Would've Kobayashi been a success if it wasn't about dragons, but mermaids instead?
Would've Kobayashi been a success if it wasn't about dragons, but mermaids instead?
No.
It would make Tooru more appealing since her main form isn't a giant lizard but at the same time Kanna would actually be a loli.
No, this is the year of the dragons.
The same series composer did Umi Monogatari and nobody even remembers that.
It would've been more successful if it was about cats.

Fit or fat?

WRONG
It was doomed from the start.
You mean basically Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san except more relaxed?
Don't eat that starfish, Kanna.
What do you mean? Were sales not good?
But Muromi already came to shore.
wow.
people still remember this anime.
Most people don't have severe memory problems.
It would've been a success if MC were a male.
They tried that already. Didn't work as well as they planned.

I want more of this.

It wasn't successful?
it wasn't even about dragons though. It was about regular humans with the animation equivalent of "IM A DRAGON" written on their foreheads in marker.
That is to say, their being dragons didn't actually matter in the slightest, so swapping "dragon" for any other fantasy creature would have no effect.
Should have just made a show about their home world would have been a million times better than "Tohru tries to make Kobayashi eat her tail again" repeated again and again.
Wasn't it bested by Youjo Senki? Which was made by a first timer animation company? That's kind of sad.
