Most of the mecha stuff is gone, so that's a big plus. We get Slice of Life action with non-moe android girl. That's a plus.
I'm not too sure on how well they'd keep the mysterious atmosphere, which is the main drive for me.

As a bonus, it'd be great. Would not replace the original, though.

Why would they make it with girls? The company is filled to the brim with fujos and female otaku.

But they`ve only ever made one fujo series. Literally everything else they`ve made is filled with girls.

I've never seen anything by Kyoani that even resembles the same feel as Kaleido Star, so it'd probably be ruined. They'd completely change the tone of the series, and the artstyle would be less unique too. Kyoani couldn't do it.

My favorite anime is Clannad, though.

That's something I've actually wanted for a long time, for season 1. Remake it in the style of season 2. It's the only way to add more content to K-on, and season 2 was much better. If the whole story was in that style, it'd be perfect.

The writer of Kaleido Star usually teams up with Yamada so I think it'd be much better, if anything.

K-On S1 looks really off compared to S2

Really? Maybe it could be good, then. The biggest problem with Kaleido Star was the story, but it probably wasn't they who came up with that, right?
I was just thinking Yamada usually makes heavy, emotional stuff, but the comedy in K-on is pretty light in tone, so maybe it'd work. And one of the great things about Kaleido Star is the great emotional moments anyway. It could be really good, actually. But the animation would probably be ruined, and they wouldn't be able to do much with the story in a remake.
Ugh, just imagined the annoying bird as the spirit of the stage, that'd be awful, but hopefully Yamada knows better now.

I would be stoked if Yamada made an original similar to Kaleido Star.
We need more anime like that.

I like my favorite anime because it balance school sol, action, drama and take almost no focus on romantic relationships, so something kyoani is fundamentally incapable to do, might as well make live action to spit on it properly.
That optimistic version, imagine entire season of yryr adapting one or two volumes of manga.

I don't think I've seen a KyoAni production in my life.

Better in every regard aside from art direction.

KyoAni is too perfect to make an anime about a struggling animation studio. They would not know how it would feel.
