I actually agree with him. Unlike European nations where there is a very clear ethnic tie to the land, America is very much a land for all people. Both countries in North America, so Canada too, are open to all people of all ethnicities or races or whatever. The catch is, since America is an idea and being a north american is living up to the ideals of our countries, you have to conform to american culture.
