I've never seen it because I don't normally like mecha shit but all my friends say its worth a watch.
I've never watched it despite being a mechafaggot.
I grew out off it when I finished it
Watching it right now desu, ep 18 and it´s quite entertaining.
On my personal ranking (moe/sol not included), it is a 6/10, Black Lagoon is at its best a 8/10, equal to OPM, and EVA is 10/10, ofc.
Clearly aimed at western audiences.
never ever ! trying to watch some mecha super robot anime because TTGL is one of my favs anime , anybody can recommend me something besides getter robo ( i really can't into manga )
I watched it two weeks ago at 27 and it jumped into my top 9
>these are the average TTGLfags
Really makes you think.
It stopped being cool to shit on TTGL years ago.
Now you need to pretend to hate moe.
No, now it's cool to pretend to hate Kill la Kill.
Also LWA, because it's "blatent yuripandering CGDCT pointless shit".
never
At what age did I grow out of having confidence in myself?
Immediately
I remember when I was 16 and thought it was the greatest thing ever made when I first watched it.
I don't really care for it anymore but I really should rewatch it since it's the 10th anniversary.
Never.
>watched it when i was 15 and didn't like it that much
>watch it again when i'm 18 and it became one of my favorites anime
TTGL is for adults
Thats weird i hate LWA for lack of character development and a shit plot
He just said TTGL was 6/10, stupid Getterspic
>projecting
have you checked out his 10/10 and his 8/10, redditor?
Grew out of it three years ago, then recently started to grow back into it again.
One does not simply 'grow out' of TTGL
Watched the last arc on the sci-fi late night anime block once when I was 16. Thought the space stuff was cool and that was the only reason why I watched it. Never "felt" the hype.
Watched the entire anime 8 years later and still felt like the space arc was pretty boring.
I thought scryed was much better then, and I still think it's much better now.
>looking for character development and plot in an episodic series
>This is what Evafags actually believe
>spic posting
You have to go back to /m/
>i really can't into manga
Your loss.
episode 4
never
>this was a Sunday morning cartoon
>TV Tokyo now airs Elena of Avalor, Pokemon and Duel Masters on Sunday mornings
What went wrong?
Pokemon may not be as explicit, but the fact that it's kodomo makes the lewdness 10 times lewder.
Never been to /m/, pablo.
It does has a plot akko has to find all 7 words of the boring fucking shit, also just because its episodic doesn't excuse how bland the characters are
As in Evangelion but to a lesser extent, it's not about mechas fighting
>Trying to shit on Gurren Lagann
You done fucked up.
This is a bullshit thing to say every time it's said. No mecha anime is about mechas fighting. Name me 5 that are "about mechas fighting". You can't. They're all about war and the eternal arms race, or transhumanism, or plain old character drama, or something else. They're not about mechas fighting. TTGL and Eva aren't some special intellectual exceptions and you aren't smarter for having said they are.
I never got into it because I was never a Sup Forums crossboarder
>"Growing out" of TTGL
Just who the hell do you think I am?
It's pretty shit, one of the most overrated anime in history.
And that redhead is a slut
...
Haven't watched it yet. My little brother (10) binged it while I was out of town and told me I really needed to watch it, which is something I'm not sure how to feel about. But the animation looks excellent and I like Trigger, so I'll probably give it a chance.
And the same shits going to happen to Imaishi's new anime this year and thus, the circle of life continues.
Lucky Star is better than TTGL.
Loved it when I was 12
Loved it when I was 20
I don't know OP, it seems preety good even now
It sullied the whole show
You never grow out of it.
Never. The soul of best bro lives on through eternity.
still havn't
irc wasn't Sup Forums feverishly anti anything Japanese back when gurren laggan aired?
That's only because we're lolicons, user.
You people shit talking this show don't know anything. This is a story about a boy becoming a man. Something you little bitches will never accomplish therefore won't understand.
Never did.
...
>Implying age is the reason TTGL is so well liked.
Never user.
Never. I just don't care to rewatch the whole thing since the timeskip parts are the fucking worst.
Watched it when I was 16, 4 years later it's still my favorite
Its flashy and has big robots fighting big robots/things, a lot of things little kids would like. Does not mean there are not other aspects that even if cliche as fuck, are done well and can be enjoyed by a more mature audience.
>ep18
ain't seen nothing yet.
fucking never
