Wait... last thread you guys were arguing he destroyed the base and killed people, now you're trying to tell me he didn't hit anything? At least get your narrative straight.
Nolan Walker
Hey those aren't totally unrealistic numbers. Trump won my county at 95%, who says you can't expand that to a whole country?
Evan Allen
Who would vote for a person who gassed his people and killed hundreds of thousands of civillions? Assad is in no position to hold any credible elections, its just a matter of time before the UN takes control and Assad is arrested

He did hit the base and killed people. The people who say it did no damage are retards. However, the damage it did was not as great as the potential. Mainly because Russian AA defense intercepted and shot down 23 of those 59 missile whilst they were en route, and after the first few hit the rising smoke fucked with the targeting computers and made the remaining missiles not as accurate

He bombed that airfield based on bad Intel (fucking white helmets). He's wasnt malicious or seeking a fight, but he got baited and made a mistake that killed a few people. What's going on now with the border force and SDF isn't a mistake like , but downright cancerous, especially with that arab warlord Abu Tahir(?) hiring his old ISIS friends out of the Omar oilfield and all this talk of "assad must go".
I don't think he's personally handling foreign policy, but whoever is is doing the exact same shit as the last two guys

To be fair most elections were rigged, but I think the 2014 one was genuine. During arab spring Assad did make many reforms and in this election it was the first one where another party was allowed to run. I think it was legitimate, but only people in govt controlled areas were allowed to vote, but the votes that were counted weren't rigged. But that's why he won at 88.7% instead of the usual near 100%. Most Syrians in govt controlled areas are nervous of the potential instability caused by Assad leaving and someone else taking over during this time of strife. The 2014 election was genuine, or at least as genuine as it can be when only the people in govt controlled areas could vote However, yeah, the other elections were rigged
Samuel Ortiz
Are you trying to convince us not to support Assad or something as equally a mundane waste of time?
Easton Rivera
Ah yes 88%, very realistic for a country with many different minorities an active rebellion against the guy.
Jayden Ward
Arabs think like this > why we hold election? Current leader is alive and well. > I'll just vote for whoever my local tribal leader/boss says to vote Democracy is a literal meme to them

As I said, it was only in govt controlled areas. The rebels boycotted it. You do realize the rebels aren't democratic at all though, right? This is who Assad is fighting. These are the "moderate" rebels en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahrar_al-Sham Ideology Sunni Islamism Salafism[1][2][3] Salafist jihadism[4]
They're not secular freedom fighters who want democracy, they want a theocratic state like Saudi Arabia and Qatar This is one of the major rebel groups who are considered "Moderates" There's also the FSA, but the FSA at this point is just like Ahrar and Ahrar and FSA work together closely and support the same civil government There's also en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nour_al-Din_al-Zenki_Movement
Active Late 2011[1] – present Ideology Sunni Islamism
Salafism[1] Salafist jihadism[2]
Again, a "moderate" rebel group The largest opposition group by far is this though
They are de facto Al Qaeda, and while they and the FSA + Ahrar are rivals and support different governments, they do closely cooperate in operations against the Syrian government, infighting occurs but it's fairly rare Of course in operations against the Syrian govt the moderate™ rebels and these guys work together very closely and share weapons and supplies so all weapons given to the "moderates" end up in their hands. And remember, they are de facto Al Qaeda They used to be de jure but split away officially, but it was only a publicity stunt and they still have informal relations Their head is also a US designated terrorist, Al Joulani There's also these guys that fight alongside the rebels too, another major group
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkistan_Islamic_Party They're mainly Uyghurs from Xinjiang province of China, they got fucking btfo there though. I suppose the goal is to help establish a state that they can have their HQ in to plan and coordinate actions against China in Xinjiang, just have a safe haven
Christian Cooper
This. I used to be a big supporter of his, and acknowledged the good fight that he was initially fighting, but him deliberately targeting civilians and hospitals - not to mention literally gassing his own people - was what drove me away from him. To be fair, I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that Israel is the only moral army in this war.

36 missiles intercepted or jammed. Many fell into the ocean. Some were found in the Tartus countryside. Only 6 aircraft were actually destroyed and one ammo cache was destroyed. I can't remember what else was hit but that is the vast majority of the damage done. I think Russia also delivered used one or two Su-24Ms. Which are far more effective than the destroyed and outdated Su-22s and MiG-23s as the Su-24Ms have Gefast installed.
Brody Robinson
SDF aren't jihadists
Lucas Cruz
I'm learning to use my left hand to remember my BLACK brethren in Congo whose left hands were cut off by subhuman honkeys. Wish we TÜRKs stopped the honkeys there.
Dylan James
nope, no jihadist in their ranks at all
David Taylor
well duh There are always exceptions, they're good at infiltrating all factions of the conflict.
Mason Sullivan
They're not, but they're also not "democratic" either. The PYD purged all political opposition. They're '''democratic confederalists'''' though, which is anarcho communism lite. Antifa loves them, and a lot of westerners are going there to fight for them and then return home and cause a bunch of problems for us.

>infiltrating You mean the SDF actively absorbs Jihadists into their forces. There is a reason why the Omar fields fell right into SDF hands without a fight.
That's better than the alternatives, there are no perfect solutions.
Mason Myers
Assad is the best alternative out of all of them though. He's not a national security threat to the US
Brayden Allen
>There is a reason why the Omar fields fell right into SDF hands without a fight. sounds like a conspiracy theory, the better reason are the american forces working with the SDF steamrolling the shit out of ISIS

He would be fine if he didn't align with Iran, the worlds largest exporter of terrorism and a nation actively breaking treaties to research ICBMs and nukes.

Oh it isn't a conspiracy theory. For all the footage that SDF has released of them fighting at Omar. But feel free to try and look for it yourself.
Xavier Russell
Lad. The US actively gave weapons and support to the jihadist rebels in the past, and they still are at Al Tanf. These weapons and arms ended up in AQ hands. And currently the US is arming the YPG, which is *DIRECTLY* linked to the PKK. And the PKK is literally a US designated terrorist organization
Eli Price
...they aren't breaking any nuclear treaties though.
Isaiah Rodriguez
Reminder honkeys, we will come for you and kill every single one of you. For your crimes.

>The US actively gave weapons and support to the jihadist rebels in the past, That was Obama.
Is it? I thought it was only Turks who had that designation for PKK. Not anymore at least de jure. They still would be if US had any competent people in the UN in 2015. Or actually since 2000.
Cooper Sanchez
My heart bleeds for the dead cities in Syria, I hope some of it survives so I can see it after the war....
Justin Jackson
>157213301 They're not breaking any treaty. Their missile development isn't violating the Nuclear deal, only the US says they are, not any of the other observers of the deal
