Why

why

old men die when they're really cold

>expecting an anime adapting an old french novel to not be full of suffering

Is this the one about a kid who's looking for his real mom?

Why do the Japanese like portraying suffering so much, but on the other hand have the most idealistic, idyllic shows?

>Why do the Japanese like portraying suffering so much
Classic anime
>the most idealistic, idyllic shows
Modern anime

Realism vs. Escapism

The sharp contrast makes me confused.
Their literature is like this too.(At least the few books I've read are really sad) Endless suffering.

Is girl Remi cuter than boy Remi?

Well this is one of the cutest anime character designs ever

If only she had a dick

>PTSD memories attack

>Be named Rémy
>"Lol Homeless Child Rémy" all day everyday at school all day everyday

Fuck this show

I'm sorry for you. (not)
I know this feeling too (not)

I suppose it's better than Gambit references

What bullshit

Because asians and europeans have a much more pragmatic, apathetic and nihilistic view on life compared to americans, which is mostly due to america being an relatively new continent and because It barely stood any hardship at all since its foundation, especially Canada and US, which are first world countries that never had any major war or plague on their own territory.

Where the fuck do you live that kids bully you over some obscure anime reference?

"Remi Sans Famille" is a cult show in France.

It's an adaptation of a classic French novel.
That's like asking why a US kid would know Tom Sawyer.

>implying that US kids read Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn
Good one. Not too long ago millenials were trying to get these two banned.

There is so much wrong with this I don't know where to start.

It's true though. No more than 100 years ago it was common to have many children in a family because more than half were expected to die.
My grandparents have both lost siblings while they were still young and where my grandfather lived it wasn't uncommon for kids to die in accidents, or to a bad cold.

The World Masterpiece Theater is just an endless goldmine of quality CGDCT and tearjerkery.

>Europe
We don't have idyllic things here.
Trust me.
