I summon Gemini Elf in Attack Mode

...

GET REKT

I attack with my gene-warped warwolf, full-moon fang!

Fool

...

...

STOP!

...

...

It's too late

power creep is a bitch, isn't it.

YAMERO!

I use my uncensored Japanese Dark Magician Girl to summon childhood boners

What does this do again?

It's over you couldn't stop it

>uncensored
>literally all it shows is cleavage

This is how I know you're from Burgerland.

One thing that ygo will always have that magic doesn't is that it's so anime I'm actually fully surprised there's not an isekai deck on the make.

How do you think an isekai-themed deck could work? You summon extra deck monsters to the opponent's side of the field or something?

It allows me to draw 2 more cards.

Links format is gonna shit on most extra deck strategies.

Monster goes to the graveyard, special summons a stronger version with a broken effect.

But draw 2 cards from where?

>not the superior Toon version

Step up nigga.

I special summon my slightly disgusted celctic guardian in attack position

Now that you put it that way, it'd be the worst helmet deck in the history of YGO, revolving around increasing attack value with the harem being either being level one shitters designed to bring out the isekai versions or support cards. Can't help but feel they'd be Nekroz 2.0

My deck.

I special summoning a worse for wear celtic guardian in special attack mode

I synchro summon my enraged battle celtic guardian into the graveyard and draw two cards

I tribute three of my cooler celtic guardians to ritual sacrifice my thousand eyes celtic guardian of time

This allows me to synchro pendulum my celtic underwear card. And because I have a one star card in my hand and due to my celtic underwear's effect, I can special summon it onto the field. Then I fusion special summon adolescent celtic guardian onto the field and end my turn

Or maybe it's because other than OCG, the available option is TCG, which is American and OCG is mainly in Asian regions while western english speaking countries mainly play by TCG.

I special summon my Ascended Celtic guardian onto the field. And because the rest of my hand is comprised of celtic guardian cards and because the rest of my monster fields is celtic guardians and because my spell and trap zones is celtic guardians and because my link zones linked a celtic guardian from your zone to my link monster my ascended celtic guardian automatically wins

D.D. archetype is pretty much isekai already.

I dimension summon my cubic celtic guardian onto the dimension zone and gain 15 more turns

I don't know what I believe in.

Is Toon deck even playable past their era? I wasn't aware of them getting any more supports past the main series run and certainly not XYZ onward.

I special summon my completely normal celtic guardian from my hand onto the field and discard my celtic guardian from my hand into the graveyard

>a card that requires no cost to summon
>other one can be special summoned at the cost of the original

For what purpose

The guy may be just messing around but skull servant deck kinda function like that since you want as many skull servants to be in the grave to power up king of skull serv.

If my entire hand is nothing but celtic guardians I can draw 10 extra cards from my deck to my hand due to one of them being a Scholarly Celtic Professor

And because the other 10 cards I drew were also celtic guardians, I can continue to draw cards

I drew every card in my deck and they were all celtic guardians, because of my card's effect I need to draw more cards and because I have no more left you win the game

Good match, friend

My DECK

I summon my HPV positive Celtic Guardian that removes all celtic guardians from the game.

Fortunately, my entire deck is comprised of celtic guardians so you win the game for now.

Until next time dweeb

I summon my retrospective celtic guardian. Now I toss a coin and if it lands heads even once out of five tosses I lose the game otherwise I win.

Be very afraid

I special summon my agnostic celtic guardian onto the field.

unless you provide proof of a higher power by summoning exodia or Horakhty onto the field Agnostic Celtic Guardian cannot be removed from the field

>getting mad because someone used the word uncensored correctly

back to tumblr with you

>Is Toon deck even playable past their era?
>entire field wipes to MST
They never were

Ban this degenerate filth

>not actually posting it
you fucking pussy

Because I have only two monsters on the field and because they're both Celtic Guardians I can tribute them both and tribute summon my Lonely Celtic Guardian

But because there are no other Celtic Guardians on the field my Lonely Celtic Guardian must be removed from play

I let you off easy this time

The actual YGO tcg has gotten so complicated and expensive it's not worth playing anymore. Like literally every card has 6+ lines of descriptions on what the card actually does.

I don't play competitive anymore but I bet rulings must be a nightmare to deal with. YGO is really best played online instead of a physical tcg but too bad Konami will never do that.

>free summon and search
>only downside is once per turn
>absolutely no reason to not run 3
Is there worse power creep I should know about? The most broken thing was Cyber Dragon before I stopped playing.

...

They're certainly better now then they ever were. With the fair amount of support they got in recent years you can make a shit ton of deck styles for them. My favorite is the Magician Girl variant style, which abuses the Magician Girls to help the spellcaster Toons. Combined with anti-meta cards like Magician's Left/Right hand, Lose 1 Turn, and Passionate Duelist, it can hold its own against most decks, and will only get better in the new Link format.

Not all toon monsters get destroyed when toon world leaves the field.

>YGO is really best played online instead of a physical tcg but too bad Konami will never do that.
There's already fanmade simulators for that. Who cares about what konami will do or not. Also, if konami tries to make it online, you'll still be looking at spending money on DLCs etc as the equivalent of buying booster packs.

Terrortop seems pretty similar to Toad/Frog deck tactics though. Special summon and search a bunch of cards, presumably to use to xyz in one turn. That's not really much of a power creep. The power creep is in the xyz themselves where some rank 4 can do shit like negate effects out theirs asses with minimal costs.

Hell, that stopped being a thing after Toon Dark Magician Girl. The only Toons worth using that still have that effect are the spellcasters, and even then that's mostly for Dark Renewal.

Old toon deck is playable by virtue of the fact that back then there weren't a lot of toon cards anyway so you'll need non-toon for support to get a proper deck anyway. So really, MST won't be wiping the field. You set up your non-toons for defense, searching or whatever and stall for like 2 or so turns to hit hard with some like toon blue eyes.

>Is there worse power creep I should know about?
This is the worst thing Konami ever did.
This deck put like 15 cards on the banlist.

So this thing is strong because it lets you summon monsters from the Graveyard free of charge, then banish it, then add another Earth monster to your hand?

Stuff that lets you swarm is strong because it means you get to get out stronger xyz very quickly.

There are 4 big dragons like this, one of each element (Earth, Wind, Fire Water). The only difference between them is the element and the discard effect.

Then there are 4 little dragons that all have the effect "discard this card and one dragon/element monster and special summon big dragon of same element from your deck".

Then there's a bunch of cards that weren't meant to be used as support but work really well anyways. The problem is that you just can't get rid of them. If you destroy them they come back. If you banish them they come back. You can make things like big eye and dracosac with them (take control of your opponents monsters or destroy anything and have an indestructible monster) You also get to draw like 3-6 extra cards per turn because of seven star swords and super rejuvenation.

Usually swarming comes at a cost to your hand though. Dragons are stupid because everything gives you huge plusses, and even if you run out of hand you can just summon them all back from your grave every turn, which adds more to your hand.

The dragon rulers were meant to be support cards you can add into a Earth/Water/Fire/Wind deck to give it a boost.
There are 4 dragons and 4 baby dragon of the same element. They share a theme of effect (you can banish 2 {element} and/or dragon type from hand/grave to special summon, you can discard it + 1 {element} to get an effect depending on the dragon, if this card is banished you can add one {element} dragon type from your deck to your hand. You can only activate one effect per turn, and only once that turn). The baby dragon has an effect to let you special summon a big dragon by discarding it and an {element} monster or another dragon.

However, their effect synergizes so well with each other, as well as existing Dragon supports (even rubbish cards like Super Rejuvenation) that the deck skyrocketted to Tier 0 status. For nearly 2 years and through 3-4 banlist every viable deck was some variation of Dragon Rulers. Toward the end, the baby versions were banned, and the big dragon are limited to one each, and decks still revolved around them. After that banlist, Konami just chucked them all into the banlist, along with a bunch of other cards that were fine/underpowered/useless without them before.

The problems ran deeper than that. Even with them at 1 with Super Rejuv/Baby Dragons/etc.. banned, Mythic Ruler was still solid T1, and Dark Matter Turbo was wrecking face over at the OCG. With them at 1, they still gave a nice boost to element decks like Gadgets and the like, but having a T1 deck using them as main engine despite being 1 of each was too much for Konami

I activate that grass looks greener, letting me send cards to the graveyard until my deck equals your deck. Response?

>Toward the end, the baby versions were banned, and the big dragon are limited to one each
That happened immediately after worlds which was like
The dragons came out May 17, 2013 and the baby dragons being banned/big dragons being limited along with hits to super rejuv/seven star swords/RDD/G Sarc etc was September 2013.

infinitely summonable premium stat level 7s that also search more cards and have other utility effects are pretty good

So how were these two guys? Were they any good?

I remember being creeped out by them and thought they were pretty cool, but never knew how well they actually performed.

The best deck in the OCG is just regular old tribute summoning with spell and trap support. The game isn't as crazy as you think.

But he didn't. The western version of the dark magician girl has the cleavage erased. It looks weird as fuck, but most cleavages are effectively censored. It might seem retarded to censor cleavage, but they do.

Wasn't this the deck that convinced Konami to change the format to 3 months instead of 6? Or was that Inzektors?

>After that banlist, Konami just chucked them all into the banlist, along with a bunch of other cards that were fine/underpowered/useless without them before
Because Dark Matter D-Rulers were making noise in the OCG even with just 1x D-Rulers. TCG preemptively banned them before Dark Matter was released over here.

DMG was actually pretty strong back in the day.

Thousand-Eyes used to be busted as fuck, but now he's mainly used for instant fusion plays. You can probably still make a decent relinquished deck now that rituals got a ton if support.

...

Sure when playing with other kids at recess. It was never meta relevant.

this card is gay as fuck

Kek, that's a dick move.

Who cares about the meta though
She's hot

Baby got banned first though in September, the daddies didn't get limited until January 2014. I remember trying a Fusion Gate Hero Ruler pet deck that could consistently churn out Rainbow Neos. Its actually ridiculous how consistent the Ruler engine was.

To add, not only they were generating crazy plusses every turn and churn out strong R7 like Big Eyes and Dracosac, they were also capable of easily bringing out strong synchros by splashing a couple of dragon tuners. Crimson Blader was strong that banlist for its ability to disable summoning of level 5+ monsters, and the premier deck that summon level 5+ monsters could constantly shit it out turn 1/2 with 2 cards. They could shit out Star Eater with just a special summoned dragon + Debris Dragon. Even after they were limited to one, the Mythic Ruler variant could go into Rank 8 to take advantage of Galaxy Eyes/Felgrand

>playing with some kid in like 2000 or something
>whip out muh virus crush card
I got punched a lot.

That's basically ragequit: the card, isn't it.

It's the table flip card.

They were kinda good at a time. Relinquished's effect didn't destroy or banish, so it bypassed a lot of protection effects. The fusion in particular became useful when fusion support came out, but they were really useful for a short period of time. They were relatively hard to get out and good in some specific situations, a few decks could abuse them but otherwise they got left behind very quickly.

I always stacked my deck so I would open with Cyber Dragon and then I would let my opponent go first.

>cheating

And yet somehow peak dragon rulers were still weaker than peak OCG performapal performage.

Remove dragon

It's banned now though because people would side deck it so if they won game 1 they could tie 2/3 and win the match
was fucking cancer

He's just playing like kaiba. this asshole always open the game with Ultimate white dragon.

Yugi and Kaiba are incredible cheaters though
I mean Yugi can draw any card he wants at any time and his Dark Magician on more than one occassion did random shit out of its turn.

>peak dragon rulers were still weaker

>peak dragon rulers
>weaker than anything

peak dragon rulers are pretty much the strongest non-high consistency FTK/OTK deck in YGO.

It's very hard to play, and having that card in your deck is a signal of having a strong loser mentality. A card that's only useful when you're being pummelled, and only allows you to get a draw, totally useless. If there were a card with an effect like, "you don't lose even with 0 life points as long as you have this card on the field" it might be useful with cards that give your opponent life points or something like that.

There were tons of "what if" matches and EMEm came out on top pretty handidly. The boards it makes are ridiculous. It shuts down anything. The TCG had an emergency banlist after a week to stop a much weaker version of the deck.

>A card that's only useful when you're being pummelled, and only allows you to get a draw, totally useless.
In a game maybe. The thing is that YuGiOh is best 2 of 3 matches, and you have a side deck of 15 cards you can swap around between games. If you win game 1 you can swap in self destruct button to tie game 2 and 3 with makes you win the match.

>having a strong loser mentality
Well duh, ragequitting is a loser act.

Even without this though, a draw is better than a loss.

Negro pls. Pepe would get curbstomped by peak Spellbooks, much less Dragon Rulers in their prime. The only reason it was E-banned was because it was tier 0 while the cards were easy to get.
