Was life better in the past, or are we better off now?
Although this girl is as cute as a button, I think life is actually better here in 2018.
What say you

Back then Sup Forums didn't exist, so I would have been free from this hell.
My great grandfather was able to live off the land, never rely on any government assistance and raised 15 children with a woman who never betrayed him
I'll be goddamned if I ever come close to that
if thee was intenet in the 50s, then it would be no contest.
Lol
Define " better"
Why? Because we have "better" distractions?
There literally is nothing, objectively better than, say the 50s
In fact I would wager that if Sup Forums was around in the 50s it would be far less populated than today, because it would not be needed.
Donkeys live a long time.
It was pretty easy. You could openly hate Jews, blacks, Mexicans and of course communist back then.
Some places would hang 'em, which is nice.
Women didn't work once married and stayed home to fuck their men and raise their children and they were smart enough to like it.
"Spousal Rape" was an oxymoron. All sodomy was outlawed, as was all kinds of sex out side marriage (adultery, fornication, homosexuality etc). No birth control so wife was pretty much pregnant all the time.
Even my dad was able to go to college for business for two years and easily get a high paying job in a huge crown corporation, retired at age 51
Whats so great about the internet? Because you're addicted to it?
Porn. Al Gore invented the Internet so we can get porn without having to go to the bookstore on the other side of the rail road tracks.
Lower inflation, lower prices, less social-media and media intrusion, cost of living wasn't wild, etc. etc.
The internet is nice, and all, but I think it's brought more harm to the social aspect than help.
Objectively, yes.
The 1910s were prime USA.
My great grandmother said air conditioning was the best invention ever. Before AC, everyone STUNK. Only about half the people used deodorant in those days, so the summers were bad.
When AC came, people started noticing and deodorant use went way up.
Being gay or even bicurious back then was highly taboo. So if you wanted to experiment with another guy you'd have to be quite secretive about it. But the absolute rush of taking a fully erect schoolboy in your mouth whilst hiding in a hayloft must have been absolutely incredible. So horny.
Well there was more 'pure' white people so in terms of good economics yes it was better.
Life was only better because America was white in the 1950s, and anybody who was non-white in the 1950s was striving to be white or to gain the acceptance of whites.
Life could be better in 2018, and should be better in 2018, but the failed concept of "diversity" has ruined every city in America, ruined a good portion of the schools, and jacked up tax rates to pay for courts, prison, welfare for the diversity project.
If you could wave a magic wand and deport 50 million people from the underbelly of the USA back to their respective shitholes, the current time would blow away the 1950s, just about every one of our problems is due to diversity/demographics.
The internet has exacerbated our problems.
Thanks Australia
1950s USA was the highest point humanity reached socially.
Less niggers, less rights for niggers, obviously it was better.
Fucking sick fuck.
Sup Forums is contrarian, populated by those that are shunned or plain dissatisfied with the current situation, it will always exist.
However when Sup Forums gets really big, that means that a lot of people are dissatisfied, which means the current system is shit.
It's like the Wall Street bulls versus bears but in a political/ideological perspective.
Thanks for agreeing with me meme flag.
Faggot. Add something useful please. Meme flag fag.
I wish we had air conditioning today.
T. Californian.
>this.
but you'd need to read a book or two, and have even a tad of of intellectual curiosity, to know that
