Considering I unironically own a figure of Taiga and it's considered my favorite anime for purely personal reasons, yes it's good. Would I recommend it? If you're able to relate to the highschool drama at all it's pretty great. If not, there's better shit out there if you're looking for romance.

Side note: Romance anime is only good if it resonates enough with you to make you feel something. If the characters aren't relatable to you you're gonna think it's shit. Not that something can't be objectively good while being a romance anime, but... Why watch something you don't like, right?

Ehhhhh, I watched it when I had just gotten out of highschool. You're going to think Taiga is obnoxious unless you have a ton of patience to get to the parts where she begins to grow as a character. Ryuji definitely, He's a good male MC.

Yes, absolutely. There are some parts that drag, but the core of the show isn't about 'high school'. I didn't notice until I rewatched it, but many of the scenes are really pretty layered in what they convey about the characters. It also helps if you are a patrician and appreciate good tsundere.
