These jobs pay like shit here and you don't do much. Around 300-400 euros and you just look around, doing nothing. It's a pretty soulless jobs. I believe that's the main reason most Italians don't apply for these jobs.
Our wages are pretty low for low level jobs because there are just too many people so there's no need to increase wages. Thus few Italians even try to find work. The leftiest parties don't know how the economy work and don't understand that a continuous influx of people just lowers wages. They even destroyed worker protections and now most jobs aren't full time or mostly temporary. Basically they fucked the labor market increasing the supply of people, giving companies more leverage to lower wages.
There's this propaganda done by the media saying that Italians don't want to do some jobs but that's completely false if you look at the data. Italians don't want to do shitty jobs with low pay which makes sense. Some company had troubles finding uni-graduates employees because it promised only a 1200 euro net monthly wage but when it increased to 1500 euros, they had tons of candidates.
