Okay, first off, you may very well be right in theorizing that america is going down the drain, based on the past 20 years of economic performance and comparing it to it's hayday, it certainly isn't doing as well.
But insinuating that minimum wage is somehow a good thing and that, if it were to go to $1, or better yet abolished competently, that would somehow be a bad thing, is completely preposterous.
Time and time again I've posted lengthy arguments against minimum wage and why it does nothing but create a shortage of workers and labor demand in industries specifically for unionists that periodically rally for it an increase. It hurts the inexperienced, the uneducated and minorities and otherwise discriminated against, because it removes their bargaining position to offer to work for a lower wage to compete with their qualified peers.
The price of labor should not be mandated and should be dictated by the market, based solely on a supply and demand system only, because the price of labor indirectly controls the cost of living and while minimum wage may very well exist in theory to help the lower class, in practice it does the opposite.
You may very well be correct in your future predictions, but read up on economics before you start making assumptions about minimum wage. Here, have an ass if you read this far.

I mean the idea behind minimum wage is a good thing, but the mechanism in which it sets out to achieve it's goal is counterproductive.
Im all for a base level of distributed wealth, like universal basic income, but using a system that entices those receiving it to still work, like a negative income tax.
To me that would achieve better, what minimum wage sets out to do, unless you take minimum wage at face value in that is only exists to stifle demand in industries and promote overpaid positions for unionists.

I've been on marijuana for 20 years but aside from that I don't take anything, not even caffeine. I'll take a acetaminophen if I get a fever is about it. There are so many drugs and hormones in the water now though. Even if you drink bottled water, you still get the drug water every time you bathe or shower it absorbs through your skin.
