Kyoto Animation

Let's have a nice civil discussion about the most talented studio that makes only perfect shows, future of Japanese anime.

Pixar discussion belongs on or .

What's next for Yamada after failing to impress critics with Koe no Katachi?

SOON

I Love Moe

Would have preferred a third season but I can see it being hard to make since half of the team is out of school.

I wonder what KyoAni would be like without Haruhi

>Same face
>Moe SoL series over and over
>Never leave its comfort zone
>"""""Most talented""""
Come again?

What are you talking about?

I'm not sure if they make perfect shows - but I hope their rumored employment ethics and the arguable influence it has on their output quality bleeds into the rest of the industry. My fear is that while their animation quality and attention to scene establishment is commendable - they won't be able to translate that quality into bankable sales since the industry is driven by a very odd niche. KyoAni would be more of a superstar if it had to compete in a more westernized business environment, however, Anime isn't accepted enough yet for outfits like KyoAni to transplant itself into another market easily. I'd also love to see KyoAni take on a totally different sub-genre outside of their usual wheelhouse in an attempt to broaden their stable of fans.

>perfect shows
>Clannad

Clannad was shit, but I blame the source material. Kyoto Animation needs to break out of its typecasting.
