Had two seasons, a movie and even a bunch of "side material" (Manga, School Idol Diary, Drama CD)

>Had two seasons, a movie and even a bunch of "side material" (Manga, School Idol Diary, Drama CD)

>Still ended up being (at best) a boring and forgettable character that plays second fiddle to Nozomi, Nico and the rest or at worst the most badly written and clusterfuck character out of the cast

I just don't fucking understand Sup Forums: were the writers intentionally trying to make a shitty character? How in the hell is it possible to make to have so much time and so much material and still end up with a terrible character? I just don't understand

I still want to ravage her anus so apparently they did something right.

Counterpoint, the scene where she abashedly tries to hide her lewd body in her swimsuit. All is forgiven

She is Umi approved

She is the only good thing in that shit show.

>It's okay if she's a bad character just as long as she makes me horny!

>implying there are good characters in love live

Shit taste

You are aware you're watching Love Live, right?

Look there's a difference characters like Maki, Nozomi, Nico, hell even Honoka who may not be the most fleshed out characters but at least have something going for them depth wise and someone like Eli (and Kanan for that matter) who have nothing. Even using the sex appeal excuse don't work

Because people are stupid don't care about actual depth or character development just as long as there is a character that makes them horny or whatever superficial trait, no matter how mediocre or poorly written they are

Eli doesn't make me that horny.

Yet She's the cutest and her singing is really good.

Eli and Kanan ruined this franchise (or at least drag it down a bit)

We're talking about anime, doode.

Shit like "depth", "good writting"™ and blahblahblah get relegated to a second plane when horniness is involved

her entire point was that she was foreigner, tall blonde and had blue eyes

Doesn't justify her existence. There are tons of anime foreigner characters that actually get development or at least some depth

Being cute (which is debatable) and singing voice shouldn't be the only determinations weather a character is good or not. It's how fleshed out a character is and how relevant they are in the story. Two things the russian had neither of.

I seeing a video, it was a pool or something,it was in japan, and quite a lot of people said she was their favorite character so I guess it was good enough
either that or maybe there's some other niche her character targets that we both just don't get

>half Russian
>best body
>best seiyuu
>literally second in importance in µ's after Honkers
Your claim is incorrect.

I *remember seeing a video

>half Russian

How is that supppose to be a good point?

>best body

Maki and Nozomi are far hotter

>best seiyuu

Nanjo is alright but she is overrated. And even she couldn't salvage Eli as a character

>literally second in importance in µ's after Honkers

Umi was the second important and Rin wa the one who took over µ's in S2. Eli was never important besides being a shitty antagonist to the others and being Nozomi's bitch

Eli is a shit character let's just accept that already l

>Maki and Nozomi are far hotter
Nozomi could be, Maki? Nope.
>Nanjo is overrated
Easily the best singer of µ's along with Mimorin and Pile.
Also, she's the only µ's seiyuu who actually told people to support Aqours.

>Umi was the second important and Rin was the one who took over µ's in S2

Can give you Umi, but Rin? Absolutely not.

You know for a board that likes to criticize characters for being and underdeveloped, the fact that you guys try to defend Eli and Kanan for suffering that same problem "all because they are hot or sing good in Eli's case" is just stupid

*boring and underdeveloped

The letters represent their cup sizes in 10 years

The fact that so many fanboys still name Eli Ayase as "the greatest or most significant or most hottest" idol ever only tells you how far Love Live still is from becoming a serious art. iDOLM@STER fans have long recognized that the greatest idol musicians of all times are Makoto Kikuchi and Takane Shijou, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Aikatsu fans rank the highly controversial Aoi Kiriya over Aikatsu idols who were highly popular in courts around Japan. Love Live fanboys are still blinded by fan art and porn. Eli Ayase has porn and fan art more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore she must have been the greatest. iDOLM@STER fans grow up listening to a lot of 765 idols of the past, Aikatsu fans grow up listening to a lot of Starlight Academy idols of the past. Love Live fanboys are often totally ignorant of the idol music of the past, they barely know good taste. No wonder they will think that Eli Ayase did anything worthy of being saved.

Hopefully, one not-too-distant day, there will be a clear demarcation between a great idol like Nico Yazawa, who never sold much, and commercial mediocrity like Eli Ayase. At such a time, Love Live fanboys will study their idol history and understand which idols accomplished actual development, and which simply were terrible overall.

I want to fuck Elichi.

>Mankoto
>Nico

>Easily the best singer of µ's along with Mimorin and Pile.
I actually like Riho iida's singing the most, for some reason.

I think their director really dropped the ball on Eli. she really is forgettable compared to some of the others.

The only characters with something resembling depth were Nico, Maki and lardass in S2.

She was the typical character that loses all uniqueness once she loses her abrasiveness. The "being a little cunt" role was already taken by Nico and Maki, anyway.

Hence why she's bad character and even in S1 she wasn't that good. Being a bitch to everyone except Nozomi isn't that interesting either.

Rin (at least in S2) and Honoka had some depth as well

Also S1 Eli was not unique in the slightest:

>I'm a bitch to everyone because my ballet and my ego to save the school!"

As forgettable and irrelevant as she was in S2 and movie, let's not pretend she was ever good to begin with

Oh fucking please. All the characters (even fucking Hanayo) have at least SOMETHING going for them character wise. Eli doesn't

Eli Ayase is just proof that idol franchises should stop having 9+ idols in a cast because if your not going to bother developing or doing anything interesting with your characters, why bother then?

Look at bright side OP: Eli is probably the most unpopular character in the franchise so there's that at least.

I can't understand Sup Forums:

>Eli: Student Council President, Bitch to µ's at first, ends up joining the group: A shit
>Dia: Student Council President, Bitch to Aqours at first, ends up joining the group: Top 3 easy.

Dia was nowhere near as bitchy as Eli. She had a reason to be tough on Chika and others: because of the screw up she, Kanan and Mari had and she didn't want them to go thru the same shit they dealt with. And Dia actually stayed relevant when joining her group unlike Eli

This but unironically

Until this day I have still no fucking idea why she was so opposed about everything.

Eli Ayase should have just been a side character: someone who at first was reluctant to help μ's (without being a cunt to them) but warms up to them and helps there here and there. She doesn't join at all but teaches them dancing and stays the Student Council President. At least then, people wouldn't bitch about her being irrelevant and boring then

boards.fireden.net/_/search/text/The fact that so many fanboys still name Eli Ayase/

She's much more bearable, caring and all around less of a stuck up bitch in the game.

You are only trying to bully Eli because she's Russian you racist cunts.

Stop filling my head with lewd images.

Still works you have to admit

All Eli's character drama was in S1. In S2 she established herself as the group's "dad" so most of plot wasn't centered on her. Similar thing happen with second year trio and Maki so Nozomi,Nico and to lesser extent RinPana seem to shine more instead.

>How is that supppose to be a good point?

Russian girls are the best you retard.

She never should have been part of the cast then if they weren't going to develop her or give her any relevance aside being a generic "big sis" figure that she couldn't even do that. And the problem she that she DIDN'T even develop in S1 either (oh look I'm a bitch for plot reasons, now I'm slightly less of a bitch and doing nothing for the rest of the series). And the second year trio and Maki had their share of development in S2. Eli is the only one who got nothing in general throughout the entire series

Honestly this

>Maki
>Hotter
What did he mean by this?

Maki has the best legs you heathen

post pics or webm please

I still don't really get the complaint I mean, yeah she was on the backburner for most of the show but thats because all her interesting stuff happened in the first half of season one, she was their first big obstacle to overcome and acted like a intermediary antagonist they eventually won over. And the scene where she finally joins made me shed some tears man, it'd been built up well and really made me like her character.

After that, well, she'd done her development, she was just there as a friend of the rest of the cast and to be who she is and react to things like the rest of them, they could have done more with her but i'll always be grateful for what they DID do with her to begin with.

Guys, what's the one that sounds like fucking Alvin the chipmunk?

At first I thought ir was Hanayo, but yesterday I saw a vídeo of Susume Tomorrow and the one who sounded like that is Kotori.

Is that the one?

That's debatable.

Kanan shared more similarities to Eli despite Dia taking up her role.

In which case shes just as bad if not worse acting cold deliberately out of 'good' intentions rather than being awkward and distant

Because they didn't develop her at all. Because she only used as a plot device for stupid conflict and when it was done did nothing relevant or said anything relevant. Why can't you understand that? Why can't these damn writers give her a personality? Why can't they had develop her and actually do something with her? Why?

wrong!

I don't care for Eli, I care for Nanjo.

There are more irrelevant and annoying characters in the show, though.

Think of Rin and Hanayo, for example.

Why are some of you guys even defending her? I thought most of this general disliked Eli for being irrelevant and bland

She is neither irrelevant nor bland.

So you didn't watch S2 or the movie? Or even S1 where she was just a shitty bitch and nothing else?

Let's just admit that Eli Ayase is a bad character and finally put an end to this thread

>Nico with a !
So what would that be?

...

Dia get a personality after joining Aqours, she is more like Nico that Eli after that

her wife Nozom is cute

>Rin

Even she got her own episode to develop in season 2

This is now a Maki thread.

Post more Maki please. Might as well try to salvage this thread while we still can

Happy to oblige

...

>all this bait
>hating on best Raibu
0/10

This. Eli is the most hated character in the franchise and at this point, it isn't going to change. At least there's some justice.

I think you mispelt Ruby.

For Aqours maybe

>Poster said "On the franchise"
>Aqours is also part of the Love Live franchise.
I'm sure Eli isn't the most hated character.

seriously, i stayed for maki and nico. they all suck except for them two

>second fiddle to nico
>anyone being worse than nico

Nico was the worst out of the 9

fuck off pls

>This thread (which was just one guys autism related anger over some idol) last for 10 hours now

I don't know how to feel about this

Please, I know for a fact Rin, Hanayao, Kotori, Umi and Honoka are less popular than her.
Stop being faggots.

She is cute!

i didn't even know rin's name until season 2

Umi is great tho
