Also why is the soundtrack so underrated?

It was kinda popular in Mexico, that based Mexican dub, i mis Zaz ; _ ;
Anime was pretty fun, manga was even better until it went to shit and ended unceremoniously.
Shigure best girl.
it was my favorite anime when I was 15
Because the anime was short and the ending to the manga sucked.
The brown girl with the staff might have been my favorite.
Far too much fanservice
few years ago I tried it and I just couldn't tough it out and marathon it started pretty boring to me but I could manage it now.
It gets really good around episode 20
It's badly animated. And the manga is better.
Wait, Mexican dub? ¿Porque no se me había informado?
It's top tier
50 episodes is short?
Because it was shit that plodded on for too long. Should've gotten to the fucking point.
iirc didn't it end only at the point where they took down ragnarok, before even getting to yomi? so basically it never even got to the whole premise of the series.
where was this transmitted? and when?
no me digas que fue animax
...
There was a channel known as ZaZ (TV de paga), it got kill but it has some anime like Kenichi and Inazuma Eleven
con razon jamas tuvimos ZaZ aca en el norte almenos no mi cable local
but what is the year that are we talking about here? 2008-2010?
It needs OVAs with all the masters' fights and kenichi destroying ace disciples.
No idea, but i watched it around 2010, apparently got kill in 2012
They got an ova series as well. Think it was only 5 or so episodes, but the animation was done much better and they progressed the plot farther. I'm mad they never got to the tournament. Best fight was the Elder vs Apachai fight/back story, and Kenichi vs. The Egyptian king who used Penkak Silat.

Elder vs. Apachai
Also the boris fight was great
youtu.be
how many episodes were adapted before kill
50 episodes
>manga ran for years
>room for kenichi and shigure lewd shenanigans countless times
>barely any in the whole series
>wrap it up by showing her naked for a bunch of chapters
INTO THE TRASH
They stopped right after the fight with Jihan Tidat. They introduced Sparna around episode 6 of the ova. It was getting good because they were finally getting to Master Class fights, and then they killed it because of too many Shonen out at the time or something. They even had the best opening/ending for the series that made you invested.

Manga was kind of just running its course by the end so I think noone will blame you for erasing the worst parts and bringing in your headcanon. I mean, wasn't the main bad guy some random nobody who pretended to be Miu's father and got defeated by Miu's REAL father?
The last thing that got me thrilled was Kensei's fight with that "I WAS JUST PRETENDING TO BE A FAMILY MAN", that thing was fucked up and pretty cool.
The author even brought back Berserker and had him fight Kenichi. Who spent their whole fight getting distracted and looking at Miu's fanservice fight with that goth Lolita girl. Poor Berserker.
I always liked berserker even from earlier on
>getting punched
>dodges left
"nah nevermind, I'll dodge right"
>quickly changes over while still mid-punch
"what!?"
"it sets up my counter better"
>btfo's the other guy
I really enjoyed the fight with Akira Hondo vs. Silcardo Jenazad.
Yeah, Sunglasses Elf killing that evil fruit eater was cool. The final arc on the other hand just brought a bunch of Yami Weapon Masters to get bullied or molested if they were women. Poor weapon masters.
>be weapon master
>be almost all female group
>constantly btfo by unarmed masters
>btfo by unarmed children
>btfo by old men
>What is a master
>truly this is suffering.
They were mostly male but you are otherwise pretty spot-on.
From Apachai vs his senpai arc which had cool fights for Kenichi and Apaman:
>hahaha, hello Ryozanpaku Jiu-Jitsu man, I am Spearman
>well, hello, Spearman, let's fight for a bit when noone is getting any damage, now here I am using a technique that will fuck you up 100%
>haha, little did you know that we weapon masters devised a counter-technique for this technique!
>pretty good, too bad you were not ready for my counter-counter-technique
>Oh no! (gets defeated)
reminder that the publisher is uploading one chapter per day here.
sunday-webry.com
Each chapter stays online for two days.
The quality isn't the best, but it's still better than some of the stuff that was used by the scanlation teams.
It's been a while, but for some reason I just remember Chinaman running around disarming chicks and using their clothes to restrain them, and maybe taking pictures of their tiddies.
Missed Potential
Anime being left behind
Not giving a good impression
There's your answer.
Shame because back in 2011 we got some OVAS that i think just skipped some parts of the manga, while the latter was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of it.
Some animes just dont sthick regardless of their source material, like Hare+Guu which was loosely based on the manga, and the 3rd series was even called "Finale" despite actually taking place in the middle of the manga when they decided to being more close to its adaptation.
Some animes just don't Sthick!
It was a bad hajime no ippo
I've heard the name mentioned a lot but due to a full backlog Icouldn't ever watch it. Is it just a shonen version of Aiki?
Yeah, there were girls like some psycho from the Apachai arc, that archer girl with nice muscles and some big chick in armor from the last arc. But there were plenty more of male weapon masters with not necessarily good or memorable designs and personalities.
this manga is complete and utter bullshit, the girl was just there as bait, its like the author wanted to make an Ikkitousen clone but was forced to put male characters in it, also most of the training the Mc had to do, we are just supposed to assume the girl had to do the same, but it gives teh vibe that she didn't because we never saw it, it gives the mary sue vibe all over again because she is a girl.
Fuck even Ikkitousen got rid of the main male characters during its second series and by that point they admitted they just wanted to do hot women and nothing else.
The only real similarities are that both are about "martial arts" and tits. And even then, Aiki and the sequel get easier on fanservice while Kenichi gets more ridiculous with it.
I am pretty sure that chapter 51 is like the first instance with naked tits in Aiki-S.
I liked where the anime left off. I didn't really care much for the manga after.
I stopped reading the manga around the time when miu got kidnapped and was getting brainwashed, how much longer after that did it continue? did it get better or worse before the abrupt ending?
It went on for about another 15 volumes. The final fight in that arc was great (see ). It got better again after that, but the final arc was kinda meh.
...
11 ova episodes
Kenichifags are pedos and will literally defend this as good.
>but the final arc was kinda meh.
I mean, as just another arc it's solid with some good progression for Kenichi at the end, but it's pitiful for a finale.
Are sure it's Mexican? I thought it was from some other spic country, because in mexican dubs you can always recognize the same people.
Really? in what year did this aired?
Because I wasn't even aware it got dubbed not have I ever hear someone talking about it previously.
Yeah, it's Mexican
es.doblaje.wikia.com
Also there are some well known actors such as Irwin Daayán and Gabriel Gama.
It was popular, especially during mid 00. But like many things from back then everyone forgot about it.
I would say it was funny but it didn't aged that good. And other martials art shows overshadowed Kenichi.
Its was good Kenichi had the best lolis.
The mexican dub was godly.
I don't know, maybe because it's shit ?
Zaz was a heaping pile of shit, though. Animax was the patrician weebshit channel.
Fine piece of ass. Shame she has little to no doujins.
It had a shit ending, we never even got to see adult Kenichi, or how strong he became. Like I wanted to see adult Kenichi fight someone, all we got was the whole "I become the strongest disciple, fucked Miu 1,000,000 times and had children. Now I live a happy life."
Garbage ending, but the manga was great, I enjoyed reading it. Also all the fanservice was just a plus, it was like borderline hentai sometimes.
I'll never understand why the author left us with such a shit ending
who was dis guy
I haven't seen/read this series in ages. Remind me what the ending was again and why it was so bad?
>Remind me what the ending was again and why it was so bad?
Basically Yami Judo master girl wanted to fire a missle to start WWIII because martial arts can't be used effectively in a world of peace. One Shadow Fist was actually some nobody who disguised himself as Miu's father. Basically to let Miu's father off the hook.
Ryouzan masters go to confront Yami weapon and Non-weapon masters. After a while a few Non-weapon masters defect to Ryouzan's side.
One Shadow Fist, dies from the thermal heat from the missile which is then destroyed by super old man. Judo master then flees but not before being stripped by Chinese pervert.
Kenichi also beats eyepatch disciple.
Shigure's brother, he was a bad guy or some shit. I can't really remember, he was one of the executioners.
Got to blame that damned executive that just killed all the ongoing series in the magazine, cant really give a good end without the time to actually set it up, its obvious manga hadnt reached climax yet but was forced to just end
Some retard editor decided to axe every ongoing series in the magazine at that point and start publishing 50 new series to conmemorate the 50th anniversary of the mag.
It was one of the first mangas I really got into back in the day. It's a shame how it ended but it started to drag really bad towards the end.
Still, it had some great moments and the best girls bar none. Main girls, side girls, one-offs,all of them were great.
...
Shigure's "brother" was the samurai armor guy.
Scythe guy has nothing to do with Shigure, except that she one-shots him at the end.
my first anime
because like alot of anime based off manga it stopped when it was just getting good and just became a bunch of ovas that nobody watched
I would love to see the DoD tournament animated, but that's never going to happen.
...
...
...
We all know why we read it for that long.
It end so abruptly.
>some actual development between an mc and girl
>right after
>AMNESIA PUNCH
jesus christ
The plot went full retard after a while. You could tell the author was forced to rush to an ending.
At the very least MC ended up fucking and impregnating Miu.
Some editor-kun was apparently killing half the running series in the magazine at the time. But, lets be honest, Kenichi WAS pretty damn bad by that point and axing it could've been justifiable. But still it meant losing Shigure-sensei and Freya and all the rest of the kenichi girls GODDAMMIT
This. Even for old anime I felt the production value was very low, like Chinese-tier.
Kenichi started to go downhill when the author didn't kill Apachi off in his fight to the death with his Senpai.
On the one hand the event would have had more impact if Apachai had died, but on the other hand I'm glad that he's still around.
