When Marnie Was There

So, how much intentional was the incestuous lesbian subtext in this movie?

A lot

Pls respond

there is nothing wrong about wanting to have lesbian relations with grandma

Anna is cute! Cute!

I can hardly think of a love more forbidden.
Also I'm surprised by the almost complete lack of lewd art.

I feel like hentai and doujin artists shy away from Ghibli works in general out of a sense of purity. Like I have a hard time imagining even ShindoL making an NTR doujin about The Wind Rises or something.

Maybe it's Miyazaki's memetic vocal disdain towards lewds turns them off from actually doing anything with the material

Well stuff like Wind Rises or Ponyo I can understand is hard to sexualize, but Mononoke for example I believe has a decent amount of lewds.

Lets not forget that one Nausicaa doujin

You know the one.

You've got them wrong again like that time when Tomino made fun of Miyazaki after the Totoro bath scene.

It lends itself to that kind of doujin.

What did the bald autist say? There was nothing wrong about that scene.

He called Maestro a pedo. That scene had hebe ass and nipples though.

How insightful Tomino sensei, really made me think!

Once you finish it you realize suck in inferences are incorrect.

really?

That milf is the exception. She is just too damn fine.

>implying

So was MC insane or was Marnie actually a ghost?

>10/10 woman
>husband leave you for work in the sea for years
>bored, become village bicycle
>pregnant
>husband come home, see a little girl in house
>"she come from the sea"

Marnie was the spirit of her grandmother projecting their meetings over old memories (boat rides at night, dancing with Kazuhiko, the windmill) so Anna was a part of it. Judging from the wink that Marnie's father gives Anna I believe he was a spirit aware of the illusion too.

It really doesn't matter.

Fuck, I'll never look at that movie the same again.

On point

Anna and Marnie have such cute designs. Why did nobody go to see this movie?

I can, but Flip Flappers ruined it.

Very comfy movie. Incredible soundtrack too.

>Why did nobody go to see this movie?
What?

It did terribly at the box office.

Did it? That's a shame.
Not that it matters anymore.

...

gross

Is it Yuribait? I think so.
Story-wise I view it as MC inserting herself into her grandfather's POV, so the interaction seem romantic.
