Idk the Jews there seemed pretty nice and we mostly just examined some passage of the Talmud about how if your neighbor’s tree’s roots go into your property they are stealing your nutrients and therefore they should be sued. When I made a joke saying “why don’t we just deport the trees and build a wall” they laughed and suggested the trees were “mutts” as in they weren’t racially pure and therefore didn’t belong in Israel. Idk just an interesting thing. They explain their reason for supporting refugees and liberal immigration policies is because they don’t want to be hypocrites because they were once refugees during WWII. They definitly seemed to be dedicated to humanitarian policies.

The Jews I was with are critical of Israel’s government’s “xenophobia”, so they’d agree with you there. They think Israel is being hypocrites, although they still support Zionism in general because they follow the Talmud.

I was going to these backwater online news outlets to read about israeli current events and there was an ad for the conglomeration of athiest humanistic judaism and i clicked it and read about a meeting they were having in brooklyn so i got in contact with them and showed up
