I'll never forgive you!

Even though their lack of forgiveness doesn't really bother the villain.

>ahhh shikatanai

Miru ga ii!

>I'll have to get serious now

>You're kidding, right?

It's more that people never bother applying context when translating this.

IIIIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

KISS SUMMER!!

naka wa dame

>my legs are moving on their own

>omoshiroi

>>I'll have to get serious now
For the 5th time

>h-hayai!

>NANI!?

KISAMAAAAAAAAA

>"I don't get whats going on but" so and so, usually saying that they're gonna team up with so and so to fight a bad guy or something

Like, why do anime characters literally never even try to assess their situation?

...

ahh, gomen gomen

...

UMI DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>I'll definitely beat the crap out of you

Supa saiyajin deska

>yameroooo
>yameteeeeeee

>SHINE!

TEEEEEMEEEEEE

YAMEROOOOO!

GENERIC YELL TO SIGNIFY THAT YOU ARE PUTTING ALL YOUR REMAINING ENERGY INTO YOUR ATTACK

ZA WARUDO

This was especially an issue for me while reading through Steel Jeeg
It's only like 10 or so chapters long, Jeeg says it like every chapter, and the villians are trying to exterminate humanity so I'm pretty sure he was actually motivating the bad guys.

NANIIIIIIIIIIII?

HE'S FAST..

YOU STILL HAVE OXYGEN IN YOUR MUSCLES KID

B-BAKANA!

>hhhhrrrrrrnnnnnnAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

...

BAN.... DAI!!!!

>my hips is moving on their own!

It is the same with many words. Anime & game translators are too lazy for context.
'Kisama' is ALWAYS 'bastard' when in Amiercan translations, regardless of who's saying it. Really knots my knickers, that does. Like some cockney punk or medieval knight, or samurai is ever gonna start using generic Americanese words.

The phrase that always ends up being translated as 'I won't forgive you' would usually be more accurately translated as 'I won't allow [something]'.

But common sense and context are so hard. IT CAN'T BE HELPED.

>are are

>looks like I have no choice but to use
THAT
H
A
T

DAISUKE DES

THAT?!?!

B-BAKANA

T H A T

your mouth says no but your body says yes

sugoi

KYAAAAAAA~~!!!!!

>you pervert!
>i've finally caught up with them
>this technique is still incomplete
>i'm actually a (gender)
really makes me cringe just by typing this

>I wont let you hurt my friends!
>I'll end this with my next attack
>NYAAAAAAAAAA!

>I'm actually a girl
If this doesn't make you hard you're a faggot.

>The phrase that always ends up being translated as 'I won't forgive you' would usually be more accurately translated as 'I won't allow [something]'.
That doesn't make sense when the one speaking is restrained

you just don't get it, do you?

>*sips beer*
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, THAT'S THE STUFF!

Pisses me off since no matter the venue or situation they'll just squeal like a dying animal after having a beer

>m-masaka...

You're all wrong.

The most overused "phrase" in anime is

>Dozo dozo (go ahead / go for it / my pleasure)
or
>Usoda, Sodayio ne? (I Know right?! / Stop lying!)

There's a difference between a catch-phrase, and a direct verbal signifier.

Stuff like
>B-BAKANA
Doesn't qualify as a phrase. It's a verbal cliche, at least, that's what I thought? I could be fucking retarded, which is highly likely.

ONORE

>heh, not bad, you made me use 10% of my power

>doblu car crashu!

My lost brother!

>OISHIIIII
For some reason UMAI doesn't bother me.

No matter how you look at it...

The ideal translation of "yurusenai" is "I will make you pay."

That's just mediocre translation of what is basically a swear word.

The eeeeeehhhhhhh and kyaaaa thing happens irl though. I've got a jap coworker who is constantly doing those fucking sounds and it is kind of getting on my nerves. Why must 3d ruin everything?

HAYAI

...

is the co-worker a qt girl

I'ma deck you right in the schnoz.

ara ara (oh my)

"I'll definitely protect you!"
Like shit nigga what are you going to protect her from you live in anime modern day japan

>even if you say that

It's ok you can just say Misato

>Kurae!!
>Fuzakeru na!!

YAMETE!
>then that character goes super form times one bugrillion

HENTAI

>anime modern day japan
Truck-kun is always lurking around the corner in those parts.

No matter how hard he tries he can't prevent Truck-kun from happening, though.

YAMEROOOOO

...

>I-Imposible!!!11!!!

>OI OI

...

...

ITADAKIMAS

Actually, I am a boy.

>Ojama shimasu
This is specially annoying if the character is entering a house/building they know is abandoned/deserted
They just fucking say it anyway

ATARASHI NO SEKAI

"I'll stay here and hold the ground. You go on ahead."
"If you want to go any further, you'll have to defeat me first."

"x no sekai" in general

fpbp. It's also the worst phrase.
