Some assistance with an upcoming RPG

Hey Sup Forums. I am working on a project, and I would be glad for some assistance in brainstorming.
> inb4 not your personal army
Yeah, you won’t have to attack anyone or anything on my behalf. I just want some assistance with ideas for an upcoming RPG I’m writing. If you don’t want to brainstorm for a project meant to help our common cause, just gtfo.

I want to include some subtle redpills in this, and I welcome any and all suggestions. Setting is as follows: Low fantasy/renaissance world with many small states (approximately europe without christianity). Polytheistic / pagan style religion is dominant. Magic always requires blood sacrifice, and carries heavy costs. No classical fantasy races. Only humans (and magic and monsters and shit ofc)

Clash between old and new order is central. Old order is traditionalistic pagan polytheist empire, or something approximating a nordic/roman version of hinduism. New order is akin to the French Revolution, and the royal hierarchy in a few of the countries has already fallen. Instead, the people in these lands rule themselves without nobility and in a secular manner. This is akin to modern decadence, and will be handled in the fiction as a value-dissolving, freedom-increasing force.

At the same time, there is an exotic, alien threat, somewhat akin to Turkey/Ottoman Empire. They have already invaded two times, and are now preparing for a third.I do not want to be too obvious, but I would still like to make the reader/player think about non-liberal systems in a new and not entirely dismissive way. I don’t want to reveal too much for obvious reasons, and I don’t want to explicitly make this the goal of the game, to avoid the kind of treatment Varg’s game got in the hands of critics. But I will answer questions (about the game world), and I will reply and brainstorm in this thread as well.

Thanks!

Just go make your fucking game and stop posting about it here until it's complete
I am so sick of you wannbe dev retards constantly shilling here

youve got too much shit going on and no clear path to analogise anything into a redpill. dont mashup things just because they sound cool in your head.

you dont have a story, you have a list of factions. blood magic, sand nigger invasions and decadence are all on the same side thematically...

how do you plan on "showing" liberalism?

I posted instructions for you above:

> A game world is a story

I think you misunderstand. Paper/pen RPGs usually has three components: A rule set, a game setting and the actual campaign/adventure.

Game world is sandbox, while the campaign/adventure is a railroad within that sandbox.

What I am creating at this moment, is the game setting. In this stage, multiple plot hooks are a feature, not a bug. Because a plot may be created from any of them.

read a game manual. any of them. theres a story.

>Low fantasy/renaissance world

Stopped reading here. We have enough of these. We need more cyberpunk or space opera RPGs.

Play a paper/pen rpg. There is a world, the story is usually made up by the GM, or bought separately.

>dnd: has a story
>gammaworld: has a story
>shadowrun: has a story
every other system known to man has a story

This is true, but I don't like cyberpunk, and at least in Sweden, Coriolis is adequate for space opera.

However, fantasy is often done really badly, so I want to do a new take on the genre.

Have Blood Libel as the main evil in your storyline. A cult that prays to moloch and kills children.

The Turkey/Ottoman empire have a natural disaster on one there coasts and seek refuge as migrants in the nearest town of the new order.

The new order welcomes them with open arms.

But the New order abuses the migrants gets them to do cheap jobs for food and roof over there head.

And sexually abuse them and sell them out.

Turkey starts the 3rd war due to this abuse

How does dnd have a story? It's a game setting, and the world described has a history, sure. But if you mean paper and pen RPGs have a kind of main plot, then that's just plainly false. The entire idea of a RPG is to be able to make your own plots within a game world.
I've read pretty many older dnd books, and if it's not an actual printed campaign, it just describes a game world and how it works.
In many cases, there is a story in the rulebook as well, for introduction. But that's not the actual game. It's an example of a campaign within the game world.
In my experience, the story that comes with the book is immediately thrown out and the GM makes up their own campaign after reading about the world. I see making up some sort of entry level story as very, very secondary.

Blood libel is good. Moloch is too obvious, but I'll mix it up a bit to keep it subtle.

I need some sort of (((nomads))) as well. Difficult to not make that one obvious though...

Maybe the powers funding the revolutions that created the new order and destroyed the hierarchical rule are somehow a secret society that sacrifices children?

But before war starts .

You see the new order liberals abuse the migrants and use them.

And turks plan from inside to bring down people who give them food and roof over there ahead.

The new order will collapse due to the migrants and following war.

The migrants will rise up and be inside enemy.

The old order never took the migrants or the risk of haveing different culture in there land.

Instead they send food and aid and tents to Turkey.

And receive gold and money in return what they use to build a wall.

very secondary to WHAT you dumb shit. you listed a muddled mess of shit in your OP. you want dice roll rules? you want a skill list? or are you interested in creating a

>setting
>world
>layout
>politics
>history
>antagonistic factors
>protagonistic factors
>general player context

in other words: A FUCKING STORY. youre completely missing the difference between a campaign module or an adventure with the story of the world. there are plenty of youtube videos that discuss babbys first world in great depth. go find one. did /tg/ boot your ass?

I would take inspiration from the decline and fall of the Roman Empire. Read Ammianus Marcellinus.

hell yea a fall of an empire while its having a renaissance, while getting attacked by sand niggers who are apparently not having one.

This is good, I'll read Ammianus Marcellinus.

You think I will provide you with the entire brief, and have someone dig up that I posted for tips on Sup Forums? You think I want to have my game branded as a nazi brainwashing project?

No, I will not give you the amount of context you ask for, because it will make the game identifiable.

Yeah, ofc I have a story as well, although 'protagonistic/antagonistic factions' in your list implies you can't play any side, and a 'general player context' sounds like WH40K Dark Heresy or some equally crappy railroaded setting. Apart from that, though, I got everything in your list in mind.

You fuck off, this is not a game dev board or a free labor service.
