Date a live is pretty good, but not much ecchi really. Takes a while to build the harem as well.

To love ru has really really good ecchi in seasons 2 and 3. Harem builds slowly as well.

The only "good" harem anime are the ones where the MC never really questions too much which girl he's going to be with and the others become supporting characters rather than serious contenders. Series likework because they didn't try to give every girl equal screentime to keep the audience guessing for eternity.

The heroines, setting, cliches, and story don't even matter. The anime transcends all of that. The fact is that it sold a lot of BDs, the events were popular, and people hyped it up online so getting a second season was obvious.

It's not enough yet though, it should get 3, 4, no 5+ seasons. Ideally continuing forever. The appeal should be obvious to anyone with eyes.

Konosuba is more focussed on the comedy though. It has harem aspects but its not really a harem anime. Besides, later in the plot when the romance actually starts getting serious its not between kazuma and the three girls.
