I personally became a Zoroastrian very recently. I was an atheist for most of my life until 2016. In 2017 I became a Catholic but through my repeated frustrations with dealing with the corrupt Catholic church, and despising the rest of the Christian denominations, I looked elsewhere.
I've always been fascinated by Zoroastrianism, ancient Iranians and I've thought. Why do people become Pagans to be in touch with their European identities instead of Zoroastrians? They're Indo-European, the religion is extremely based and as opposed to paganism, it's actually a real religion.
tfw you'll never marry a Zoroastrian qt
Anyway I'm going to try and gather a Zoroastrian community here on Sup Forums. I'll go and make a discord for it.
Checked those dubble dubbles
Make sure I get the discord address!
Reminder that the Three Magi followed the stars and it led them to the baby Jesus Christ
Not a Zoroastrian but what do you guys think of Manicheans?
>157093146
HOLY SHIT
I am convinced that THAT is no coincidence. I must be on the right path.
Here's the discord! HqZQVn
Remember it's open to everyone!
If you're curious or have questions stop by!
Let's make this the newest, coolest community on Sup Forums
Can someone give me a quick rundown on Zorastrianism? I can wiki it, obviously, but I'd prefer a human's opinion first before it becomes just another neat read that I never look back on. I call that maneuver "the Shinto".
I find it interesting but I don't have anything interesting to add to it besides what you can already find online. I'll try and educate myself on it soon.
>first monotheistic religion
>completely aryan
>duality of good and evil
>the prophet is called Zoroaster
>one day there will be an end times (like revelations)
>there will be a Saoshyant
>How do you do, fellow kids.
So you're farming IPs then. Go glow in the dark somewhere else.
No.

And teach us annon, how can we learn about this religion? Have any documentaries you can recommend?
/CaMcdMD
That is precisely what we will all learn about in the discord server. Collecting information, redpills and documentaries.
>tfw you'll never marry a Zoroastrian qt
Why would that be? I thought Zoros were allowed to marry whoever they wanted?
They can but the chances are small because they're foreign, a small population and don't like to marry outsiders.
A harem of your blood relatives, of course, just like Crusade Kings taught me.
best gameplay hands down
Tried to join just to bang this one persian girl. They threw me out.
Your religion is a knock off of a knock off of a knock off of mine
at least you tried
Stop.
You cannot become Zoroastrian, you have to be born as one.
Stop LARPing with some religion you saw in EU4.
You mean CKII.
Never played EU4. I've known about this religion long before videogames.
Also, just like one can become a Christian or Muslim, one can become a Zoroastrian. You should open your mind to the truth.
The fact is, Zoroastrianism and its views make FAR more sense to me than any other religion ever has.
>just like one can become a Christian or Muslim, one can become a Zoroastrian
No, you can't. There is no way to "become" Zoroastrian.
Please provide evidence for that claim or leave my thread
You can convert, but there are some communities which don't accept converts, such as the Parsis (the Zoroastrians who fled Iran after the Muslims arrived and settled in India) whereas the modern Iranian Zoroastrians have no problem with converts.
>you have to be born as one.
That's just the Parsis and their autism, they'll probably all be dead soon but Zoroastrianism will live on.
zoroastrian.org
>It is only the “Traditionalist” Parsis who do not believe in conversion and acceptance. For them, only a person born of Zoroastrian parents is “Zoroastrian” because they believe that religion is pre-destined by God. Some of them now accept a child born of Zoroastrian father and non-Zoroastrian mother. Some reformists accept a child born of Zoroastrian mother and non-Zoroastrian father. Others accept converts from any religion or belief. However, none of the reformist schools are active missionaries.

>The question of whether Zoroastrianism should allow converts is one of the most divisive and bitter issues facing the whole community. While other religions, such as Christianity and Islam, depend on converts to increase their numbers, Zoroastrianism has been, at least in recent centuries, strictly based on ethnicity. You have to be born a Zoroastrian in order to be one; you cannot enter into the faith from outside. But the question is continually asked: why must this be true? Can this policy be changed? And has this always been true in the long history of the faith? In this essay I will try to describe the many problems, arguments, and reasons on both sides of the question.
>Can you convert to Zoroastrianism? The official answer, which is given by the Parsi priestly hierarchy in Bombay, and supported by a large number of traditional Zoroastrians, is NO. In order to be a Zoroastrian, you must be born of two Zoroastrian parents. One is not enough! No children of mixed marriages are officially Zoroastrian. In practice, however, the children of Zoroastrian fathers and non-Z. mothers are sometimes given admission to the faith - but not the children of Zoroastrian mothers and non-Z. fathers
Exactly like I said, you can't become Zoroastrian. Anyone who claims you can is literally LARPing because the official Zoroastrian leadership is that you cannot convert.

"Today Zoroastrianism can be divided in three different sects or dominions: restorationists, progressives and traditionalists (or isolationists). Traditionalists or isolationists are almost solely Parsis and accept, beside the Gathas and Avesta, also the Middle Persian works called 'Nasks of the Sassanians'. They generally do not allow conversion to the faith. Therefore, for someone to be a Zoroastrian, they must be born of Zoroastrian parents. Some traditionalists recognize the children of mixed marriages as Zoroastrians."

It's interesting religion but you should not pretend to believe in dead religion just because it sounds cool on internet
also, why the fuck are there 2 zoro shill threads at same time?
Parsi autism doesn't dictate how the entire religion looks you absolute mongrel
People are waking up to Jewish lies maybe?
Zoroastrianism is what could save Europe
Keep pretending you are Zoroastrian if you want, but it'll never be true. Same thing applies to "Christians" who were never baptized.
You can be Christian without being baptised.
Shows how much you know.
And before you give some dipshit answer, look up "baptism of desire"
Learned about it from Attila: Total War. It died out for a reason..
Stop larping mate you don't really believe in Zoroastrianism, it's same as with pagans you just found cool religion on internet so you pretend to follow it to sound special
Yes and in a few centuries people will be saying whites "died out for a reason".
No, I actually believe there's truth to it and its tenants make more logical sense than the Abrahamic religions (which are based off of Zoroastrianism)
Dead religion
That has nothing to do with being a Christian, that just means you go to Heaven if you wanted to be baptized (which makes no sense). To be a Christian, you have to become baptized; that's the rule, champ.
I think people are waking up to the fact that a religion made by Iron Age Palestinian sheep herders might not be for them. They want to get in touch with their cultural roots, and Zoroastrianism isn't a bad place to start.
Maybe I'm misinformed but don't they prohibit converts from coming into the religion?
Some people calls you a honeypot
Any comments about it¿
So you can go to heaven without being a Christian? Think logically my friend.
Christianity literally means to be a follower of Christ. Nowhere is it stated that you must already be baptised to be one.
Only the ones in India believe this
Not yet. Paganism was dead but it's managing to get some following. I believe they're on the wrong path, but that people can be brought onto this one.

What is Zoroastrianism like anyways? Is it like Abrahamic Religions in character?
Another 99 dub in this thread. Interesting.
Abrahamic religions took a lot from it. The religion itself is redpilled as shit.
>Indo-EUROPEAN
Hmmm... The thing i don't like about Abrabhamic religions is the true teachings are veiled by stories and then the stories are taken literally.
>The religion itself is redpilled as shit.
How so? Maybe it could be the religion of Sup Forums
9 is a very magical number. 369 are important.
the tower of silence is pretty cool
you guys are both fuckin retarded, im entertained, go on please
>Hmmm... The thing i don't like about Abrabhamic religions is the true teachings are veiled by stories and then the stories are taken literally.
zoroastrianism is not abrahamic, it was before abraham. abraham based his shit on zoroastrianism
If you are anything else than agnostic then you are a brainlet and a faggot.
Yes but that means nothing much when we are taking about the way they teach. Idk anything about Zoroastrianism but it sounds interesting, just want to know if it teaches the same way with over symbolic stories, as if it hides everything. If you know what i mean. I want to know the path to god but you have to go to esoteric practices in abrahamic traditions to do that.
