Book Thread

Let's have a thread on must read books. It's been a while since I've seen one of these threads, so let's share some good books. Any topic is allowed, just give a brief description of what makes the book a must read for you or how it impacted you.

Any books on the future of genetic engineering in humans would be appreciated. Drop your redpills.

Here is a second collection of essential pol literature

...

I would love to learn mathematics, but my brain is so bad at it. I struggled to complete College Algebra, phasing out at the introduction of roots. Good list though.

Sadly I don;t have the actual second part of this list. The first part is good, so if any other pollock has the second part please post it.

bump for book. me no read much, me need book

I think "Dawn to Decadence" is a very useful book, and one that can be used as a source/starting point for further reading. It's not a right-wing book per se, but as a sympathetic overview of Western European history from 1500 to the 20th century, it's a good and (mostly) non-pozzed scholarly approach to the topic. It's also VERY readable and well-written, by a guy who was 93 at the time of publication and was summarizing a lifetime of study. It is full of side-notes and footnotes which refer to hundreds of sources for further reading if you are interested in a specific topic covered in the book.

oh pee racomand me good book

I would recommend Man, economy, and State by Murray Rothbard. A lot of the conversations on Sup Forums these days tend to be about utopian visions of government, there is even flirtation with marxist ideals. I see very little discussion on serious economic theory, and Murray Rothbard gives a good overview on government and the role of the economy.
