I don't think so, most of Europe is socialist, not has much as Lenin was, but not even close of communism, the state simply has his hands on most of public services, which always favor the people if well managed, has it allows for private companies to grow and create competition.

I'm not saying socialism turns into stalinism but leninism does. Stalinism and leninism are both marxist and highly authoritarian (totalitarian in the case of Stalinism). Socialism is not necessarily marxist and western Europe wasn't and still isn't marxist-leninist.
