Is not having third party insurance allowed in the USA? Seems like selfishness is written into the law there. I don't know about what car you can get cheaply to wreck other cars but get one that you can fit a bull bar onto. Third party injury insurance is, but not property. I have never had insurance for my car, driven for 10 years with one very minor at fault accident that took a bit of paint off the guys bumper. Paid him $200 cash to fix his dent and drove away.
In that 10 years, I would have otherwise paid about $5000-$10000. Insurance is always a losing gamble in the long term, and as long as you have enough disposable cash to self insure, you’re fine.
The only insurance I’d ever consider buying is house insurance because if your house burns down you’re fucked financially.
