As a connoisseur of kemonomimi, one thing that really grinds my gears is the tails.

Artists always draw catgirls, doggirls, etc with the tails coming out of their lower back.

THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS

The tail is an extension of the spine. It does not split the backbone into two backbones. I understand it's easier to draw, but the tail should be coming out just slightly above the anus, but below the anal cleft. Stick your hand down the back of your pants and feel all the way down where your spine ends. It's pretty far down. This makes it annoying to draw the character's clothes taking into consideration the placement of the tail, pants would need holes and so would underwear and would also need strings to tie above the tail, but it is anatomically correct.

This would also make it hard for the character to use a normal sit-down toilet since the tail will be in the way and they would have to lean forward constantly.

This has been a public service announcement for anyone drawing animalgirls.

And wings don't grow from shoulderblades or heads but people draw them there anyway.
