>The episode is out in all of the usual places.
Splendid! I've been looking forward to this.

Is this cartoon good?
I found episode 1 to be kind of janky and awkward, but the Range Murata ass at the end gave me a flash of hope.

It's a neat science fiction show that appears to take its science fiction relatively seriously.
I like it.

Will Alice get a happy ending?

user, the real Alice is already long dead

don't talk shit about my past like that

I take it that Ido tried to stop or prevent mankind's expansion into space or something along those lines.
Deeming the methods to be dangerous or something.

>Check Leopard
>Not out

Cunt.

Turns out I'm blind.

I'm going to take this "Enemy of Humanity" shit with a grain of salt given the source.

So what exactly do we think this is?

>planet
>comes out of warp
hmm

This little bundle of joy never fails to make me smile.

She looked really happy riding around on Ido.

...

What are they reading?

>Hideous looking CG-shit
No thanks Sup Forums

So, can we have a first impression about ID-0?

First impression?
It's been half a season, mate.
It's my second favourite show of the season right after Kado, personally.

Anyone else think masked guy was Ido's original body?

Have a pity (you)

So what you're saying is that you're going to watch it with /m/?

I am afraid that things are going to get bad for everyone starting next week

I almost dropped it 2 minutes in. Don't worry user, it's incredibly fun. Episodes pass by in a flash, it's surprisingly the thing I'm looking forward most every week aside from Natsume and Uchouten.

I feel like Ido's crime might be related with doing some illegal and ungodly science for Alice's sake with dire and not fully understood consequences.

Maybe ID-0 is Miguel.

I hope the picture gets clearer when we are told what Orichalc is. Who made it, where it comes from, anything. So far we only know that the stuff is mankind's main energy source, extremely valuable, and unexpectedly sentient after ID-0 touches the planetoid. The Orichalc constructed Alice from memories that might or might not be ID-0's, and it protects her. Maybe he made the Orichalc or summoned it from the sixth layer of hell or whatever. Maybe he is the Orichalc conscience, uploaded an instance of himself into the Orichalc in the beforetime. Maybe part of him is in the Orichalc, the other part in the giant robot. We will see.

Do all releases have bad video quality? ID-user's look really bad at times.

Fish looks decent.

omnia mutantur, nihil interit

everything changes, nothing perishes

I'm getting Homeworld: Cataclysm vibes from this show. Episodes are built around warp jumps and we have this wierd red thing that inhabits vacuum space and is apparently setient and can board your ship. Freaky stuff.

Another great episode. Maya is so cute.

I love sf, Ill give it a try.

Wew. Things are getting serious now.
Also, 3D indistinguishable from digital 2D when? Miyazaki does not apply.

boobs

Poor Maya.

the usual places

what does this mean now that nyaa is dead?

She's too good for this uncaring universe.

Is she talking about Lt.-san?

sex

>not following the pantsu
>not using XDCC whenever any tracker is down
>implying I will show you where to find it

Obiously tokyotosho

>hey kid, wanna /ll/?

>the quiet cool guy immediately became a pedophile waifufag
THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER PICK UP SPACE LOLI

>implying I still have an IRC client installed in 2017

fuck, time to dig up that old hexchat install

I want to make Maya a mother.

Homeworld: Cataclysm was a great game. At least the Orichalc doesn't turn ships into a biological nightmare that absorbs their crew.

"we scanned her and she's totally human"
>has a tail
>star pupils
>can breath in space
yeah no this lil shit isn't human sempai

Leave Alice alone!

>typing in senpai manually
I like that normalfag nigger twitter speak is finally fading out desu.

Bubuki Buranki occasionally hit the mark, but the illusion falls apart depending on the angle and distance from the camera. And the actual animation was lacking.

The best attempt I've seen is Cassette Girl.

The tail is just part of her outfit, no?
Alice's outfit is really odd though. It's cute and I am sure a little girl would it find the costume fun. But in the flashback Alice was wearing normal clothes.

Even if the orichalt disintegrated Alice and trapped her inside of the crystals for a few centuries or whatever. I kind of doubt the crystals made her outfit.
So before Alice became the little space girl that she is now, someone must have given her her current outfit, no?

Is this show comfy?

buzzwords do not apply

I disliked it so much that I quit halfway through the first episode.
But on recommendation from Sup Forums, I gave it another shot and am glad that I did. I was afraid it would be adventures of a whiny girl in space, but the MC actually develops nicely to the point where in the latest episode she has the wherewithal to grab a loose gun and aim it at a guy threatening someone she's trying to protect. And not the hand shaking, voice cracking whiny desperation like a lot of protags, but a resolution to shoot if this guy doesn't release the little girl.
The show gets into surprisingly dark territory with several characters who are trapped in their robot bodies because their real bodies have been destroyed. One guy even had his consciousness trapped inside a virtual prison for years with nothing to do but think and observe the passage of time. Stuff like this is casually thrown out conversations and you begin to realize that this isn't a warm, fluffy space opera universe.

No. It's not edgy or full of suffering but it's not comfy either. It's neutral. A flat 5/10 on the comfy scale.

something's fucky

She rolled a nat20 on charisma

Maybe immediately before the last time he updated his avatar he got really tan on vacation?

If her mother was fair skinned. And both her parents were fair skinned. And at least one of Grayman's parents were.
Then this really isn't all that unreasonable, even with Grayman's skin tone.

full nudist when

It's called "Anime", dad.

>It's my second favourite show of the season right after Kado
It's definitely the surprise of the season (along with Kado). I'd probably put it in my top 3 so far, with Kado and Uchouten. Going into it, I would have said that this season was a bust, but it's turned out to be a more enjoyable one than what I expected.

...

I really hope we get proper scans of those paintings someday. I love them.

Infinite evolution?

You don't have to do all that if you don't want to. It all always gets posted in the /m/ thread.

Observer had a cool ship.

I quite like the the design of the ships in this show in general.
These tubular, cylindrical design are neat.

This.

Low tech scifi can be pretty good looking.

Why is this shows world building so great? We need more sci fi anime that actually take their setting seriously and aren't ridden with asspulls and deus ex machinas as a way to resolve narrative conflicts.

I don't think this shows overarching plot is anything super spectacular, but the fact that the writers tried to keep some semblance of consistency with their sci world's tech capabilities is so incredibly refreshing that I look forward to this show so much every week, even though i miss most of the threads.

This show honestly deserves more attention than it's getting, having threads die after only being up a few hours is annoying and sad and making a thread on any other day is guaranteed to have it die with less than 10 posts if that.

There's two reasons it's not getting attention
1) Being a Netflix licensed show, which means HS can't rip anything and to watch it we need fansubs.
The only exceptions I can remember that get attention despite Netflix are Nanatsu no Taizai (the fantasy shonen) (which got attention because it already had a fanbase) and LWA (which got attention because Trigger)
2) It's a full CG show. 2D purists are inmediately put off
Given Kado, reason number 2 isn't as important as reason number 1. ยท

It's from Ovid's Metamorphoses. A few words about metempsychosis, the transmigration of the soul from one living being to the next. He wrote them in defense of vegetarianism, but I don't think that context matters here.

"Everything changes, nothing dies: the spirit wanders, arriving here or there, and occupying whatever body it pleases, passing from a wild beast into a human being, from our body into a beast, but is never destroyed. As pliable wax, stamped with new designs, is no longer what it was; does not keep the same form; but is still one and the same; I teach that the soul is always the same, but migrates into different forms."

He's just tanned, look at his facial features. Though it might be an idealised version, like Morfeus in Matrix had smoother skin and better teeth when in virtual space.

I believe the space suits deserve some praise.

When will we get to see Amanza in her underwear?

Beach episode when? Clair needs to show off.
