Koe no Katachi

In 3 days. Double that time for it to get subbed.
Wont it be subbed asap when UK gets their Itunes release?
Who's gonna sub it?
I liked Kimi no na Wa better to be desu
Kono Sekai was better than both though
I have screenings of this in my country.
I watched it in the cinema a few days ago.
it's really not so bad.
can be a bit hard to watch because of the bullying.
Just saw it.
Movie has great animation and music. Plot was better in the manga, IMO.
just watched it
PURE KINO
Hopefully subs come out fast I loved the manga though it has been quite a while since I read it , the final chapter released when I was almost finished reading it, so almost 2 and a half years ago now I guess
is it better than Kimi no Na Wa?
I can't really compare the two.
I watched it last weekend in theaters and I have a decent understanding of Japanese. I feel like I could provide a translation if someone were to help with the timing and muxing.
Mexibro here.
It isn't THAT good to be honest. It is still okish though.
Pretty much this:
No where nearly close, maybe it's the culture different but in my watching a lot of people leaving near the end. The japanese's tendency to suicide really confuse us here. I mean c'mon, it's just bullying, people have it worse and still not wanting to off themself everyy waking moments.
Compare to Kimi no na wa, the climax and the end is a bit lame too.
>The japanese's tendency to suicide really confuse us here. I mean c'mon, it's just bullying, people have it worse and still not wanting to off themself everyy waking moments.
Can you really say this when shows like 13 Reasons Why are mainstream?
Oh right, I forgot burgers shoot the kids at their school instead of themselves when they're bullied.
>leaving near the end
what fucking cunts
>spoiler
let's just say some people can and can't handle it
Huh, right after I posted this I realized can't be a burger because they didn't get the movie.
to add on a positive note, it was really typical Kyoani with subtle yaoibait AND yuribait AND feet
Just watched this today.
It was good, superb ost and animation, the plot was okayish.
We didn't get Kimi no na Wa here so i can't compare them.
Overall it is a good movie.
There were some moments that were actually a bit hard to watch.
Can't wait for Ueno in fully animated glory!
>There were some moments that were actually a bit hard to watch.
Like the last part.
>Black screen, BRIGHT SCREEN, Black screen again, ITS A FUCKING BRIGHT SCREEN AGAIN, repeat x4 times more.
Does kimi no nawa have a release date for the BDs? the nips will have an earlier release than the brits, rite?
Sorry to break it to you, but that isn't exclusive to Japan. Suicide is actually thing everywhere, it's just actively treated as taboo subject.
she looks great. a bit like ShibuRin.
your name BD jap release is july or something
what hit me was how an anime on a deaf girl had the most fitting and beautiful soundtrack.
Superb use of sound.
I've yet to hear a reliable opinion on the film because everyone here and elsewhere are just making surface level observation of narrative progression and character motivation aka plain summaries without anything insightful to say about its aesthetic/formal elements.
It is nit available in my city because there isn't any cinepolis. It's not fair, bro.
July 17th
What do you want to know about it?
>Might be better than Kimi no na wa
No. Tamako Love Story is a better rival that this.
It's good, especially the visuals but really pale story-wise. The story seems dragging along over the two hours and there's nothing memorable in the middle part of the movie.
I also hate the ending, which is also the same in the manga, where they unanimously forgive him just because he saved Shoko.
And that OST, very lackluster. I don't know if they're imitating a deaf sound because of how minimal the music was, but the payoff wasn't even that rewarding.
If you've read the manga or are a fan of movie adaptations, I say go ahead and watch it. If not, you can give it a miss.
If you don't understand the themes in the manga it's going to be hard to connect with the film. Watched it with my normie friends, none of them had read the manga. They all thought it was pretty meh.
Highlights of the movie? Soundtrack and use of sound in general, especially when centred around a deaf girl. Good animation, good voice acting.
Downsides? Plot is generally pretty dull. Nothing to connect first-time watchers. Characters and story got cut due to time constraints. Nothing really stands out from the crowd.
If you've gone through depression/suicidal thoughts, you'll probably like it. If not, it'll be less than average for you.
When will that be? I suppose if release groups can just rip these off there won't be a proper fansub.
You're not going to find reliable reviewers on Sup Forums. Just read several all over the place, most of them unfortunately will be as you described, a few of them will stand out and you'll know by the writing.
Tamako Love Story > Koe no Katachi
That's all you need to know.
Go, watch it and form your own opinion, there's nothing to add if you're already familiar with the plot/manga.
Some people might refrain from doing a detailed review here because of laziness or to avoid spoiling first time watchers.
>Double that time
>6 days until it's fully subbed
You're delusion, more like a month.
I didn't read the manga.
what the heck do you want me to say?
audio-wise, it made very good use of silence and the frequency spectrum in general as a big element in storytelling.
near the end it makes everything go through when he opens his ears.
Speaking of which, why is Kono Sekai available here?
bilibili.com
sounds like a recipe for a 10/10 masterpiece
it is a 10/10 masterpiece user, dont let anyone tell you otherwise
it's really good
but it's not for everyone
as in if you don't like depression/suicidal themes, "how can you get bullied lmao just walk away from the computer", then you will cringe more than enjoy
