Modern ufotable can't into scheduling. Also, they're bound to ruin something about HF like Zero and UBW.

Well I'm looking forward to True Assassins beatdown of Lancer since that'll be the only relevant fight they'll do for the first movie if it's going to a trilogy. The sad thing with Fate adaptions is that they can't adapt bad endings like Sparks Liner High or Mind of Steel.

But this is not GO! Ufotable can save fate franchise, give it a chance.

This is the main reason why source material > adaptation.

HF is the only route that mattered. First route was worthless and the only people who liked it were boring saberfags. Second route was just as worthless and the only people who liked it where battle shounen faggots.

Why would I be? HF has quite a bit of useless fluff at the very beginning so I would not mind it being cut for more Shirou and Shinji backstory.

Remember how much tension Ilya created during the first route? Those bad endings really made her come off as this demonic little girl, especially with Berserker in the back of your mind while being in the Einzbern mansion. Same goes for Caster who decapitates you and puts your head in a testtube or making Issei a sleeper agent who cuts your stomache open when you ask about Caster. Fate without bad endings just seems off. There's zero tension because it's basically a playthrough while looking at the cheat sheet.

I was wishing this was a full show instead of three movies. It's probably the darkest arc of the game though, so I can understand why they may want to go a route that allows them more creative freedom.

I wonder, would it be a valid tactic in the War to summon a servant as early as possible to give a middle finger to those who wanted to summon a Servant that can only be summoned as a specific class? Or nulling their catalyst to force their Servant to become a Class that they aren't suited for. On top of that you get extra bonding time to make sure you don't stab each other in the back.

For that to work you need exact info about the other masters and what servants they want to summon in what class.

Extra time with your servant also isn't always a good thing. I imagine having a berserker would fuck up anyone without lol-tier magic circuits like illya over time and if you simply don't get along there will be a longer time for grievances to occur and fester

You're dumb, well directed movies require a lot less screentime to convey info effectively than a long, stretched out TV show. UBW's pacing was godawful sometimes, particularly eps 22 and 23.

A trilogy could be the perfect, as long as they make each one fairly long.
