Dearest Sup Forums, I have been invested in you for many many months, and have constantly seen the impression that this site is essentially the opposite of Tumblr.
> Sup Forums is mostly right-far right.
> Filled with smart people, and a whole bunch of assholes.
>Absolute bastion of free speech.
>Populated by trollers, kekistanians, and depressed people.
>Tumblr is mostly left-far left
>Filled with ignorant people, and a whole bunch of mediocre soyboys.
>Free speech is ridiculed/shut down if it disagrees with the common opinion.
>populated by feminists, SJWs and landwhales.
So I decided to do something I thought I'd never do, I went to tumblr to check out what this place was like, and I noticed something.
After 2 weeks only using this site, I discovered something rather compelling.
These sites are essentially, both the same.
HEAR ME OUT!!!
They have multiple message boards that allow normal-ass people to talk about art, society, videogames, culture, etc.
And yet, these sites are represented by just a handful of boards;
Sup Forums is represented by Sup Forums and Sup Forums in the common eye, cesspits of horrid content, the darkest of memes, and occasionally some normal conversation. Most of the other boards are filled with generally normal people (Sup Forums,/vg/,Sup Forums,/x/,etc.)
Keyword being generally, there are still some Sup Forumsers and Sup Forumsers that slink into them.
Meanwhile, Tumblr is represented mostly by the Feminism and Politics Tags, which are filled with the triggered, cancerous, ignorant kind of people you often find in SJW rallies. However, most of the other tags (art, travelling, celebreties, etc.) are filled with normal people.
I dunno, perhaps this is all foolish and shitty, but I genuinely think that these sites are very similar.
Sites filled with slightly opposing people who discuss art, culture and games, represented by the few awful, retarted, autistic, cesspit boards/tags that represent them in the public eye.
Do let me know your thoughts on this revelation.
