Checkmate

1 move from checkmate, Julian's cat must feel like a big guy

Thanks I’m a chess retard.

white wins here

Yea 1 move away.

Who is to move?

Julian assange is controlled opposition LARP. Anybody that doesn't think he is an operative is an idiot.

I don’t see white getting a checkmate in one move here

Trump's 5D chess

Getting desperate, kike?

this is not 1 move from checkmate you fucking leaf, stop lying to and misleading people. white wins after a long and drawn out defense but he must be accurate and not let black mount a counterattack for the extra material he lost (rook for bishop and knight and doubled isolated pawns on the G file)

I feel like this is a Bobby Fischer game for some reason, I've seen it before somewhere in a chess book.

go reverse-psychology somewhere else, shill

ITS A CHECKMATE

t. kike faggot nigger

They arent one move away from checkmate, but even still thats the pleb way of looking at it.

I imagine theres some sort of name for this position/formation on the board.

it's called the 'Assange Blitz'

I think it's called how the fuck did this happen anyway?

How u kno dis?

Coincidentally, it's called the pedo's defense.

I am a novice chess player but I too assess that white has the advantage. Black has pushed the attack forward and tried for the win and has overextended itself in doing so. Black has lost both knights. Each side has an equal number of pawns. If I were white I would begin picking off the pawns of the black side to force the black make increasingly more desperate attempts to salvage the match.

I like Assange, but he needs to stop playing grabass and give us what we want.

Far from checkmate. But white wins if its whites turn.

Black is about to lose its queen?
That's what I see.
Let me know if I'm wrong though, I'm really the type to decode shit like this.

*not really
I think that's the message though.

Come again?

Capablanca vs. Marshall 1918

We are looking at Turn 24.

The next move is White Queen to F3.

It's a game by serious players for sure

The opening, I am pretty certain, was a Marshall Attack (pawn sac for black in the Ruy Lopez) .

I don't know whose turn it is to move. The computer doesn't see any immediate tactical knock-out blow, so with best play I would guess white can survive the attack and probably win with his extra material.

OK, it's the original game where Marshall sprang his gambit on Capa (having waited ten years) but Capa refuted it over the board.

It will help to know who we need to help win.

"The Arabic Baidaq (Foot-Soldier--P) came into Europe as the Foot-Soldier; L. pedes, pedo, pedinus,"

if its black move the queen is in no danger at all lol.

On first observation, it seemed White had a large advantage on pieces, but was in a bad position. On second look, black is doing well. I'd argue it's slightly in favor of black. I'm only ~1400 elo at chess. But I usually work off the points system as a guide:

queen 9
rook 5
knight 3
bishop 3
pawn 1

Black
rook 10
pawn 6
bishop 3
queen 9
28

White
rook 5
queen 9
bishop 6
knight 3
pawn 6
29

So, for instance, I'd avoid trading my two rooks for a queen as it would be a -1 trade (unless there was a tactical advantage it would provide). Given only a 1 point lead and having been opened up, I'd rather be the black team on this. Black is well positioned both defensively and opening up white and white may be forced to make a negative trade to open up black. It's close though.

Come on you fucking autists, somebody knows what this is.

Ya, Black Queen (HRC) is nuetralized, about to be captured.

oh shiii

well done

Nice catch.
The game ends with the Black queen still on board. Its a white victory though.

I think it really depends on who's move it is, however I would then question how the fuck white's piece got into such bad positions in the first place, as well as how black even got their pieces in those positions. It seems like a made up impossible scenario to me.

bump

That's what I thought at first, but can't the king just eat the queen? Been a while since I last played chess.

This seems most likely.

>king just eat the queen
>eat

faggot

...

Safe to say we've figured this out. Might want to make a pic of what it means. Spread get it into other threads.

white is first move. black retaliates. black king is on safer square at start of the game

Are you bitching because of the terminology?
Kill, eliminate, whatever, don't be such a pedant.

Go. Look. It's been figured out.

Frank Marshall (Black) was an american while José Raúl Capablanca (White) was cuban

Of course White wins, white always wins

Shoah is the proper term (gas is also acceptable)

Point is, no it's not a checkmate, or not in 1-2 turns.

You're right, but there's more to it than that. Check the cross thread.

damn... that's crazy...

How does white have an advantage?!
White does have a shit development of some major figures. The white bishop can't do shit and overall he is just a smidge ahead in material?
I don't see a good move for white.

Nah it's deceptive. Blacks positioning isn't as useful as it seems

yes, the king could easily take out the queen

The black has an advantage....

fify
The black has an advantage....

WE

Fucking funny a. Kek

I know, I was just having a laugh.

white wins if it blacks move
