I want the real S4 back
Aikatsu Stars
Other urls found in this thread:
Yuzu was the only good member of the old S4.
I want Ichigo back.
You'll have to make do with Fake S3 for now. Maybe there will be another S4 selection in Aikatsu Stars: Akari Generation.
I want to fuck Lala.
The new S4 isn't all bad.
I love 1/4 of the new S4
Clearly the genius writers think it is since they got rid of Ako.
...
I take it you're a Mahiru fan?
Osu!
(((Mahiru))) is boring and meme
...
Fantastic OP, truly an example of how threads should be started. Everyone give OP the clap he deserves.
You sound mad.
This show needed TsubaHime.
I'm boring and not even meme.
Do you even karate chop, oneesan?
I can't believe Akatsukin is dead.
S1 wasted the S4.
Mahiru is a good girl but she's been shit in S2 so far and I hope next episode is good for her.
He's in my basement, along with Ranflakes and Train-kun.
He's not dead, he just hates us.
How can she be shit when she has done nothing?
>but she's been shit in S2
In S1 too
She doesn't do anything but talk about her oneesan.
Mahiru is so silly.
That's even worse.
Would you consider getting rid of Ako to be wirth another of these?
...
I just want Tsubasa back
...
Show me your eggs, girly.
...
>tfw can't find one without the word "sample" over the good shit.
Utau was cuter than Amu.
*unzips dick*
Hope is Aikatsu doing? I'm a little anxious about the future.
...
Yes
Are they seriously getting rid of Ako? Why do they keep getting rid of the good characters and never the shitty ones?
B-but new memes! pafekto ja nai!
She was in the next episode preview and one of the episode synopsis mentions Lily so this exchange to the boat won't last for too long.
It's doing better than I am.
Yeah, but no one cares about you.
I think they're still boat students, the boat just didn't depart.
You're right, I'm more like Jewelpet than Aikatsu.
By trying to divvy up time between the main four and S4, they ended up wasting S4 and making a mediocre main crew. The two rabbits proverb is rather apt in this situation.
Doesn't help that two of the old S4 are extremely connected to two of the mains so writing them out is pretty much the same as gutting the mains too.
S4 is not a bad concept on paper but I don't know if it's bad in execution or if it was just Stars writers. Maybe 4 was just too many but that doesn't even works as an excuse considering Dance Class may as well not exist.
Why Aikatsukin hate us?
I may have bullied him too hard.
Did he bitch about it or just fuck off?
Ako is shit
He called me a yandere once.
/ai/ is more like /pc/ with every passing day. No discussion at all happens anymore, just people shitting on one another and posting with one-liners and aggressive replies without any substance. What went wrong?
You
That's how we've always been. It's /pc/ that became more like us the past couple years.
Nope
...
I don't know user, it always goes well until someone starts bitching over nothing. Go take a shower, take a break from these threads from a while or something, It's not really our fault you're not having fun.
...
I blame the slow decline of the power hour.
...
It was poor execution on account of S1 Stars starting with way too many characters instead of gradually introducing them throughout the series. They attempted to do that by how Ako, Mahiru, and Lily were introduced, but by that point we already had had S4, M4, and Yume + Koharu, Headmaster, and the four 'teachers'.
So by episode 23 they had to split time between the the main crew + Koharu before she got shipped off, Lily, the S4 secondary main characters, and then the 10 or so other side characters, not to mention the sidles.
There just wasn't enough time for proper development, I think.
>Lily
What was even the point of introducing her at all, in hindsight?
Goddamn.
I blame the Song Class bloat more than anything. Teather and Beauty class turned out alright considering all.
There's also the teachers that aren't Anna, and Nozomu who seems to exist solely because they wanted the boy group to have four members to go with S4.
She's supposed to be the cool senpai character everyone admires, but that's the S4, and then they try to mix her up as a support character for the girls to lean on and for the girls to see a world they've not yet seen, but that's also done by the S4. She's awkwardly in the middle of not a new student but also not being a S4 and we are supposed to think she's S4-tier but that all crumbles by, you know, not making her S4. And even now we can see that Yume still depends on her for knowledge as shit.
They really should have not had the girls reach S4 this season. It sbould have been Lily, Yuzu, then some admins from the other classes getting promoted.
Beauty class should have been Kokoro.
They really shouldn't have, especially how S1 turned out.
I feel Ako and Mahiru were fine. Besides, having some literally whos as the new S4 wouldn't work out because they can't sell toys like that, you have to have existing characters on it yes or yes. The real problem is and has always been Song Class being so bloated. Between Yume, Rola, Lily and let's even pretend Yuri had a chance and mention her too.
>and let's even pretend Yuri had a chance and mention her too.
You chose the words that would hurt me the most, didn't you?
I love Yuri as well but even she knew she wouldn't have a chance. She was a Lilyfag from day 1 and always felt guilty about getting her CD debut just because Lily was not able to participate because of her weak body.
But well, who cares about that, Yuma da bes and omoshiroi janai. The writing was too deep for us to properly understand and watch after all.
youtube.com
There are way too many kids shows airing I didn't even know existed...
Knowing she had no chance from the start just made it hurt even more, although Lily going and getting fourth fucking place after all that made it even worse.
If they're going to pretend FUTARI NARA SAIKYOU is an actual thing they can't let Rola fall too behind Yume.
Do you think Idol Time is going to phase out Lala and the others' cameos until it's just the new generation?
Not sure honestly. I think Lala will stick around for at least the entirety of the first season, but once they finally get the Paparajuku PriPara up and running she won't really have a reason to stay anymore.
>50 episodes of S4 are the greatest shit
>Oh wait nevermind, S4 is not that big of a thing and Nippon idols are scrubs everyone else in the world makes fun of and Hime's super duper hardcore S4 training is something the Venus Ark nameless idles do for basic training
It's just like DBZ.
The writers really wrote themselves into a block when they decided that everyone's goal should be to catch up to S4 and eventually become S4 instead of, say, surpassing S4 or becoming something else.
It makes sense that most countries would mainly care about their native music and idols as opposed to foreign ones though. The only thing that's arguably bullshit is Elza being better than Hime after the first season portrayed Hime as being literally idol Jesus who came out of the womb singing and overcame rainbow cancer.
The DBZ equivalent would be that after Goku achieves Super Saiyan after Vegeta spent 99% of it's screentime going MUH SUPER SAIYAN to foreshadow it Future Trunks appears but instead of being a Super Saiyan he's Super Saiyan Blue completely outclassing Super Saiyan right after hyping it so much.
I was thinking in terms of villains. Frieza is made out to be the greatest evil in the universe who blows up planets, then when Goku surpasses him Toriyama had to pull time travel alternate future bullshit to bring in enemies stronger then Frieza, then when they're beaten an ancient evil is summoned that is stronger than anything else, then literal gods of destruction, then time travel alternate universe gods of destruction, etc. All of DBZ after Frieza is nonsense.
Well, DBZ was supposed to end with Frieza after all. Blame his shitty editor who was always a whiny bitch and wanted him to change everything all the time and Shonen Jump wanted to keep milking the cow.
And Stars was probably supposed to end with season one, especially considering the toy sales were never good to begin with. The writers probably didn't think they needed anything beyond the finality of Yume becoming S4 and had to pull something out of their ass when they were told there was going to be a second season.
Source: Your ass.
This sort of baseless speculation adds nothing to the discussion.
If sales were that bad, then why would it even get a second season? I imagine most shows like this are at least written with the possibility of a second season in mind. And its not like Stars S1 wasn't a mess by itself.
Speculation is part of discussion. This kind of bullshit is what's killing these threads.
>one season
>a huge cashcow that had previously been 4 years long
Yumegen was a mistake.
That's not how anime writing and production works at all.
There's a difference between believable speculation and outright spouting bullshit that cannot by true by any measure of logic.
What? A second season was planned from the beginning. Shit like the Dress Make System being removed wasn't.
It was more that we assumed three seasons were planned when we assumed Lily would make it to the S4, but we could just have two years after all.
Aikatsu was a mistake.
...
They're gonna end Stars this season, the Aikatsu Ranking gives them a chance to do it. Enjoy your top 4 idols in the world being Yume, Hime, Elza and Dolores (in that order, most likely).
I really don't see them doing an Akaringen with start. Honestly, I'd rather they didn't. Just give us another reboot. Stars is rotten from the base, not even a brand new main cast would fix the core issues.
/pc/ is more like /ai/ with every passing day. Discussion happens all the time the whole day, just people complimenting on one another and posting with creativity and nice replies filled with substance. What went right?
Am I going to have to wait two years until people recover from the S4 selection?
