Doesn't have to be huge and magnificent either. Just the proof of people's hard work
>a building
wow, so meaningful
A swede. I get it now.

this looks so chool remember learning about magna charta in high school
reposting, but the last thread died so quickly.
look at the simplicity. You can clearly make out the size and shape of blocks and the manner in which they are arranged.
>simplicity
this
the architect probably had a pretty good taste still looks /fa/ today
Sweden proving OP's point right on cue.
file was too large sry
check out the blocks that make up the pillars.
4 stacked columns
It's still porn though.
wow where are these pictures from, do you have any more? I had a class in high school with an insane teacher who was teaching all kinds of stuff about these pillars and designs but I was an edgy teen not paying attention on class because class bandwagon so I missed out
Do composers count?
I just find them. Helps if you know what you're looking for by name.
I didn't learn anything from a teacher, but I can study the ruins and see the size and shape of the blocks. It's like history is your teacher.
...
observe the way the columns fell
of course they do.
do link their works so I can listen to them while studying
truly astonishing I'm not even kidding, it is so ancient yet still comfy in 2018
Make no mistake about it, this is high level work.
...
why can't this be re-created today?
(because Christianity offends Muslim immigrants)
Let's not be negative here, probably because people aren't that interested in architecture and giant buildings anymore since game of thrones is on HBO go and it has a fucking big ass wall
wait that's still negative why am i like this
>base of the shaft on those columns divided in 4 parts
really makes me think
Weren't those built recently? Or were they restaurated?
The answer is negative. You won't reach it by refusing negativity.
I think it has more to do with the obsession with doing everything cheaper.
Nobody cares about quality anymore, they claim they do, but when offered the choice between quality and cheap, they chose cheap every time and ignorantly wonder why their shit doesn't last.
Maybe. I'm still hoping that this answer also has something to do with it . It is bad just not as bad as if it were because of ideological reasons. Probably a mix of the two though.
I wish this Pro-EU, socialist shill group would leave they've been here for months

Lake Bled, Slovenia
My ancestors did this :)
Jesus fuck makes my heart warm might aswell pay a visit there sometime
Is that a illuminati triangle?
something like this?
A small Calvinist community started building their church in the late 30s. WWII happened so the construction had to stop, they gave the building materials to the capital to repair bombed buildings. The small church got a temporary roof, finishing the building was forbidden during communism, so things stayed the same for 50 years. With donations and community community help, they are going to finish their church after 70 years, using the original plans.
I think their dedication is impressive.
...
Churches buying wage slave minorities to build their churches isn't a good thing.
back to Other 99% facebook page please.
Yes I really like it especially how it shows never ending will and resolve.

There is some but not a lot. I would recommend listening to Bach, Mozart, Holst, or Shostakovich. All of them are great composers
