>Bakaupdates died >BakaTsukidestroyed by DMCA >half of the galleries on sadpanda purged >Desuarchive perished >fansubbers/translators dying >BakaBT gone private >AB leaked its users' info >Nyaa/Sukebei died without a warning
Sup Forums is the most extremist board on the site regarding its secrets yet all these bad things keep happening to it. What gives? And why is Sup Forums saving Nyaa instead?
Jonathan Moore
>half of the galleries on sadpanda purged Good.
Thomas Hughes
Sup Forums cannot keep secrets. Sup Forums cannot into opsec. Sup Forums cannot into archiving.
Zachary Smith
>Bakaupdates died it did?
Bentley Torres
>>Desuarchive perished What? You mean desustorage? Desuarchive is one of the current/newer ones, it's not dead.
Eli Reyes
You forgot MangaTraders, though that was solved.
Jacob Russell
>>Bakaupdates died Made me check Fuck you
Robert Green
>>Bakaupdates died >it did? Mangaupdates != Bakaupdates
Jose Reyes
Your goddess is next, Sup Forums.
William Parker
They removed all group links, remember? It's fucking useless now.
Easton Ramirez
When is Sup Forums finally going to die?
Lucas Rodriguez
>>Desuarchive perished Like Green-Oval, Foolz, archive.moe and a number of other archives, shit happens all the time.
Connor Morales
You can take my anime and my hentai but you'll never take my manga and my shitty LNs.
Kevin Reyes
>bakawhocares >loli will never be removed from sadpanda >3 (three) archives up >more shows get simulcasted each season >private memetrackers >nyaa backup within a day Every board, Sup Forums included, has an Sup Forums embassy. That's why Sup Forums (Sup Forums) saved Sup Forums
Josiah Jackson
Hopefully soon.
Luis Ortiz
I just want it all to be
Noah Reyes
DAIZ CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
Bentley Hernandez
Goddess probably has 50 mirrors and backups.
Isaac Gonzalez
Can you really call this living?
Cooper Brown
Stop trying to summon him. Next you'll start complaining about that F-site.
Nathaniel Baker
It will not die, it will slowly wither and become a shell of its former self. Like it has already happened to many boards.
Christian Reyes
Most of these are unrelated and are good things
Ayden Bennett
>open thread >two different tripfaggots spewing shit Yep Sup Forums is cursed.
Landon Rogers
>Desuarchive perished
Eli Reyes
>Bakaupdates died
Fuck you. You made me check.
Luis Cox
Fakku rips when?
Owen Johnson
Sup Forums is it's own worst enemy
Aaron Reed
Learning nihongo to move over to 2chan desu
Ayden Ramirez
>it's It's its, moron.
Matthew Perry
But that's a downgrade.
Josiah Russell
Love me BakaUpdates. Especially the tag cloud and advanced search. Hope it never dies.
Oliver Kelly
The actual bakaupdates. Not the mangupdates
Brandon Peterson
That site is easy to pull shit from. Their security is abysmal.
Aaron Ross
BakaTsuki is dead?
Cameron Sullivan
I suppose you still need a paid account?
Oliver Barnes
You don't, it's a pretty basic flaw. The scariest part about this flaw is it has been there for a while now and yet they continue to accept people money. It's pretty obvious the whole service was copy/pasted from the internet.
Aaron Rodriguez
If there's a curse it should be because of all the stupid names constantly used for these sites
bakapantsunyaaimoutodesupomf.moe.uguu
Yes we get it already, you're "hip" and "with it"
Ayden Barnes
>what are userscripts
Samuel Ross
What should I look for?
Ayden Powell
I don't want to put it up here since I get free shit from it. Most scan tools will pick it up.
Leo Morgan
but when boards "die" and get slow, they revive eventually
it happened to many boards
Thomas Cook
>nyaa backup within a day literally a sqlite frontend
Zachary Martin
>Nyaa died
Well, I haven't even been able to use it anyway for the past fucking year. I guess I'm just a streamfag all year now.
Jaxson Allen
Everything about Sup Forums is horrible
Charles Parker
time to get a new hobby boys
Eli Taylor
But how else are they supposed to let people know they have manga and anime and are cool with memes?
Samuel Cook
I would call it anibazaar.com
John Brooks
Wouldn't a frontend normally include ways to alter the database too?
Jordan White
cuz Sup Forums is talentless and Sup Forums is pragmatic
Owen Cook
How would you into opsec with any community that is over 100 people?
Colton Ortiz
Their web viewer is safe from idiots. They dice up the images and piece them back together with JS.
Am I too stupid for this?
Robert Kelly
for better or worse, Sup Forums has breathed new life into the website
Joseph Baker
Definitely for worse.
Christopher Walker
>Is Sup Forums cursed?
you tell me
Andrew Richardson
For worse for sure. /bant/ is already a mistake.
Asher Ross
It's a more fundamental flaw, you can directly access the places the originals are stored. It's a pretty trivial flaw to exploit. I'm not going to say more as why pay for porn.
Gavin Barnes
>They removed all group links, remember? It's fucking useless now. I manage just fine. This is mainly about notification after all.
Adrian Morales
time to realize that all your sekrit klub sites weren't actually any better than the more commonly-used ones, huh.
Gabriel James
He meant Desustorage.
Dylan Ramirez
I can't find it. No uncensored shit for me.
Luke Perez
That was a smart move. It's not in danger like virtually everything else is these days. The links were convenient but ultimately unnecessary, the primary function was always to be a handy way to organise and track what you're reading.
Eli Carter
>When is Sup Forums finally going to die? >again Who knows, I imagine we're overdue for another death though.
Wyatt Lewis
Just checked, nyaa is still dead. What do you guys use instead of that?
Asher Parker
Don't bring bad luck user, if Sup Forums dies how the fuck will i know which torrent becomes the dominant one?
Of all the things we've taken for granted these years Sup Forums and Sup Forums are the biggest ones by far.
Luke Cox
>anime i want to watch is on animebytes but isn't on freeleech >all the public torrents from tokyotosho are fucking dead end this suffering
>removed group links ehh, as long as you know which group did what chapter, you can find it with enough googling
Caleb Perry
bakuman the first season at least only has freeleech on raws
Kevin Murphy
they already said they had no plans of having a tracker, so never it's literally just a mirror to the magnet links up until may 1st, be grateful for that at least
Charles Johnson
Just fucking download it and then seed it for as long as you can. You won't get banned from low ratio. Read the FAQ/rules; they're there for a reason.
Ayden James
Where did everyone get their animebytes invites?
Samuel Lee
I'm grateful for that yeah, it just bugs me a little. Must've missed the no tracker thing. My bad. Shana will have to do for now
Ryan Ramirez
bakabt's also down for good >it's just maintenance bro it's been 4 days now that it's been down, it's going to end up being dead
Adam Cox
Bakuman is shit, especially the anime. Dropped it half ways.
Christopher Davis
>onemanga died
After all these years it still hurts
Elijah Walker
I did an invite trade (I wanted AB they wanted Jpopsuki) on here 3 years ago.
Daniel Hill
>BakaTsukidestroyed by DMCA >tfw your LN dodged a bullet and is still getting translated
Joshua Torres
Do people seriously not believe me?
Henry Reyes
No, they just had to take down some of the translated licensed stuff.
Dominic Hernandez
Time to get a crunchyroll account goy.
Jack King
I want to believe, but I can't
Nathan Gray
I've always found the process of using MAL to approve someone stupid. There are some of us who don't use it in favor of older methods. I for example archive every show I like. My current NAS has ~10TB of the 12TB of storage filled. I'm currently working on building an 80TB RAID 10 or 144TB RAID 6 NAS though.
Jaxon Sullivan
Maybe they should stop geoblocking me then.
Brandon Taylor
Anime will die in out lifetime in the west.
Ian Harris
They can't keep getting away with it
Easton Rivera
>Can't get anime legally because live in the wrong country Literally forced to pirate
Bentley Brooks
>144TB RAID True autism.
Joseph Carter
Thanks capitalism!
Aiden Torres
That's why I might go with the 80TB RAID 10 configuration. A shitload of space while still having complete backup.
Connor Gray
I'd really buy loli books from Fakku, but it's most likely illegal in my cuntry.
Nicholas Adams
>have a RAID >lightning strike or software bug destroys all disk at the same time I'd rather make external backups.
Samuel Evans
A staff member can't add 100 animes to MAL and review them all or rate them all in one day, whereas a staff member CAN pretend to be a user who needs an invite by posting one disposable mail with very little effort. Even if they manage this, the MAL will not be cached which indicates that it is a fake MAL designed to trap you.
Also the person on MAL has to be the same as the person on 4chin otherwise if you post someone else's MAL otherwise when you PM them a random person will not know what you're talking about. Furthermore, with someone's MAL you can also look up that person's username and make sure that they are likely to be a good private tracker member, make sure that they won't cheat or sell invites and get you into trouble.
Brayden Lopez
Pay $60 and back it up to Amazon's cloud dude.
Levi Long
>Is Sup Forums cursed?
Can't fight the dick, my dude.
Jackson Long
>lightning strike Easily preventable with a USP with surge protection. >software bug Not as preventable but a HDD failure is more likely. With externals there is a lot more risk of drive failure.
I can understand their reasoning to keep out the riffraff. MAL always felt like a circlejerk so I never bothered. I stuck to the text file method for some years. Now I just look through the server to check if I have the show.
Maybe someday, I'd set up a VPN between my UTM and AWS so it would be like local access but would be far easier to maintain. It's something I've thought about.
Camden Rodriguez
Blame newfags and normies
Christopher Wright
AB itself obviously won't ask for a MAL.
Jonathan Collins
:^)
Nathaniel Perez
Wut about Rutracker, guys? We have exclusive releases (for example - Excellent Slayers TV 1-3 rip)
