Fate/stay night

What are your hopes and expectations for the Heaven's Feel movie?

I hope they have the courage to follow the framework laid out in the Zero anime and not pussy out with the Realta Nua version of events. Bonus points if we get a Shirou monologue referencing educated prostitutes.

As long as I have pic related I'll be fine

>I hope they have the courage to follow the framework laid out in the Zero anime and not pussy out with the Realta Nua version of events.
You can bet that we will get mixture of both.

I hope they rewrite this asspull

Trigger off
>also
fuck you

I want to see Sakura's honkers

>framework laid out in the Zero anime

?

I hope they don't shy away from portraying the characteristic darkness of the route.

I want a desperate Shirou, a ruthless Rin, a mature Illya, frightening blackened servants and a batshit insane Sakura.
No moeshit and cute Saber anime original moments, no censorship besides the unavoidable fade to black in h-scenes, no food porn and comfy dates, no anti-seizure filters, no unnecesary fanservice, and no toned down violence.
If they're going to make it a movie series, they better not submit it to the same bullshit regulations TV anime suffers from.

Did you like their UBW adaption

More like their Zero adaptation, but it was still quite flawed. KnK still reigns as Ufo's best TM related work.

This would be good.

Get to see best boy animated.

Samesies
I watched the UBW anime before reading HF, and I still thought Nine Lives was horseshit

I doubt it will be half as good as the manga let alone the VN.

Manga is fucking great, better than the VN in some parts

>Hope and expectations

None. Muh Waifu > Ideal ooba ooba fucking trash wormslut

Isn't the manga only at the beginning?

I haven't been able to read any Fate manga because none of them are even vaguely close to complete. Zero isn't even scanned right.

Rider!

What's wrong with Zero or UBW?

Heaven's Feel manga is the only good Fate manga. Zero manga isn't bad, though

>Zero manga isn't bad
the only reason you should ever read it over the LN or the anime is the gore and wormrape if you're into that. Everything else is just worse on every level. Even the art is relatively shitty.

Not him, but Zero made some pretty huge fuckups towards the end, not to mention that ridiculous Rin filler.

>Kirei and Kiritsugu fighting in the batcave instead of a burning parking lot
>Saber vs Berserker being cut down to nearly nothing
>Sakura looking like she mocked Kariya and pushed him down the stairs instead of being traumatized by watching him die in front of her

castah!

HF manga is already way past Saber beating Rider it's just that nobody bothers to translate.

Makes me realize Fate isn't as popular as you might think.

>burning parking lot
It's not in a parking lot in the novel. It's essentially exactly where it takes place in the anime - a massive storage space for large theatre props, directly under the stage. In reality (and probably in Urobuchi's mind), it would be markedly smaller, but it'd be just as rectangular and just as empty.

>the art is relatively shitty
It's not even fully-scanned, much less passably-scanned. How can you determine the quality of the art from scans like this?

Raidah!

that would be great.

In Zero, Sakura is a future worm slut.
The worms are dick worms. Not blood worms.

>nobody bothers to translate
Is it that the raws aren't there, that there aren't good raws, or that there is simply nobody is willing to translate? I might be able to help if it's *just* no translator, but I can't do much about the raws.

Translator seems to be using tankoubon rather than the magazine which explains why it is slow.

Nobody said you had to read it over the book. It's not a bad adaption.

Nothing related to Type-Moon was translated quickly outside of edited subtitles.

My mind is hazy because I read Fate/zero in 2010 but I have to struggle to remember anything of consequence being left from anime. Everyone threw a shitfit in ep 24 when UNRIVALED's last words were skipped but they were just moved further down.

If anything they padded things like Rin's episode.

The only thing that I can remember being skipped is Ryuunosuke being impressed by Gille's human skin covered book, saying he tried to make a lamp once and failed. When Giles is stalking Seiba Uryuu makes a pipe organ out of a girl's intestines but Giles gets mad at Saber and crushes her.

What a cute witch.

>Fight against Gilgamesh is completely fucking retarded, its no longer Shirou desperately closing the gap between them to leverage Gilgamesh's lacking swordsmanship skills to press his one weak spot while using UBW for covering fire, but is instead Shirou dodging, blocking, and spinning his way through the now far-superior GoB by the skin of his teeth for three minutes before ending the battle in a single exchange - it makes no sense for him to be so strong
>plot-points/reveals/twists of UBW lose their impact for any show-watchers and the lacking compensation made for them (such as the added Caster/Ilya scenes) doesn't do enough to fix this. In particular, Caster's master scenes really did nothing to add anything to her backstory or make one more sympathetic to the character - it'd have been far better to focus on her past as a princess, how Jason spurned her, and her fall to witchcraft if Ufotable was looking to add context for her actions and motives
>while fucking hilarious the powerboost Rin and Luvia got in their wrestling match at the end contradicts canon and makes it seem absurd that Rin was such a non-factor in any fight besides the one with Caster
>while quite pretty and fluid most of the fights lack any real sense of 'weight' besides a few instances of Lancer jumping and leaving a crater and Berserker fucking up shit passively by merely running - beyond those, however, the majority of the Servant's didn't seem nearly as powerful as they actually are and the choreography gave no sense of them possessing any notable degree of skill or experience, merely super speed and the ability to pull of some rather unbelievable contortioning
>In some parts it slows to a crawl with 30 minute dialogues and expositions scenes and barely anything happening, in other parts important events and character development is breezed through with no attention paid to them. Whole Shirou-Rin arc is basically nonexistent for example.

very

CASTAH!

They changed or left out a lot of the thought processes in Kiritsugu vs Kirei, I guess.

There's a considerable bit which doesn't quite line up in that fight, when Kiritsugu thinks to himself that he's at a disadvantage at close range then launches himself at Kirei. He does that because Kirei can still partially use his right arm, and the last attack on it completely breaks it. Then, he goes to Kirei's left - instead of backing off, or whatever - because Kirei is supposed to be completely blind in his left eye because of the blood. In the anime, it just looks like Kiritsugu has no idea what he's doing.

Oh, and they also left out *why* Kiritsugu fucked with Maiya. That was fairly important. There's probably a number of other 'motivation'-type things which they left out that I don't remember.

Zero was SO good.

I can understand why the diehards think it's a watered down version of the game but I think it stands up strong on it's own.

Also, Rider is best king.

I wonder how they'll treat the flashback to Shirou's last moment with his parents.

...

I don't even gonna watch this. Why should i why there is perfect VN. And also with my once and future waifu.

That's a BIG jpg.

Also, Saber a shit; she was a failure king so they made her an OP servant.

I loved the jogging, though. But I have a specific question which I've never had answered or even addressed, with massive questioning force driving it:

Why the fuck did they not show Kirei kicking the tree? It almost freaked me out the first time I watched it, because I felt like there was something being cut from the version I was watching. It's just BANG Kirei wriggling around BANG s-sonna! BANG and then the tree is on the ground. What the fuck happened there? Did they not budget for it in the first season, or what? Is there any real, known answer to this?

I think he humped the tree to death.

That would have just looked stupid.

Or sexy.

Both?

Why did Iri/Maiya just look at him instead of killing him?

>Women not going for the killing blow.

And that's why they don't serve on the front lines.

Lots of bitching crying. Its going to be shit

Alright, I just checked, and this is (I guess) the answer:

>Irisviel could not have known this: the strength of a martial arts master was not produced at the wrist. The strength of the feet on the ground, the turning of the back, and the twisting of shoulders—with these, it was possible to instantaneously release a burst of power in the fists. To an expert, the strength of the arm was insignificant compared to the power of the whole body. One can press the fist next to the target and strike solely with a force external to the arm—this was the hidden technique of explosive force.

So he wasn't even using his legs. He was just nonsense-ing physical power into his hands. The anime has him pull his right leg back, which makes it look like he's going to kick the tree. Dunno why.

How do I into this franchise

Play the VN?
If you're lazy just watch ufotable.

Fate VN

There's a lot of better franchises though

I just want more Illya
and it to not be complete shit like UBW

Fate/stay night, Fate/hollow ataraxia and Fate/Zero. Fate/complete material if you want extra information

Play F/GO when it's released in English, it's rendered all the other parts of the franchise irrelevant.

pain lots an lots of pain

...

...

>Triple Accel

Hhhnnnggg!

>We will never get to see the look on Kerry's face when he walks in on Saber blowing SHirou

Bottom panel.

Redpill me on this guy
Why does he hate and ignore saber

There's 1 guy translating 3rei and he's from Beast Lair. Fate really isn't popular in the west

Because Saber's a dumb cunt.

Holy fuck cowtits

What about official translations?

There's an official Fate/Zero manga from Dark Horse I believe, and that's about it for published Fate works.

Don't exist.

Fate/Complete Material too

No, there isn't. Fate/Zero is 14 volumes. Dark Horse has, as of now, released four. The fifth is out in a little under 2 months.

It doesn't really help that the original, most popular work is legally unattainable in English. Someone really should've sorted out a deal years ago with Mirror Moon to acquire their work, clean it up, and release Realta Nua as an officially licensed translation. It's been on more than enough platforms.

Do you own them? What do you think of it? Might they localize the FSNHF manga in future?

If it helps, someone will probably patch the PSV releases of FSN + FHA with English text before a company decides to translate them officially.

No, I don't. I went to go buy them to scan them when you said they existed. I'd have to find a physical edition being sold somewhere to check the quality, and I really doubt any comic stores carry it.

There's something about Nasu not wanting to localize his work though. FGO is getting one because >aniplex, but rumors has it that Nasu blocked the release of CCC.

With Fate being that big of a franchise, its surprising that no one has tried to localize it in the last 10 years

It gets cancelled and everybody just forgets about the series completely.

Underrated post

...

Their ideals and tactics are about as opposite as you can get. Kerry probably would have been a lot happier with a Assassin servant.

He hates being reminded of heroes and ideals that aren't super grimdark

King Dude is so stocky for a non berserker servant it's jarring.

>King Arthur
>Let there kingdom be destroyed for revenge against Lancelot and then against Mordred
>Literally drowned a bunch of children to kill the child who would lead the down fall of their kingdom (Mordred) (and they failed).
>Instead of just giving Excalibur to their last surviving knight and telling them to rebuild Britain with all that remains, toss it in a river/become a monk/ and let me go to Avalon.
>King Arthur is a Hero.

Heroes are not Heroes. The Throne should be called the Throne of Legendary People.

Im so glad I'm not this autistic so I can enjoy the things I watch.

>Summoning kings.
Don't do it unless it's Papa Bones.

'Hero' is a nebulous concept, so it has nebulous requirements. I think it's even said in Fate route - something about "hero once just meant anyone who'd slayed monsters or ruled, not necessarily a good person". That's an extremely skewed paraphrasing, but the point is retained. It's why you end up with Hercules and Gilgamesh, instead of Firefighter Who Died Saving People Last Week.

Less Sakura. More Kirei and best girl Illya.

Their ideals are pretty much the same.

>kill anyone who stands in the way
>don't kill anyone, even if they stand in the way

>a world with everyone who would do no wrong
>a world with everyone
Not really. At all.

Anons, what the fuck happened on Sparks Liner High ending? Why isn't a bad ending and just an end?

And overall, what the fuck?

Shirou and Saber wavelengths match cause they have the same ideals, which is the one he inherited from Kerry.

Kiritsugu suffers because he can't live up to his ideals.

Ah, dear. I misread what was being said - I was comparing Shirou to Kiritsugu, not Saber to Kiritsugu.

Its the Heaven's Feel "Saber" end. Shirou is forced to fight Saber 1v1 to let Rin try and get to Sakura, because he failed to answer Rider's question and couldn't get her as an ally.

Its just an END, because it is manly as hell resolves Saber's plotline in Heaven's Feel.

ozzy isnt bad if you have the mana, Gilgamesh isnt bad if you are interesting

>What are your hopes and expectations for the Heaven's Feel movie?
I honestly don't know how they're going to animate Nine Lives Blade Works, but I'm curious to see it and I hope it's cool.

I want them to take a dual protagonist approach with Sakura and Shirou and give special focus to their relationship besides just mentioning it through flashbacks.

I want plenty of (possibly original) scenes displaying Sakura's charm as well as how naturally erotic she is. Also bare titties.

I want scenes of Illya and Sakura having friendly interactions. In the Fate route it's mentioned they become extremely close but I actually want to see some of that dynamic or possible dynamic before everything goes to shit.

I want Rider to be a character.

Dark Sakura outfit looking less neat and more monstrous would be great.

On that note, I want to be properly dark.

I want them to go all out in the action scenes. None of that fighting for 10 seconds and talking for two minutes shit they started pulling in the second half of UBW.

Most importantly I want a revamped epilogue. Hell, just rewrite it everything past Illya dying because that random two year timeskip feels like an asspull.

Ko-Gil seems like an instant win.
