How beneficial would it be for the economy if weed got legalized federally?
How beneficial would it be for the economy if weed got legalized federally?
it would be extremely painful
I think they calced it at a couple billion, of course expanding the mind-altering shit we allow is kind of counter-productive.
this is actually a good question, because with in mind, it doesnt account for the loss of other billions from pharmaceuticals that will not be used
It would guarantee Trump's 2020 win and would make Mexico less of a cartel owned shithole
we're a big country
look at all the seeds in that bullshit
Trump would literally win every single state in the United States next election.
you would kill lumber and synthetictextile
Yes, and instead we would have Space Hemp
This, he's got that card up his sleeve if he really gets in hot water
Well the studies show that it reduces violence, reduces the use of weed, reduces the number of alcoholics and opiate abusers. It takes billions out of the hands of criminals and places it squarely in the hands of the taxman. It makes no sense to not legalise at a federal level outside of some wishy washy arguments about morality.
poor pharma
Legal weed will generate more liberals and communists.
For yous
...
Too bad he's doing the opposite. It's weird how all of the "muh states rights" people are silent on this
>Weed business grows
>Literally everything else outside of top-tier management jobs falls dramatically
K.
...
b-but my favorite (((politician))) told me weed is bad! a-and niggers smoke it so it must be bad! and uh... you're a degenerate if you smoke it! that's more than enough reason for it to be illegal!
t. Sup Forums aka brainlet
That's the bunkiest garbage I've ever seen.
wtf is this? is he going to feed it to cows or something?
>this is what mutts call weed
lmao this. shit looks like moss scratched from a tree trunk
>muh economy
>muh legalization
fucking bootlickers. When the government gets involved in anything, things turn to shit by definition. I hope the Dutch system stays the way it is: semi-legal. This way you can still make some decent cash without getting taxed out of the ass.
Its a multi-billion dollar a year industry. pretty beneficial to get that money out of the black market and into the stock market.
it would still be up to the individual states
I love your weed dutch-bro, never change.
Hate to tell you but if someone who smokes weed is a communist then they were one to begin with. I used to sell it and refused to sell it to shitskins and deadbeats. Still toke up myself if I feel like it and I voted for Trump. If it is legal American money stays in America and the wetbacks can't buy as many sombreros
>LE MUTT MAYMAYS XDDDD
You mean those staged lifts you get for space?
I got legal top tier weed, 40g for $100...oh and the drugstore buds cost $50
inshallah
It would generate billions in tax revenue tax revenue as well as revolutionize big pharma. Cannibanol would be a staple component for alternative medications for treating pain. Instead of running the risk of getting hooked on opiates you can take a non-psychoactive cannabis derived painkiller.
In addition to this you would have a new unexplored open area to research the cancer fighting properties in cannabis and the many terpenes found within it.
The money that was being spent funding the crackdown on marijuana could be spent on cracking down on drugs that we know are poison like amphetamines and heroin.
Black market weed would have to be very potent and sold for pretty much no profit. Thus taking money out of organized crime.
It creates jobs that you need very little training or expertise to get into. Just about anyone who smokes weed would have the knowledge to be a budtender or a trimmer.
The change in regulation would bring out the workforce again. No longer would the stoner have to worry about a drug test so long as it doesn't impair his work. The equivalent of smoking cigarettes but if completely impaired on the job would be treated like being drunk on the job which is catastrophic if caught. Many people would rejoin the workforce taking themselves off welfare in order to get a job to buy more weed when they want it.
All in all there's no reason not to legalize it and due to the research being done in states where it's legal we've found evidence of medicinal purpose meaning it needs to be federally reclassified anyway.
>t. weedfag
Citation needed, surely liberals see it as a form of rebellion against the "man". By legalising it wouldn't be a rebellion.
>Screams about mutt memes
>poster never mentioned mutts
Mutts out in force today.
>top tier weed
lol sure thing
Need to calculate in loss of productivity from apathetic workers and also increased health care costs for lung cancers.
It would be tooooootallllly gnarllllllly maaaaan
Got to agree with , all of my friends that smoke pot are right wing and redpilled.
We even redpilled our dealer, he went from kangs-lite to full on hating Jews and Dems for what they did to his people. Even supports ethnostates as long America provides military aid to African Americans going back to Africa to civilize them in exchange for favorable trade deals with America until the military aid is repaid.
Anecdotal evidence sure, but since there haven't been any studies I can find on consumption of cannabis' effect on political leaning it's all that can realistically be offered.
>puffing on chlorophyll
enjoy that
please stop posting pics of ursen. cheers
I can't believe people are still against it. All the evidence is out there now, Millions of people smoke daily and have normal productive lives.
Oh wait sorry (((big pharma))) gonna lose profits? Durr only commies smoke lol, it cause brain damages lulz def make u gay
Pffft because commies and liberals on grass vote?
legalizing weed would create competition to banks because the cannabis industries that have already been created in various states are sitting on billions that they can't do anything with
weed dispensaries would transition into banking
>157124118
That's state weed, you can join a club, where people grow to sell, I get 24k tang, skywalker, sour diesel,etc... They usw canna products. And you can also have a tent or do it in your backyard, police won't notice or care.
Also we have sunny days and smoke outdoors bikeboii
I'd make a lot of money, so there's that...
Skunk shop in Rearmont has moon rocks for 30 euro a gram.
How do I even smoke this? Do i need these wax smoking apparatus thingies?
I just bought a gram because i thought why the fuck not.
Thankfully i also got 4 grams of northern lights with it.
I love living a 45 min drive from there.
Urugay weed is famously shitty mate the fuck are you on about.
No you wouldnt.
Well congratulations you got yourself pot! Whats the next step in your masterplan?
Colorado would disagree. They made millions in the first year of legal weed alone.
STFU paki
I think it would be a great alternative to tobacco. Everyday you come across an anti-tobacco ad and people are becoming more and more informed about the harmful effects of tobacco, so less people are smoking now. Many tobacco farmers in the legal states have already switched to growing marijuana because of this, and it would be a much more fruitful business for them if it were legalized nationwide. Larger tobacco corporations could possibly produce 2 pack blunts, packs of joints, etc.. the list goes on with potentially successful marijuana products. It would generate a lot of money. I don't see why it hasn't just been totally legalized for all purposes. Now, my only thing I think is right, and fair for independent corporations is for them to be able to have a say in if they will drug test employees for marijuana. If certain companies would discard drug testing someone for marijuana use, then I say that's their independent right. To each their own. I know one things for sure, I wouldn't want to be in the hospital getting operated on by someone who's stoned out of their fucking mind.
Who made that eh?
Not private growers, the growers were basically beating each other over "official grower status".
Some now illegal grower who harvests a few kilos every few months aint gonna get rich if its legal. its the opposite.
Im a celt/germanic middle european mutt but nice try. Weed looks great tho. Maybe you stepped up your game but I heard so much shit about uruweed.
The state made millions in taxation through legal dispensaries. They made almost a million a month.
Are you dumb or trying to troll me?
>moon rocks
I didn't even know what that was. Apparently the best way is to bong it up.
FWIW I love to burn some mary jane but I fucking hate weed culture. There's this Dutch meme called "coffeeshop philosopher"
>has a toke
>yo have you heard about the illuminati
>what if we all live in a computer simulation, like in the matrix. Elon Musk said so too
>hey user why do you go to the gym 4 times a week, are you that insecure about your body
I'll hang them from a hemp noose on DOTR
I'm pointing out an actual thing that happened. Try looking this up man.
Crash this brain, with no survivors
This is what reefer does to you!
DUDE YOU DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHAT I WROTE YOU GIGANTIC RETARD.
THATS CORPORATE EARNING, STATE EARNING NOT PRIVATE GROWERS JESUS CHRIST NIGEL LAY OFF THE SYNTHETIC WEED.
Weed "culture" is fucking retarded. But I dont even know a lot of people who are these stereotype stoners. I got mates from school days who still smoke on weekends and free days and they are pilots, lawyers, ones an architect in brussel etc.
I love buying my weed when teh coffeeshop opens and sit there and smoke one while observing the kind of people who come in.
All kinds of people from all kinds of status.
I was very sad last saturday because they didnt have lemon haze in stock. But they did have morrocan pollen hash which is the bomb.
Weed from drugstores is bad(gob weed), but you can get 40g for $50. You can also choose to subscribe to a club and get this kind of buds for $400 dollars for entering and $100 monthly for 40g....aaaand you can also grow your own.
Sorry for bad syntax and instant-brown you, I'm high and working
And i have to add, of course i know about that colorado story.
My uncle lives in colorado. ( he owns a bakery and his wife specializes on sweets, they had a 300% rise in sales because they started this "munchie cookie" line of sweets that caters to fat stoners)
that depends on what you mean by legal
case in point:
oregon: you can grow your own plants , no worries. I think the max is three "per household". If you wish to sell you weed you must have it tested, and then a dispensary must sell it.
PA: all weed growing is done in sealed off warehouses where the flower will be harvested and further processed into hash oil.
The flower is still illegal to smoke, but the hash oil legal.
>Will this get rid of black market?
no
>Will this put money into the economy?
most definintly yes
>Will the money be spent where the politicians say it will be spent?
most likely not. look at oregon, pot tax was supposed to go to education, but I think they decided differently.
>Is legal weed beneficial for the american public?
this remains to be seen. I predict alot more COPD cases esp. in the 18-30 year olds. As well as a spike in diabetes.
but we all know america loves diabetes and the amount of people diagnosed with diabetes here is a general indicator of how well our "industry" is doing.
If private growers didn't make money selling their product then they would go out of business. Are you trying to troll me?
Well I for one could grow and sell it and probably easily pay for a college education, home, start a business etc.
I guess ill just keep applying for $7 an hour jobs XDEE
most big "private" growers either ran out of business or got the license to grow for shops.
Thats not a lot of people who are allowed to grow said weed for these shops.
You know where im going with this you clueless bastard?
Is it cloudy today? It looks like you are craving for the "D"
/thread
>a spike in diabetes
lol we must alraedy be the diabetes capital of the world
Thats not how this works people.
Are you really that clueless?
No thats mexico, they lead in fatness and diabetes by a lot.
This, it would be equivalent to a zero division error but for libtarded minds, they would be tortured by the fact that they love trump and that he is truely maga
Woa, good one. You should totally become one of these weed smoking funny comedians bro.
Yeah maybe not in LA where you have millionaire entrepreneurs buying warehouses and making automated growing systems.
But in my shitty fucking town with 4,000 people in it, I could easily make a shed in my backyard and fill it with plants and start a bakery business.
I'll send you tickets when i get a gig in Adolfsville
You need a official license to be a grower once its legal.
It ALWAYS goes to said LA types, no matter where you are they just setup there or import it across states.
Trust me it wont be as easy as you might think.
And you would probably be better of concentrating on CBD oils and lotions to sell online.
Thats where the real money will be.
Opening a stoner bakery isnt such a bad idea either.
>legalized federally
>every non-degenerate state bans it
Exactly as it has before. I absolutely hate this line of thinking that the federal government is the end-all be-all when it comes to drug policy (or just policy in general). All drugs should be legal federally, that doesn't mean states can't step in and criminalize whatever drugs they wish.
this tax argument cracks me up. Where did these people think dealers spent their earnings? Out of the country? Lmao
I will say that legalization seems to have increased the quality of the product, or at least led to more variations. Not big on it myself so whether it's really improved i couldn't tell you. Ton of street DDs will be put out of work though, although many will hang on simply because stoners are lazy and they deliver, and hell it's still just a plant anyone can grow
More revenue, better infrastructure.
>Adolfsville
Don't know what that is. Help please?
DUDE L O L R U KIDDING?? NO ONE WOULD EVER WORK AGAIN BRO WED ALL BE LMAOING ALL DAY EVERYDAY HIGHWAYS WOULD TURN TO SMEARY GORE FILLED KILLING ZONES BRO AND NOONE WOULD CLEAN THAT SHIT UP CUZ EVERYONE WOULD JUST BE SO STONED ALL THE TIME BRO
fuck off kike, no shekels for you
smoke your weed yourself and kys
warning soyim
the push for legalization will start now.
Israel finished developing tech for making mj extract. they want to sell now
Beneficial in the short-term. Detrimental in the long term.
Weed lowers IQ. It reduces motivation. It will have an effect on innovation (what makes the US great) and productivity.
Maybe. It increases agreeableness, or decreases disagreeablenes if you like. I see anons arguing this is a good thing. I suggest you study those traits and reconsider.
Disagreeable people earn more. They work harder. They resist bad ideas. They're harder to manipulate and coerce.
So, there might not be more lefties, but there will less people interested in resisting them.
so kinda like what happened when porn became mainstream in the 90's
