Alright, good, new thread. Been waiting for it because I bring important enough news I just stumbled upon. Not KF related, but Tesabu related so it fits in here nevertheless. In any case, turns out nyaa's death out of nowhere was a blessing in disguise when it comes to Tesabu. To those of you that might not know, the CR rips for the first two seasons have been hidden by the original uploaderfag for months now and no one could access them via anything but magnets, which I've thrown around these threads a few times, but that was about it. Well it turns out the alpha version of the new nyaa unlocked all of them and then some. Even the silly attempt I had an user help me with that involved creating a torrent with torrent files of those two hidden ones is up. So if anyone wanted the CR rips for Tesabu, now's the perfect time to get them. They're the ones named "Tesagure! Season 1/2 Eng Sub [720p]".

Season 3 was released as it aired, therefore horribleshit also released it. Can find that one on their site directly, but on the new nyaa as well.

Yoshizaki designed some Yokai Friends like Man faced fish, Kamaitachi, nine tailed fox, Orochi, and a couple of legendary tanuki. There were also some standard animal Friends referencing myths and legends, but the anime played down all that.

Tsuchinoko although getting half of an episode, had no references to her lore. Gold Monkey had a design entirely patterned on the supposed connection between Sun Wukong and blue faced gold monkeys, and yet the anime itself acknowledged nothing related to that, aside from keeping the design. It kind of seems like Tatsuki attempted to keep things very grounded, without throwing more strange elements into it aside from the Sandstar itself.

Japari seems to be a weird area with all sorts of species that might not normally be there popping up. Old serval thought Mirai was an alien because she came from the sky, so we know servals are native there at least.
