Israel has carried out one of its most substantial attacks on Syria in weeks, with a pre-dawn flurry of airstrikes against an army base and weapons depot outside of the capital city of Damascus.
The airstrikes began at 2:40 am local time, with planes striking from Lebanese airspace. Syria claimed to have hit one of the Israeli planes in retaliation, though Israel has yet to confirm this.
This wasn’t the end, either. After the airstrikes, Israel fired a flurry of surface-to-surface missiles against the same Syrian base from Israeli territory. Syria reported their air defenses managed to intercept at least some of these.
As is so often the case, Israel did not comment on their attack. Despite having attacked Syria almost constantly throughout the past several years, Israel maintains that they are “neutral” on the war.

Take this example. In WW2 there were multiple skirmishes between Portugal and the Nazis, and Switzerland an the Nazis. Yet both Portugal and Switzerland were always neutral.

Most targets are weapon stockpiles intended for Hezbollah. After the 2nd Lebanon war part of the UN resolution that included withdrawal of IDF forces, was disarmament of the Hezbollah - which never happened because neither UN or Lebanese army are willing or capable to enforce it. That why since forever Israel been saying that it will intercept any attempts to arm Hezbollah, and we've been destroying Syrian weapon convoys heading to Lebanon even before the civil war. If you look up the most causualities during the last raid are Hezbollah fighers.

Dude, Israel has had a massive network of spies in Syria since shit popped off in 2011. They are crawling all over Damascus looking for Hezbollah intel. Sure, most of the shit Hezbollah gets and is redistributed throughout their theaters (right now there is heavy involvement in the south of Syria to secure roads that would link a major Hezbollah nexus in southern Lebanon with the one in Southern Syria.
The Kikes aren't attacking the SAA specifically, they are attacking the logistics train of the most effective combat arm fighting under the umbrella that is the Syrian Government, Hezbollah.
If the Kikes wanted to, they could decapitate the Syrian government overnight and there would be no one to stop them. That is the amount of autonomy their military has over Syria at the moment. The Civil War completely shattered the SAA and its air defenses, not like Arabs could into A2A let alone S2A.
tl;dr Israel is going to ramp up strikes in Syria because they sense a strategic threat (Hebzollah) is growing in both material and competency.

Where did I say it wasn't? Lol, this is simply an anonymous post on Sup Forums, not my masters thesis.
There are obvious elements that can explain Israeli actions in Syria, most of which are centered around harassing Hezbollah any chance they get and keeping Syria unstable so Hezbollah uses more resources, thus keeping them engaged in that theater and not actively preparing for any engagement with Israel.
A post Syrian Civil War means Hezbollah will be powerfully positioned in both Syria and Lebanon with all kinds of heavy hardware that they otherwise wouldn't have gotten their hands on without the Civil War.
The amount of tension in that part of the world is really something, when Syria winds down (if it ever does, just the lingering insurgency that will inevitably plague Syria gives me anxiety) I fully expect another Israeli-Arab conflict to arise.
