They have established almost nothing besides "a bunch of characters from stories came to life and now bad stuff will happen". It's being carried by its characters, not its plot. So let the characters have a chance to do something already. Those two minutes of Mamika and Alicetaria eating were more interesting than anything Meteora has done so far.

It was good except for the infodumping that took half the episode.

Mamika is very cute.

I really like this part of the episode, how respectful she was of the items of her creation. Imagine that simple game and accompanying guide not only being the origin of yourself but of everyone and everything you have ever known and your entire world.

To everyone else it would be a simple common item but to her it is a work more holy than any bible. You can tell how desperate she was for it to be something meaningful and after playing with it she found some sense of beauty in the story. It was the only way she could feel the love of her creator.

It's funny that while Meteora seemed to be the cool one and Selesia is the hotheaded one, Selesia doesn't give a much fuck about spoilers of her life well she might be faking it while Meteora's actually bothered by this creator/game/her world problem.

It's about to be, depends on where they go with this. They didn't go balls deep into action and lose the context and talked a lot of the meta of being extracted from stories. I think there's only one moment where what they discussed didn't make much sense to me but it seems like they are slowly gearing up towards their conflict. I guess you could make your judgement after seeing how they handle that.
