Hey Sup Forums. Here's an interesting thought I got while surfing Wikipedia.
Pic related shows the spread of Christianity in Europe in 325 (dark blue) and 600 AD (light blue).
Notice how it started off in major cities before it spread throughout. This instantly reminded me of the 2016 US election which was pretty much city vs suburb/rural. Is progressivism going to follow the same path Christianity did back then whilst conservatism slowly dies out like paganism?

I believe that there is a probability that old and new religions are connected. The 12 gods of Olympus (nephilims) were the children of Titans (demons) and overthrew them. Think of it like Tolkien's pantheon. One God and many lesser gods.

It began in cities because information was spread through cities first. Now with the internet and all, information is more or less equally spread throughout with perhaps a couple of years different between cities and rural areas regarding trends and such, but if this was the case then your theory would have already occurred.
