Akatsuki No Yona

What does Sup Forums think about this anime?

Akatsuki no yona was pretty much what i'd waited for my whole life, totally loved it

Season 2 when?

It was a masterpiece. Best shounen I have ever seen. Season 2 never though. We'll just continue with the manga.

>shounen
It is technically a shoujo, not a shounen anime.

Doesn't mean its not a masterpiece though.

>red long haired heroine
>cuts her hair
>gets strong
>receives her complimentary handsome men
same plot everytime

i like it

All I know is Snow White with Red Hair. The only other red-haired heroine that I can remember is Hikaru, and she kept her cute braid.

Though as decent as this show is, it does feel a little cut and paste in some areas.

It never gets old!

Had any other heroine of that kind give you this stare?

This.

If you faggots were here while it was airing, or knew how to use the archives, you would know.

Lurk more, shit stain.

When anime producers stop making bad fanservice crap... or, in other words, never.

I-I liked it.

Getting mad at some few people that want to have a discussion about something they like. What fucking trash :'D

>300x168 Fairy Tail reaction image

Kill yourself.

Funny how people like you think /pol or newfags are making this place shit. Ironic.

it was good and then it wasn't

Anime was really good: faithful to the source, not much QUALITY, music was nice (second ED was amazing). But it stopped right when the adventures started in the manga.
A second season would be perfect, but as far as I remember it had some issues with sales (delayed release, some nips hating it because it's Korea/China inspired) so the numbers don't justify another one.

It would be great if you guys actually discussed shit with these threads. Instead, it's just a thinly veiled rec thread where newfags gather and chat about nothing. 2014 was three years ago. If you didn't watch it with Sup Forums, you're too new to be posting.

Fuck off back to wherever you came from.

A poor man's Youko Nakajima.

>...
Lurk more. Or even better: Fuck off.

The manga was decent from what I've read, I'll finish it when the manga ends (if I can wait). I really like shoujo adventure manga with strong female MCs. Basara is one of my favourites but I haven't found much else like it.

No, she never gives that look. She also stopped being the focus of her show half way through it.

Hidden gem.

I liked it, even if it felt a bit harem-y and self indulgent. That moment where Yona shoots the arrow on the boat was insanely satisfying and memorable even though it's a pretty simple thing. That OST track is too hype.

Also Hak is stupid fucking hot.

I couldn't make it through the first few episodes. Is it worth stomaching to make it through to the end if I'm generally not a fan of romance or harems?

You should, the romance and the "harem" aren't the main focus.

Very good. Manga gets even better in the arcs after the anime ends

7 Seeds

The focus is on the adventure and Yona's group working to save the kingdom. Harem is minimal, Hak already won.

I've only seen part of it. I am planning on watching more but in general my 2 big anime peeves:

1) Shoujo female lead who is ~not like the other girls~ Like fuck off with that. I hate that garbage. I want a female lead who is believable, not one there to prove that ~shoujo girls are tough too~.

2) Slow romance. Not interested in romantic subplots that drag on and on and on. That's why I dropped the anime, because I heard that the romance goes very slowly. I might pick it up if I see more sexy scenes with Hak floating around.

>delayed release
I still want to know the story behind this. It probably would've sold reasonably better if not for it.

I never got the sense that Yona is ~not like the other girls~ or that we're supposed to see her thay way. There is a serious lack of other female characters for her to be friends with though, especially in the anime. The manga later introduces Lili, she's great.
But the romance is slow. I like it though, at least you know this one is actually going to pay off. It already has paid off, in a way.

It's adventure = politics > comedy = action > fantasy = romance, even if the official marketing calls it a "historical fantasy romance".

It's a shame that the anime didn't do well, it's currently one of Hana to Yume's bestsellers, if not the bestseller.

But they likely greenlit Takane to Hana for their next anime adaption, after Fukumenkei Noise.

White is for ???

The manga is pretty fucking good right now. That little kiss for Yona was so cute.

Hana to Yume is the best. Every time I see that Netherlands stripe at the top of a manga cover I know it'll be at least decent.

I like it a lot, Yona is super cute.
Still haven't read the manga even though I promised Sup Forums I would.

Anal.

What the hell happened with her right hand?

>they likely greelit Takane to Hana
I'm totally ready for the autistic retard love story of the century

I love the slutty green dragon

it's pretty great.
this shit was pretty fucked up

It's a shame that Hak is the main character with the least character development so far. HakYona should be right up my alley but I ship YonaLili.

...

It's ok.
I despise the "don't kill them just hurt them" trope. It insults the intelligence of children. This has plenty of that.

except it doesn't fuck off

The entire boat sequence with what's her bitch was that trope. The whole thing except the extreme end.
I have the tank zips somewhere.

Trust me when I say I'm not a yurifag. I just think they're adorable together.

>kills the man
>don't kill them just hurt them
???
Also the Dragons and Hak kill all the time.
The only time what you said happened was that one time with jae-ha but he got over it pretty quickly

>they likely greenlit takane to Hana
Really? Source

Lilli is a great character. The bad thing for me is that I ship her with Suu won and I know he's gonna die. Ah well. Her interactions with yona are cute though

It's just speculation from the Takane to Hana's high tanko sales and due to how they always have some anime adaption to promote in the recent years. They had a year-long(?) cross country campaign to promote the series too. It's going to be HanaYume's next anime in all likelihood.

The series seemed really well planed and all, so I doubt it was a schedule fuck up.

>There is a serious lack of other female characters for her to be friends with
This so much. Yun should have been a girl.

>The entire boat sequence with what's her bitch was that trope.
But the whole pirate arc was exactly the opposite: Yona realizing she can't save everyone without hurting others, and actually killing in order to do so.
Also, >the Dragons and Hak kill all the time.
I can't remember right now if Yona ever kills again, but she shoots without doubt and never complains about killing when needed.

Is this worth reading/watching for Shin-ah alone?

Dragons don't get too much spotlight, but Shin-ah is probably the one with the most (after Zeno). Still, little to no spotlight. Sorry.

Thanks for the warning. I almost started to binge read 100+ chapters after reading his introductory chapter for nothing.

it's the closest we got to an actual fire emblem anime which is fine by me

I watched it for Chiwa

Is her hair growing back?

Yes. It was fixed in the anime but cut shorter in the manga for visible growth.

It's garbage piece of trash for landwhales and fujoscums.

This is fanservice crap too

>Yona will never push you against a tree and bully your dick

Yona is shit

Calm your ovaries

calm your whale

Soo-Won best boy.

Wait. I found this in the archives.

Takane to Hana isn't as live action-friendly as Fukumenkei Noise or even Namaikizakari, it's most likely an anime.

Earth General best boy. Forgot his name but best boy.

Soo Won did literally nothing wrong.

I want to fuck Zeno.

I watched the whole first season but I don't know if I enjoyed. Some moments where kinda cool and some characters were interesting, but in the end I couldn't really get invested in the story.

Also, the romance is pretty weak, and besides the MC there are no girls to root for or pairings to ship.

>I want to fuck Zeno.
I thought Zenofags were only a myth.

(OP)
Not bad, solid 5/10.

it was boring as hell
