That's not the entire reason at all. If you are familiar with both respective series then you should know why Eriri and Pig are very alike.

Both are flat blonde twintails tsundere who are also tsundere about their hobby that's related to otakuism. Both are pretty bro-ish too.

Eriri was never popular enough to inspire other characters. Pig also is drama-free and romance-free.

You can't be sure of that. Pig is surely the beginning and I don't doubt that there will be more in due time.

No real romance, but Pig is still tsundere for Hideki. Not exactly drama, but Pig and Hideki fight a lot, which is cute of course.

I say it beause Eriri isn't even the most popular girl in her series. Not even the second most popular girl of a series that isn't exactly groundreaking or extremely popular either. And dfc blonde twintail tsundere that's related to otaku things has been a thing for ages.

Popularity plays a certain factor, but it's not an absolutely thing. In the very least most popular isn't a requirement. Many authors copy or based on whatever they like.

Nagi predates both, but she's different. She's a loli for one and is open about being an otaku. She doesn't fight with Hayate either like Eriri and Pig do with their respective MCs.

Nagi is different yet similar. Just like Pig and Eriri are. You can't say Eriri and Pig don't follow the same mold as Nagi. Hayate is actually a series popular and heavy enough to start such a trend.

Eriri isn't even the first take from Saekano's author on that subset of tsundere.

The similarities begin and end with blonde otaku with twintails. The part of otaku is even different from Eriri and Pig in this case since Nagi isn't tsundere about it. Nagi is very childish whereas Eriri and Pig have a raijuu-like persona at school. They also act kinda bitchy to their respective MCs. Look at it this way, loli tsundere are dime a dozen, but only a few of them would be considered tsundeRies by proximity. Neither Eriri and Pig are close enough to follow Nagi's mold due to aforementioned reasons and what I said earlier.

Yes. Hayate is a popular series, but I would say Saekano's popularity isn't lacking. But again popularity isn't always the deciding factor be it parodying a series or basing off a certain character. I don't see what Saekano's author has to do with this when it's about other people basing off Eriri.

Fine, let's say Pig is based on Eriri, but without the drama, without the romantic feelings, without the childhood friend trope, without the European ancestry and without the genius talent as artist, okay. That's it, there's no other blonde twintail tsundere that could be called an Eriri clone. Considering Eriri is a Rea clone, it must be appropriate to give the credit to her instead.

You are making this overly complicated and are overlooking the main things that should matter most. None tsuneRies are 1:1, yet they are based on the first who started a general model regardless. So you should quit trying to make this into a 1:1 thing.

To comment you though, not all tsundere involves romantic feelings, but both are tsundere. Drama in this case is a plot thing decided by the genre than it is a personality trait, nonetheless Pig is not without conflict with Hideki. Both are half European and half Japanese. Pig isn't a childhood friend and an artist, but those differences are quite trivial qualities in the grand scheme of things. I have no idea who Rea is so your sarcasm is lost on me.
