Is that the correct viewing order? Patlabor is next on my list after Monogatari series.

Completely agree OP, /m/ overhypes this badly written franchise.

That's the order I watched it in, though I intend on watching the TV show at some point as well

You should also watch the 3rd movie.
It doesn't have much to do with the rest of the franchise, but it's still a pretty good detective story.
