Not as bad as it got when Angel Heart came out.

Seen Iria: Zeiram the Animation and loved it. It's a bit lame how they handled some stuff but the style shines through.

It's a shame to learn G-Birkin's design isn't all that original, though.

Speaking of, I heard the Rose of Versailles manga had a NA release slated for 2015 but nothing has happened yet. I did check the twitter of the company that is working on it and in April of 2017 they said they were still working on it so... I have a sliver of hope still I guess

Space Adventure Cobra, pure fun in episodic formula done right

Gotten 20 episodes into Soreyuke Uchuu Senkan Yamamoto Yohko, only 6 left. The music is pretty cool, I like it much. And it's interesting enough.
Between "good" and "bad", I'd pick good, but it's not mindblowing so it wouldn't be my first word to describe it either.

I'm curious about the title. It's similar to "Uchuu Senkan Yamato", but in this case the name is the battleship. Does Japanese grammar allow a different meaning too? I'm wondering if there could be some deep meaning that she actually is a battleship? Japanese grammar lessons please

I think someone recommended this last halloween or the last and I ended up watching it. Some of the gags are good and its pretty cute. My favorite parts are when you see the father/daughter relationship between Dracula and Chocola

I watched the first two episodes of LoGH for some reason.

I finished the encode for Pinnochio. I uploaded it to Youtube instead because Dailymotion has a dumb daily upload limit. I'm trying to keep the filesizes down because I don't have much space available (and I can't seed 25gb+ rips), so someone else should encode these themselves if they want to sub it, because I don't know anything about quality encodes (and these aren't meant for archival anyway). I'll make a torrent in a bit after I ask a guy who has a seedbox. The DVDs are on AB if you want to get them. I will probably do Marude Dameo next, since that doesn't seem to have a full rip available. Otherwise I'm going down AB's better.php list for series that are DVD ISO-only.

Angel Heart and City Hunter are 2 independant series that are not related story-wise.

Also, it was the anime that was extremely dull. Typical Toei long-running shit. The manga was great through and through (which is not the case of Angel Heart by a long shot, by the way).

Planing to get into Vampire Hunter D and I guess there was a manga, a book, a comic and some movies. Should I just watch the movies or are the comics worth while?

I finally pulled the trigger and bought Lupin season 2 from Discotek. haven't had a chance to watch anything, but I plan on at the very least taking some screenshots so people here can see quality and compare subs to the other sources available.

Is Ace wo Nerae 2 a sequel to Ace wo Nerae or Shin Ace wo Nerae? Does Shin go further than Ace wo Nerae or does it cover the exact same material? It would be terrible if AwN2 got subbed and you still can't watch it because of Shin.

I can't say since I've only seen season 1 and the 79 movie. I'm pretty sure the original and Shin are interchangeable.

Seems weird to remake a show from scratch and still not go further. The movie only went a bit further just to spoil you S2 but not really cover more plot than S1.

I think GTO is the only one I had watched and liked besides Warau Salesman.

I finished Do You Remember Love next week and just finished Macross 7 as well as Encore and the "movie" today. I've got three more episodes of Dynamite left which I'll be finishing off tomorrow. Good stuff, especially DYRL which was a GOAT movie, but 7 was fun too despite what gets said about it.

I actually watched SDF and Frontier a while ago and Delta while it aired so when I finish this up, I'll probably go on to Plus and then the Frontier movies to complete the series this time around. I think having a gap before watching the movie versions of SDF and F was a good idea.

I stopped when I got to an episode where the plot was just 'girl falls in love with Ryo' and that was fucking it. I was sitting there thinking, 'surely there will be an action scene eventually.'

Watched the Sanctuary Arc a few months ago. Despite not reading the manga, various parts really seemed as filler. The Silver Saint fights (Especially Algol) and the Gold Saint gauntlet were great though.

recently watched pic related for the first time, makes me wish there was more and that the manga lasted more too...

the only filler were the Steel Saints episodes if I remember correctly

im watching devilman lady it's pretty good.

It's definitely a sequel.

It's great. Very abstract, but the visuals and music are strong enough to carry the movie even if you don't care about the plot.

I ask, because I've noticed there's no english subs and I have the episodes with the raw audio and can translate the subs from the spanish ones
