Clwyd boi reporting in. I live in the swamp away from people but yes Wales is crap now. Our assembly is dominated by two different breeds of socialists normal labour ones and ones that want Wales to be independent (no more bux from Lloegyr). Wales had been annexed back in the 16th century and was officially part of the Kingdom of England when the flag came into use, first as the flag of Great Britain, then as the Union Jack, and so being as Wales has been historically considered part of England for a long time (and I guess it still is, as Wales still shares a much stronger bond with England than Scotland), it's represented on the Union Jack by Saint George's cross.

Brit here. The flag of the United Kingdom contains the different flags of all of the Kingdoms. The Kingdom of England, the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of Northern Ireland. The reason that Wales is not on the union flag is because it was never a kingdom, it was always and still is a principality.
