they have to go back

>EU have shill bot
nothing new, EU is shit and reason we cannot have good games ever
MUH FIFA
fuken normalfags

So the bot just shits up Sup Forums? Telling those fags to buy EA

I still love how Redditors chewed the fuck out of that EA rep who tried to "explain" why the latest Star Wars Battlefront is ALL microtransactions and all of the classic characters (Vader, Luke, etc) are locked unless the user pays extra.

Shattered the record for the most downvoted post on Reddit ever (3/4 million downvotes).

Well it sure as shit hasn't worked, I've been boycotting ea games for years and I have no intention of stopping now.

bumpbump

why boycott when you can pirate them

>Advertising bot
Violates global rules 11 and 14. If this company is willing to put a name and face on their activity, Hiro should sue, or even press criminal charges (technically, this could be construed as a violation of the computer fraud and abuse act in that it exceeds authorized usage).

>not pirating games

Too bad they'll just end up buying the next major AAA title from EA and forget what happened.

Doesn't work for online play. Also, DENUVO is stronk.

>implying they didn't buy Sup Forums passes fair and square.

I knew these shitposters were an AI. Some fucking redditor trace all there ips back to AWS and their response times were too fast.

Makes sense. I've been wondering who the fuck would willingly promote Battlefield or any other shit EA puts out.

Mods on Sup Forums still nuking any discussion about this. Think Hiro got threatened?

I mean, I would be pretty spooked if even a handful of these went public.

Threatened to have his payments for allowing this bullshit to happen cut, yeah.

isn't denuvo cracked within hours nowadays? complete fucking joke like every other offline drm

Post the fucking source. Post any place announcing this leak. I've googled it and find nothing.

>i've googled it and find nothing

Fuck your stupid games..read to the part about “schedule Z”

Mapping out our homes with WiFi and gps and monitoring every single thing we do with an AI

Depends on the game. There are lots of DENUVO games that still have never been cracked.

That's why they shilled so hard for lootboxes during the battlefront fiasco...

No source. It started on Sup Forums. Someone posted a link to google drive claiming he received dead man's switch email, someone else said he managed to download the file and decrypt it, then he posted a bunch of images. Images are available here: imgur.com/a/rhFuj

What the hell, that sounds like some crazy shit.. Ads personalized to the point of audio, style etc? I wonder how that Hank bot interacts though, it says it's designed to reactivate a customer who already expressed how mch they hate a product. How the hell would an AI go on to change that view? this is some mind boggeling shit

Then post a source that has reported on it. Any source. This isn't an appeal to authority, I don't give a shit. I just want to know if this is astro-turfed Sup Forums meme to trigger autists like me.

I feel that the shit about the bot is made up marketing bullshit. And the picture with bot conversation is missing from the collection. We don't have the AI that can pretend to be human yet.

exactly hwat I thought, shit like this is the only reason Sup Forums is still alive

any really big games that haven't been cracked? i get that they can't invest time to crack them all

Everyone on V fucking hates ea, whatever theyre doing isn't working.

Most major new releases are cracked quickly now becuase the groups know what to look for, but if it wasn’t a major game back when that drm was new it’s less likely to be cracked unless it was a major hit. And of course online is always an issue with cracked games.

How are they mapping your homes? It sounds like you're installing a bunch of smartphone apps that you shouldn't be. Personally, I use a rooted Android phone with AdAway, MinMinGuard, and Protect My Privacy. What this means is that virtually all ads are blocked on my phone, and even if an app still reports back, it's fed garbage randomized data.

it seems extremly unlikely, but then again, AI is getting better and there is too much stuff I can't even begin to understan when it comes to technology. If not now, then certainly in the future there will be such a bot.

Oh I've no doubt Hiro takes payment to allow ad firms to shill freely.
But I'm wondering if there were other threats. I mean, this is pretty damning information, stuff that could undermine public trust in publishers (more than it already is) and make a ton of these strategies ineffective due to public knowledge.

AC Origins remains uncracked because they layered DRM on top of Denuvo, it's double obfuscated now

solution: don't play video games. go out and build something instead.

That would explain all the shilling for their microtransactions we see in here.
I just thought people where so contrarian they couldn't allow themselfs to be on the same side as redditors.

see

hank you have to go back

>there is no source, it started on Sup Forums
>post the source!!!

what

Wasn't there at some point talk about how Hiroshima is also owner or has ties to data mining companies?

because a boycott usually is a moral stance. if you "boycott" something and then via a side channel get to use/view/play it then you're not really boycotting it. that thing still gets your most important resource: your time.

stop being a poorfag nigger who values money over time. that's what poor people do.

Slowpoke here. Can someone point me to the general direction of an imageurl, or full set?

Pretty sure for games that can be pirated the most important thing the company can receive from you is money and not time.

That is not a possibility, i'm afraid.

>imgur.com/a/rhFuj
alright. thanks tovarich. I saw a glimse of this earlier today, and didn't think to save it all before it got banhammered on the normie site I was on.

they wont post the images themselves and it's a bunch of memeflags and slav fucks.

Don't click that link, nigger.

spoken like a shithole. stay shithole and spend your time on vidya.

No one is talking about this. The same day this came out everyone was shilling the Trump pornstar story. This is getting swept under the rug.

Amen.
/thread

The discussion is about denying resources to company not to yourself, way to miss the point, meme flag.

I used to be a gamergater but then one day I turned off my computer, went out and found a nice traditional wife, and never looked back.

Fuck. That is pretty fucked up.

It's not an EA presentation. It was an AI company's marketing presentation to try to sell to videogame companies.

I used to be white but then Sup Forums declared Slavs not white.

Oh yeah that's right, isn't it?
Complete scumbag.

So it's either gommies or retarded corporations

Better pirate more and stick to nip games.

They use wireless signals. Your phone, router, gaming console, etc. By reading interference over and over they eventually create a map of your home. They can even learn how many people live there, if you have children or pets too. The way that works is the same, but you create a low confidence interference area because people move around.

Woah holy shit, EA markets on Sup Forums? Who would have fucking thought

doesnt have to be human, just has to make you believe it is when the only means of discerning it isn't is interpreting the tone of written text.

I used to support obama but now I suck drumpf's dick every day

This leak seems similar to the Baltimore Antifa BLM docs leak a week or so ago. Pics of docs posted on Sup Forums. Smells from a mile away.

They neither post the source or the images but shill a link. Already saged.

That's not an answer. What device is reporting the information to them? I highly doubt Sony or Microsoft would be complicit in selling harvested WiFi data about what is happening in your home, so it's not likely your gaming console. It's probably your phone and some shitty apps you have installed.

Kek

Thanks EA!

Hi EA!

Why would they not be? This is a marketing company that could rake them in more money. In the original slides there was a long section about how anyone using their service couldn't be held legally responsible. They even joked about their AI killing someone and everything being alright. Even if that isn't the case there are more vulnerabilities. Is your computer wireless? There are plenty of backdoors that could be used. Even if it isn't directly done by the marketing company, they could get the info from someone else that may have gotten it illegally.

I fucking hate EA, they suck, fuck you. I'm just letting you know that you should stop freely and willingly handing over your data to advertising companies by not paying attention to what is on your phone. Your phone aggregates more information about you than anything else in history. It has GPS and cell tower triangulation, so it always knows where you are. It has a microphone so it can record you and perform speech to text. It has a list of all of your contacts and who you've called and when. It has all over your text message conversation history. It has all of your photos. It's linked to your email and all sorts of cloud services.

But for some reason people will install random shit, filled with adware. Even if one app doesn't have insane permission requirements, advertising companies can and do aggregate data between them. So one app will collect your call history. Another will collect your text messages. And so on. They use fingerprinting to tie them together. If you buy a phone the first thing you do should be root it and use something like Titanium Backup to remove or freeze all the bloatware it came preinstalled with. Then install adblocking apps like AdAway and MinMinGuard.

And that does not exist yet.

Praise pavel he speaks truth.

>Why would they not be?
Well, I'd be very skeptical of Sony or Nintendo selling the data. Mostly because they're Japanese and hate Americans companies. Advertising really isn't their bag. They suck at it. Look at the Vita or Wii U for examples of that. Now, I wouldn't put it past Microsoft, but it seems like it would be a bad decision based on what the fallout from it could be. Then again, I don't own any Microsoft consoles so I don't really care.

> I don't own any Microsoft consoles so I don't really care.
Do you by any chance get a "free" copy of Windows 10?
Hmmm

Yes and no. I need Windows for work. But usually I'm just a Gentoo-tier neckbeard.

Keep it in an offline VM in Gentoo host. Don't let the cancer spread. Windows10 detects that it runs in a VM.

This?

That'd be a real pain in the ass if I get an after hours call from someone panicking that shit is down. I keep Windows on my laptop so I can respond quicker.

Keep a windows machine at work and remote VNC into it. Don't keep Windows 10 on your personal wifi network for fucks sake.

They know everything about you. Age, gender, income, education, occupation, address, phone number, what you do, where you go, who lives with you, who you meet, what physical/mental illnesses you may or may not have, any vices, drug/alcohol use, everything you can think of. They even know what porn you watch (pic related). They've even been gathering lists of rape victims, and their algorithms have been known to figure out that some women are pregnant before the women themselves knew about it. A company called Acxiom also lists 3000 potential psychological weaknesses that can be used for marketing

They barely know anything about me.

We've already been over this with a fine tooth comb. The presentation is a hoax because it is far too poorly written, particularly their sentence structuring and syntaxing.

But I dont doubt that there are entities working on this at the moment. This could very well be a hoax deigned to discredit future claims.

>They know everything about you.
>implying I play AAA games.

EA is the worst. I was reading how leaked memos show they do online matchmaking in a way to make people more like to buy items with cash. Like teaming up bad players with good ones with good paid loot to make them buy shit. EA is pure evil.

They've got you my dude. We're all part of the marketing bot net now. Ids ober...

Our VPN gateway uses proprietary client software that doesn't work with Linux. So even if I could ensure that my TUN/TAP drivers worked properly between kernel recompiles, which is not something I'd want to chance in an emergency situation, it's just not possible.

Build what? A fucking treehouse?

Don't listen to H.A.N.K. The slides and papers are drafts. There are placeholder images and notes on the papers.

The real presentation isn't seen.

Even if you are in possession of a Sup Forums pass, you are still not permitted to use bots, or to advertise. If you want to advertise on Sup Forums, you MUST do so using the appropriate channels.

It's all about limiting exposure. You can't fully escape it because there are people harvesting data externally that you simply can't avoid. For example, there are people (non-LEO) with license plate scanners set up on their cars that feed the data they collect into databases so people can search where cars where at certain time periods or perform pattern matching.

The biggest threat to your privacy is currently your smartphone. It has access to your email and text messages. It usually has everything required to gain access to any of your online accounts via a password reset, even if they use two-factor authentication. Lock that shit down.

What makes me laugh about this is if EA actually just put the same effort and money into producing a good product they'd probably make just as much money.

That's like telling people to study on exams instead of cheating.

>implying I play AAA games
Are you this stupid for real? The leaks came from a company that makes mobile games, but the customer data profiles are being gathered about everybody, including you. They have your browsing history. If you've ever bought anything, they have your purchase history. If you've ever had any social media presence (from Facebook to Whatsapp) they have everything that entails. Even if you have none of those, they're still building a profile on you, spying on you through your normie friends and building a list of contacts

I've avoided EA products ever since they made Red Alert 3. They really know how to get smaller studios like Westwood Studios to make a game and then they fuck 'em in the ass and ruin the series. Do the right thing: Avoid Ubisoft and EA.

This is what I have been saying for a while now. JUST MAKE A GOOD GAME! They waste so much money on market research and paying top dollar for advertisers and lawyers. It could be put to better use.

I avoid anything with a proprietary third party DRM scam service. I mean steam is DRM too but its the best possible kind. Ideally, I'd be going gog exclusively but they just dont have everything.

EA could have flown under the radar with a lot of shit and avoided bad publicity if they were more clandestine and creative with their marketing schemes and just abided by steam's TOS insetad of chucking a hissy fit the way they did with the in-game purchases fiasco.

>Even if you have none of those, they're still building a profile on you, spying on you through your normie friends and building a list of contacts

This is what's really wild. Our only hope is to disappear into the woods.

>I mean steam is DRM too but its the best possible kind
Not really. Valve can close your account at any time for any reason and you'll lose access to all of your games. They probably wont do that, but you're at their mercy not to do so, and you'd be a fool to think they've not erroneously closed accounts before.

>shill on Sup Forums
all we do is talk shit about them though

Who the fuck buys games from EA anyway.
I would never install their cancerous program on my desktop.

Steam is content delivery service, and the scenario you described can happen to any content delivery service.
