The story construction is a total tonal mess. They really should've put the Green Team episodes earlier in the show. KLK did it right: even if a lot of the side-characters were later treated like jobbers, putting their episodes early made them feel like actually part of the cast. Putting the Green Team episodes this late feels like when mediocre shounen manga gives an underdeveloped character that's just about to die focus and a flashback.

I wish we could have all these character episodes without involving Akko fucking up each time. It makes the episodes too formularic and I hate it when series shove a character down our throats, especially since Akko doesn't even get any development or anything that would warrant all that screentime.
They won't do more than what the Elite Four or Mako did in KLK's final arc.
Looks like opinions are highly divisive on the next episode, probably the most flavored i've seen so far, quite interesting.

Some people are just tired the past 3 episodes felt like a forced side-quest. It pretty much halted the foreshadowing chart progress completely.

I actually loved last week's episode, I am just tired of that 'Akko is cheating and coincidentally helping everyone else with her actions'-scheme that's been done to death in this series. Was there any episode that wasn't constructed like this?

She hasn't done anything like that since then.
Episode 16 halted the cour 2 hype. The only thing that can restore it now is episode 19.

Unless they somehow force Akko in the flashback i dont see it happening.
I don't understand why Ursula isn't warning Akko. She realized Croix is dangerous and confronted her in that earlier episode, but she still hasn't told Akko anything, despite her already being abducted by Croix. She just watches how Akko keep trusting her without doing anything until it's too late.

Akko and Diana fall into Arcturus Forest in episode 19's ending and get shown Croix and Chariot's past in visions in 20. Or maybe they show Chariot and Croix's past in flashes while Akko and Diana become friends/partners/nakama/whatever. You lack imagination. The Akko/Diana Chariot/Croix thing pretty much means we're getting the flashback.

The Diana thing involves the word "tradition" but I think Chariot's backstory will be tied to the word "gratitude."
