What do you guys think of all these die and reincarnate in another world anime and manga? Does Sup Forums like them?

What do you guys think of all these die and reincarnate in another world anime and manga? Does Sup Forums like them?

Is this death march?

They should make a series about truck drivers, how they are actually an secret organization of shinigamis working for gods to human traffic kids to their worlds.

We love them.

1. Sup Forums isn't one person
2. I dislike it if the MC is OP and still beta
3. The worst thing is when MC has boring interaction with other character.

>Other character worship MC like God
Fuck this shit.

Checked and would totally read. Very meta and would certainly make a change of pace.

Some parodies are fun, everything else is shit.

Solely depends on the MC and the World he goes to.

there was a point where they needed to stop and now we're clearly past them.

Depends of the actual light novel. It was an actual fresh idea at first, some really did it well, while others flopped. At this point, it really depends on whether the person who wrote it added their own spin on the idea, or is just trying to recreate the success of a certain series so is simply doing the same thing.

What's the name of this isekai series?

Not as good as school battle harem but it will fill the void for the next decade.

Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de

I enjoyed isekai.

From what series is this Chad from?

As long as it's a good series in general I don't care. I was never a genre whore, so long as it's good I'll read/watch it.

I love them

fuck yeah

>Isekai's quality depends on MC and the world around him
So like any other literature ever?

I typically do not like Isekai, but the catgirl slave character is really interesting.

Fund this.

I finally got around to reading this, and its furfag shit. I still want to give it a chance, but god damn it what a disappointment.

Re: Monster is the best isekai novel ever. All the characters are quite balanced and have a chance of wiiping out the monster army with cheap tricks.

edgefest work perfect for preteens.

I honestly don't care much about the genre.
The problem is that 99% of the shit under this genre are at the level of 5 years old's writings.
That includes the popular stuff that get animated. If you can't write good then might as well stick to medium like manga.

I like the concept and hate the application. I like it more when there's other reincarnators who are not just sycophants for the MC or if the MC is given a weakness and it's not something he just overcomes because plot.

Like if the MC is physically weak let him stay weak and battle a bit like a coward instead of just giving him body strengthening magic so the art can feature a kid with the power of 5 adults.

Nope.

Came up with a plot like that except not a shadowy organization but something like an eldritch cosmic order that sends isekai heroes to save other worlds in order to harvest all those souls in those worlds after the dust settles down. The trucks didn't have drivers though. They were sentient and transformed into optimus primes.

It's that time again.

99% of them are pretty garbage wish fulfillment. There are a couple that are okay though.

>What do you guys think of all these die and reincarnate in another world anime and manga? Does Sup Forums like them?

They are light novels, and it seems to fallow a theme of escapism, starting over existing knowledge to be supreme, or simply fallowing the most logical theme of Buddhism resurrection of "living in a shotgun shell". They are so easy to start that even (you) can do it just because the introduction of one is that cliche and the rest that comes afterwards is basically personal desire and beta male fantasies.

B is a little imbalanced. Tanya hating you is a death sentence.

>Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de
>E youre a magical girl

This is the only correct choice, since 9 times out of 10 magical girl animesare yuri bait

Once you get beyond the fact he's in a new world and died to get there, it's just fantasy bait and that's fine. Just have fun.

>cat girls
>furfag shit
Are you a homosexual by any chance?

I very much like them, it's fun to anticipate what will happen next when you know the world tropes, or to imagine what you'd do in such a situation. I recently watched grimgar and it made me appreciate said settings more, there's lots of things you don't really consider cause you tend to think of it as just a game, free of the day to day vagaries. prefer when the MC is just genre savvy and plays the system, but chosen one stories are nice too, though they are my least favorite in this context. tl:dr I like them a lot.

this is definitely anthro furfag garbage.

Oh no! A single panel with the mild suggestion of furries.
Protip: There aren't any furries.

I like them because my dream is to be sent to a fantasy world upon death and isekai allows me to think about those world's more

I like them because I like fantasy
But what I don't like about a bunch of these isekai series though is that:
-The whole isekai concept is just an excuse to bring up appraisal, skill table, levels and stat numbers for the sake of disregarding the need for interaction with the world/characters to understand them. (the idea that the characters can be summarized by numbers irks me)
-The isekai setup for MC is irrelevant other than having asspull wikipedia knowledge. Without MC bringing those up from time to time to solve problems, you would just completely forget that they are from isekai in the first place.
-The MC is so eager to kill monsters/people. It's understandable if they are already coldblooded before transporting, but most of them are just some average guys on some trucker's hit list. These guys just show up and instantly adopt a game view for the world and its living things.

Is this translated only to chapter 4?

Would it kill the authors to just make a normal fantasy setting? I mean, in some cases like Konosuba it's justified, but in others, the MC being a reincarnation of some random asshole brings absolutely nothing to the table, and things are isekai just for the hell of it.

Fuck off back to animesuki, Re:Monsterfag

Kuro no Maou is more fantasy than most isekai.

I'd like it more if the swordMC had any personality other than "LULS I need more xp!"

Is he a fucking Korean of some shit?

So basically Madoka but with isekai instead of mahou shoujo?

What are some examples you've read that fall into any of the three reasons you listed?

I wanna fuck that spider

>hero from other world hates being treated like a god
>dies
>reincarnates into our world to avoid being treated like that while growing up
>returns to the other world after 15 years
>first person she meets is a little boy who insults her for not being tall enough or big breasted enough to be the real goddess

I mean that's pretty funny.

Sometimes it's cool but a lot of the times it just devolves into a lame power fantasy that never pans out or the main character turns out to be some edgelord rapist or some bullshit.

Really any series with appraisal skill falls in line with the first one, the only exception I can think of is Log Horizon.
For the second one, top of my head are Kenja no Mago, slime, and all those shoujo/otome ones are pretty strong in this department
For the last one, the swordMC takes the biggest slice. The guy is a fucking psychopath
>I'm so bored, so I'll just massacre all these neighborhood monsters while daydreaming about being used by some sexy lady

About the first one, what's your take on stuff like that being slowly forgotten until its brought up for something remotely important? Or it being /actually/ important for reasons

sauce? goggle and Yandex aren't helping

I enjoy some of them, but the bad ones are probably the worst things I have ever laid eyes on.

Rather than being forgotten, it's probably more like MC is so OP that he doesn't even care about this guy or thing he's about the wreck. I don't know what this important thing could possibly be, but I probably won't like it if the author had to sacrifice all the possible developments for everything else just for this important thing.

Well i was talking about the appraisal/RPG system in the world. In Kumo desu ga, the system is actually an important part of the story.

I didn't care about them until the autists complaining about them made me read and enjoy them.

Nirvana from Comic Gene

No translations until the official English release of the first volume on August 8th. It's already out in French though.

thanks user

I suppose it's somewhat alright considering there aren't really any sentiment beings in the setting. With or without the system, the monsters still act like lifeless programmed drones. That said, I'd still much prefer decisions to be made through interacting and speculating than based on what appraisal reveals. And the wall of skill updates still feels unneeded and seems like a huge filler to cover up space. It's something I always skip over.

So at 30 you become a wizard, at 94 you reincarnate without memories in a young man's body in another world? The rewards scale terribly.

>sentiment
sentient

It's just like any other anime. You have to judge each one on it's own individual merits.

I enjoyed Grimgar, parts of Danmaki were good and others were shit, Overlord's an interesting subversion and so forth and so on.

As a setting, I think it's an interesting jumping off point. It's much more important how they develop it from that point on, though.

>It's something I always skip over.
I hear you, it sometimes can be a drag reading through them all.

Though i usually read some skills and want to know what they do and stuff. Though they sometimes don't have such information available so i like to speculate about what they do.

In the matter of sentience though, pretty sure at least some of them are sentient. Though the notable ones usually end up as important enemies or end up joining the MC.

Why is this guy so smug?

When will we be having New Translations?

Which isekai world would you want to be reincarnated in?

Definitely not Konosuba's one at least

Konosuba would be doable provided you have a plan AND a good choice of cheat.

Black lagoon

Just tell her you want to help kill being X and she will totally join your side.

if it has any rpg elements or some kind of videogame mechanic like leveling up then its a no go for me.
Also powerlevel bullshit

>just for the hell of it
They do it so that they have an excuse to shove a bunch of jap things into western fantasy or so that the MC has (modern/game mechanic) knowledge that nobody else does.

You really want to live in a world where you have to fight your vegetables before you eat them?

Mushoku Tensei.

Hell no.

>My power level is maximum.

> Konosuba is always justified!
Fuck you. It is not justified.

The Chronicles of a Lost Man in His Forties

Something comfy. Maybe Kenkyo Kenjitsu if I get to be a rich ojou-sama.

Good fucking luck if you're not born in either Millis, Asura, Dragon kingdom or Hogwarts.

I still don't get how this kind of ridiculously specific premise became an entire genre.

Which is really my main problem with isekai, more than with any other genre I can't ignore the fact that it feels like the same fucking thing again and again. The creative banruptcy is just so unapologetically obvious.

>ridiculously specific premise
Stories of people going back to the past/ primitive alternate universe and dominating with modern knownledge have been around for a long time

Loser otaku getting transported to fantasy world so he can go on a RPG adventure while building a harem is what you actually get.

If you wanted quality entertainment, you wouldn't be consuming japanese media

I'm not even talking about quality. I just think everything about a genre that is based on having the exact same plot premise is bizarre. When you watch the first episode of an isekai this feeling of " oh, it's this shit again", is so overwhelming, I don't get how people can get over this and keep watching.

Nope. Not sure how you got that comparison. It'd basically be isekai heroes working together to fight off cybertron/unicron so that the good they do isn't for nothing.

>don't even need to look up what is in OPs pic to know that this turns into shit few minutes in
Damn

What about
Young adventurer from fantasy world, wrecked by a carriage, reincarnate in modern day japan and after some initial struggle he starts a food shop, after this the anime becomes harem shit

More or less exists.

Id take Youjo Senki

Tanya hates me but shes a pragmantist. She wont immediately blast me away, not without a good reason if Im going to leak intel. At worst Il suffer in a house arrest making weapons to the empire and at best Il be commanding arms factory with benefits that Tanya can only dream of

Maybe one can explain her that her rage is because of being X

Also Im sure I can archer her, at least enough to escape every time. The fact that I know her general location thanks to the books will make it rather easy. Thats only if I cant turn myself in however.

You don't? The more vicious the vegetable, the more delicious they taste.
Just staying in Axel is already worth it. I'd be a regular customer there even after maxing out in levels.
