Was discussing the Assembly's recommendations today. The consensus among us was that the voting age should, if anything be raised, not lowered. I know no politically informed 16 year olds. I'd set my clock by ya but it was late last night Gway James.
Sebastian Clark
to the bitter end boys
Robert Ramirez
I don't mind lowering it, but only if it's based on achieving some minimum grade in CSPE.
Colton Brown
Get in here Fenians
Jordan Russell
you know you're autism has reached its peak when you're being compared to this faggot
Joshua Rodriguez
I would gladly support an Irish monarchy if we either found the rightful heir to Boru or somehow organised clans out of the existing Irish people and they would choose the high king from the best amongst their number. Gets the job done doesn't it Fuck lowering the age people seem to think more votes is better but I have always thought what good is someone's vote if they don't care in the first place, it's fine as is and hell raising it would do no harm either.
Benjamin Hughes
This could actually be 10D chess because of how many idiots would vote to repeal the 8th just because of a "Fuck the church!" attitude.
Kevin Rogers
I still can't get over the Jacobite Bonnet in his pic
Luke Myers
because we don't have any legitimate line and republican dictatorship is better is generally better anyway
>select from a pool of the monarch's family or >select from a pool of the brightest in the nation no matter social class
easy choice, monarchism just lets idiots into power. just like at tsarist russia: the monarchy was so horrible the people turned to communism to stop a mad man with mystical powers ruling them
Julian King
Based farage, buzzing for irexit talk
Christopher Reyes
In fairness our old method for selecting a high king was rather good and the fact that he was more of a legal authority than anything else kept him from going apeshit was nice too. if we were to reinstate a monarchy I would want it to be merely symbolic if it were hereditary and to be equal to the president if it were selected from a newly created and reorganised clan system like I mentioned earlier.
Ian Allen
monarchism isn't inherently royalism
Cameron Price
I assume peoples' IPs have changed and there's been a bit of double voting. Pic related is what we've got, apparently
I was talking about big JR This. I understand respect for and interest in the nation's history but the monarchist/druid/viking larping is beyond me. Dress code? (Post it bois)
Jason Thompson
That's twice now I've seen Syrians trotted out on the news. "Stories of the success of Syrian Immigrants across Europe" me fucking arse.
Leo Baker
I agree, Hugo Ricciardi O'Neill is the rightful king of Ireland, the last High King of Ireland (Brian O'Neill in 1258) and the leaders of the last monarchical rebellions (the Nine Years War and the 1641 Rebellion) in Ireland were all O'Neills.
> found the rightful heir to Boru Fuck no, that line is well tainted, the O'Briens fought for the English in many wars including the Nine Years War.
Ayden Ross
Well there we go that leaves the other option which is the only one I am really interested in.
Angel Hughes
Would prevent little goblins like Higgins being president

the war is over they have to go back and rebuild their country

This. If you had an extended royal family populated with people raised to rule, and then had the monarchy itself be counterbalanced by other institutions, such as a parliament, national religion and possibly some sort of capitalist's guild, you could have a very effective country.
The trick is to not give the normies too much freedom (because they'll fuck it up), but still ensure that no corrupt dipshit at the top ruins it for everybody.
Mason Cox
you said Total War

Checked and also this, actual refugees stayed fairly close to home in either safe parts of Syria or other middle eastern countries I suspect the ones that come over here mostly consist of people opposed to Assad and pricks looking for money likely both at the same time.
Jordan Morales
>some men can only be pushed so far
That sounds awfully familiar.
Luke Hall
strewth, and the ones opposing Assad are more than likely fundamentalist to boot
Benjamin Bell
It means that (((they))) can only engage with the system through one channel, and will never outnumber the people living in the country, who will have access to every channel.
Control the opposition.

Tommy Robinson should have been arrested and held in jail in the Republic for a long time. Paisley Jr. has fuck-all sway, his father was pushed out of the Party and they've since had two leaders. He was not a major contender in either power struggle.I find it amazing that he is still involved with the DUP considering how they treated Paisley and his religion. You'd think he would have fucked off to TUV.
This outcome was ruled out as an impossibility under the terms of the GFA. However, it was actually the proposed solution of the UDA (the largest Loyalist paramilitary) and their political representatives the Vanguard Party (which was the largest Loyalist political party during most of the Troubles, but has since been forgotten for some reason).
So lads what do you think will come of this lark? I have my doubts that it will happen but it changes a lot if it does go ahead.
Wyatt Foster

At least 9 new seats will be ours in the Republic, to the direct detriment of FF, FG and Labour. Perhaps we will win more, a Direct Strike to the health of the Ruling Parties. The future is looking good.

So me and my Danish girlfriend are going to be moving to Ireland soon.
I've lived in England all my life, but my ancestry is Irish, and I look fairly Irish, green eyes, reddish hair, but my accent is very English. Will I be accepted into Irish society?
Isaiah King
You're being a bit to optimistic. A lot of people are wising up to SF and the left.

Wait, what? To where? Tír na Crowg?
>they all have to go back Like that will ever happen. Also, I amn't really referring to Jews with the echo brackets, but all the people who would fuck things up for everyone else (a lot of those people happen to be Jews ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).
And even if Jews were the only problem, when had genociding a population ever actually removed them. The Romans tried it with the European Celts, and failed. The brits tried it with us, and failed. I don't know how many people have tried to shoah the Jews, and they keep coming back like those shitty RSA ads.
Protect your system from dickheads. It's the only way.
I'd only do it if we were replacing the state. I was never convinced on the idea of a republic. The republic was the system of the Romans, not the Celts. Surely we should use our own philosophy when forming our own system of governance?
Ethan Bell
>I wouldn't even try to predict the weather that far in the future, let alone the political climate these days...
My predictions are solid, I have strong probability skills. I have a Paddy Power account, and I've made over 400% of the money I invested into it. Just look at the constituencies I have made these predictions from
Keep in mind that Cavan-Monaghan has been expanded to 5 seats by the Boundary Commission for the next election.
Our scalps include Jan O'Sullivan (LAB), Finian McGrath (IND), Paul Kehoe (FG), Penrose (LAB), Joan Burton (LAB), Hildegarde Naughton (FG), and Alan Kelly (LAB).
The future is very predictable, if you know what information to look for.
Lincoln Jones

SF is the least stable main party in Irish politics, and almost always fractures in times of upheaval (read Brexit and Populist Uprising).
As for PBP, I don't even know what their name is going to be tomorrow let alone if they're going to be around in 2021 XD

>Said the constitution was out of touch
Damn right. It was the Constitution which led de Valera to say that Ireland was a "Catholic country". This infuriated the Unionists and led directly to the phrase "a Protestant Ulster for a Protestant people". Many people do not realise that the Loyalist working class actually voted left-wing before those days.
As a direct result of this Constitution, Sectarianism became entrenched in the voting patterns of the Loyalists. Ian Paisley himself stated that if the Constitution of the Republic was abolished, that many Unionists would be open to a United Ireland. Not only is the Constitution outdated today, it was outdated when it was first drafted and was simply an extenuation of Dev's Economic War against the Brits. Gerry is 100% correct.
Ethan Cook
>Damn right. >It was the Constitution which led de Valera to say that Ireland was a "Catholic country". >Ian Paisley himself stated that if the Constitution of the Republic was abolished, that many Unionists would be open to a United Ireland. Considering how stubborn Unionists are, I doubt that. They'd just find another reason to be opposed.
Jonathan Harris
>SF is the least stable main party in Irish politics
In the North? Yes, their support base is unpredictable from one election to the next. However, in the Republic, their support typically increases a solid 4% each time (with the notable exception of 2007). In the next election, you can expect them to receive around 18% of FPVs.
With S-PBP, National polls are largely irrelevant as they do not have a National grass-roots. It is likely that their support will grow in their Home Constituencies, especially considering Labour support will drop.
I obviously cannot predict the lotto, however when the GAA league starts up I can give you some damn good suggestions. I make a killing in my GAA bets.

So what, we are Catholics, we suffered. we can't control what goes on in the heads of planters. It doesn't mean that Adams is right in what he said, how is sf the republican party when they shite talk the fucking constitution. Just stop talking you brainwashed cuck.
Lincoln Johnson
>He stated this when he was old and started to soften up during the Peace Process >started to soften up and this matters?
didn't protestants throw a bomb into a catholic playground full of kids the day news of the treaty signing came out? And all that shit that took place in the following spring, like the water St.(?) Massacre, that was all stemming from the constitution, nothing else?
William Edwards
West brit commie fag?
Brayden Foster
>So what
So What is that you cannot administer a United Ireland under religious supremacy.
Dev did not endorse this Constitution as a form of Liberation, it was drafted to purposefully stick it to the Brits. This directly led to a deterioration of relations in the North of Ireland and the subsequent delay of a 32 County Republic.
I am not operating from a disposition of antagonism, I am simply observing history as it occurred. I was an Alter Boy as a child, I believed strongly in Catholicism. The Constitution was a purposeful Power Move against the Prods of the North-East and it is right to remove such legislation in order to achieve a 32 County Republic.
Jacob Rodriguez
Those boys will hate us anyway, better to be ourselves, we were given penal laws simply for religious association. It's OUR country, we can do what we want.
But tell me, since you're all for appeasing protestants, how your mp mocked the protestant victims of a deadly massacredelaying the reconvening of the northern ireland assembly in the process. It's coming straight from the horse's mouth tbqh.
Alexander Gutierrez
I am not aware of such events occurring. I naturally despise the like of Michael Brown, however I support the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission so that the Past can be placed firmly in the Past
