I've always wanted to make a rampage shooting video game for the masses. You could shoot up your school, a theater, or even a concert in Las Vegas. It would be like GTA, but people wouldn't get back up, and it'd be really, really graphic. You could use a gun or any number of weapons available to the common man, like an axe or tire iron. Some would call it a rampage shooting trainer, but I'd call it a frustration-relief simulation.

Apparently there are police you can play as in which you are first responders. However there is a bug in the game where you aren’t punished for killing students or teachers.

Not proud of this, but earlier in my life, I took many different kinds of antidepressants. They may reduce depression, but I'd never had thoughts of suicide or slaughtering others until I took them. I stopped taking them entirely years ago and focused on health instead, and the thoughts stopped, too. Sometimes the urges were really strong. Psychoactive drugs are a lot more dangerous than beneficial. Depression is sometimes just a symptom of shitty circumstances, but instead of fixing their circumstances, they take pills that completely hijack your brain. They don't just "help" a bit; the clinical levels they prescribe for completely override normal brain function. It's frightening that we just accept that these drugs are ok for all. I'd rather deal with potheads than shooters.

I mean having a "break in case of emergency" style firearm on school grounds for the staff and teachers to access to protect their students is a good first step, but some training needs to go along with that so that they would be able to get up the guts to even handle that weapon with some confidence.

Fatalities from gunfire have been proven almost universally to be 1 Killed + 2 Wounded or 33% fatality rate (unless the shooter is a real professional and can hit vitals in their sleep). Those statistics are both school shooting and military related, all the way back to WW2.
Fatalities from Knives and Swords are 1 Killed + 1 Wounded or 50% fatality rate. And when it comes to a maintained battle quality Katana this ratio is more like 60% Fatalities because you get a higher chance of amputations rather than just slashing.

There is alot of blood loss and shock from losing an appendage, which is why the fatality ratio is 50-60%, and with an enraged school slasher who knows they're going to die you know that guy is not going to be checking his blows with that weapon.
School Shootings are a people problem not a weapons problem. And no matter what kind of argument you might give a sword which can do what a Katana does can be manufactured in a person's garage. There is no way to ban it.

Once upon a time high schools had rifle ranges. Students would bring their firearms to class and part of the school day was firearm safety and shooting classes.
They should bring that back.
Yup and it would be almost nothing to have a security guard or police officer to stand in the back of the room while they're practicing too - just to make the parents feel safer that yknow some angsty kid isnt going to take his practice rifle and start shooting everyone else.
They should probably train with .22s, a summer camp I went to had .22 rifles at a practice range and I thought it was pretty neat since thats what I trained on back at home.
How about we create an "american culture class" Everyone gets most of a kit to build their own .22 but have to make the stock themselves in wood shop. After which they start safety and shooting class. You carry your rifle all through school and you get a a metal inset or an engraving on your stock upon graduation. I think it's a fun idea anyhow.

There was a Christian school back a few years ago that went on Fox News(?). It was a private school and they regularly taught their students about active shooters with some of the older more trustworthy students getting more advanced training. Think it was one of those schools that some of the teachers were also allowed to conceal carry on campus.
