If you go against the wave you are going to be ground up and destroyed. Even if you are able to keep your head above water with a herculean effort...you are not going to change the world.
Your best bet is to take care of yourself and your family the best you can. Pass the flame that lives within you to the next generation and never let it fade.
When the time is right we will all know what to do. There is absolutely no use forcing the issue. Society is in a death spiral.
We have either been born to live in the spiral or see the end where we must rebuild.
Stoicism, self improvement, survivalism, military/outdoor skills, we all be helpful. But the best thing you can do is pass your knowledge about life onto your children.
You can either ride the wave or hasten the death spiral...which honestly seems risky and dishonorable.
