No, well maybe, but the real problem is having them be attached to the rest of the cast for them to do stuff. If we wanted them to go do more cool stuff like when they were introduced, Crab would have to shoehorn in the MC or the Girls. Otherwise too many people would bitch and moan, again, about how they are taking away from the main cast.
MON does seem like a collection of characters that would do very well in their own spin-off. They are likable and good looking and are in a position to do cool things and meet more interesting types of other MonMusus than the Main Girls. It could even be a flavor of the month thing without becoming too dumb as, hypothetically, MONs encounters can be one time (new character jailed), or multiple reappearances (hostage rescued, becomes friends with/joins MON).
Hell, favorite new characters could even form a B-team as to not get in the way.

It has become overly censored. All the characters are cliches and boring so without the fanservice it just has no need to exist.

Should've just had the whole series to themselves with Smith. No harem needed.

I'd go for a spin-off

MON with the main Mon Musu cast as antagonists would be great. They can even have Lala as the main boss at the end. The only jobber would be Mero outside of fish kingdom.

I'd watch the hell out of a gritty Mon Squad series. There's some screwed up stuff going on in the background of Crab's world.

What volume should I pick up to start off where the anime ended? What did the anime do that the manga didn't and visa versa? Shit pisses me off because every volume is wrapped at B&N.

Anime only covers up to Ch.25 (partway through Vol.6). Aside from some minor changes, the anime skips over the Polt and Ren chapters (later adapting them as OADs and reducing Polt's role in the anime to mere cameos) and saves the 'Sick Darling' chapter until after Rachnera moves into the household.

When exactly did MM become so atrocious? The manga has been boring to read for a long time now. Once the gimmick of the girls being monsters wore off, you realized how absolutely nothing was going on in the story, characters weren't fleshed out and the shenanigan with the task force was just dumb. It's just become generic harem trash that doesn't even give you a confused boner anymore.

Its a silly ecchi slice of life. I guess it depends on your tolerance for the genre. One chapter per month of funny lighthearted stuff dont do any harm. Im just tired of this fucking arc.
